I use with my EVH 5150III.. Believe me.. . this unit can do more than the video shows!!!!!.. excellent piece for live, and studio... Sometimes I just use it with the EQ off and carry the signal to other cab or virtual cab... That load box is perfect.. The most pleasant for me its the full analog construction.
just received mine on Dec. 29...it is as advertised -> while admittedly still in honeymoon phase, it's insanely musical/toneful, and mates well with all my MV and non-MV heads (/13, BF Fenders, 1959SLP)
I have this box and it works great with my Knucklehead Reverb 55.The possibility of different sounds and sound signatures from these two combined is just staggering.I have also used it with great results combined with my Victory Sheriff 22 as a portable rig of awesomeness.Would love to have a Rivera cab with my Knucklehead too, unfortunately, I had little luck finding a rivera 212 cab at any EU retailers, hope that changes in the future :).
How much of it works when the power supply is not connected? The original Rock Crusher is a passive device, is that right? I hope Rivera designed it to bypass the EQ when the EQ switch is off so the user has the option to use it without the power supply.
I have a question! If you had the rockcrusher eq at flat settings like how you had it at the beggining of the video and then disengaged it would there be a difference? I ask because with the eq flat the amp didnt sound like a typical amp without a speaker emulation, so with the EQ flat is it still emulating or inserting a voicing?
Damn.... definitely have my attention. Spent so much on competing products and tons of IR's and but can't seem to get good palm muting tones with them... Is this box a reactive load as well?
Nope it doesn't. If U run a cap U can use the attenuater, the speaker emulater can be use for the front of the House it doesn't affect you're Speaker Tone.
I really love this unit... any kind of genre I play sounds awesome... see different guitars through this unit here ua-cam.com/video/c6fKwHOOQC4/v-deo.html . Thanks Rivera!
This is useless if you cannot store it as a preset and call it up after. You would have to adjust this thing after every song and that makes it a one trick pony because it is lacking the feature of being a preset storing processor. Although, I love it to pieces accept that one issue.
I might be an ok guitar player. But one of my fortes' is having an excellent ear for good gear. Transparent should be the proper word to help describe this excellent element.

I was considering a Kemper until I discovered this absolutely amazing product and it protects the amp as well
I'd love an in depth yet simple video like this one but on the Mini Rockrec. Proud owner of a Rivera KTre :)

good video
Can you run the Rockcrusher between the amp and cab for attenuation only without powering it?
Paul in another video said it is not able to use EQ into a cab, only activated with speaker simulation.

What is your signal path? I'm looking to get into recording and I am wondering which USB interface to get such as a Focusrite, Apogee, RME, etc.

yes
wonderful !! but what is the " pad " switch guys ?
If you are using a 100W amp and you crank it, you might wanna turn that switch on so it prevents the speaker emulation circuit being overloaded. For
Does the EQ affect the speaker output as well?
Lukas Hill thank you very much
this works still if you are plucked in a cap? Sounds awesome!

Hello 2017, I am from the future. Soon reactive loads with built in Impulse Response ( IR ) loaders will be available. Save your pennies.

except it XD
This comment is just plain ridiculous. You don't see guitarists jumping through different cabinets in between songs, come on....
