@@Galaxy-wm9fy My dog was like that too when she was a pup so I gave up. I was a kid back then. Maybe just be patient and keep on repeating it until they get it. I taught my dog "shake" by putting her paw on my hand while saying "shake" and then i gave her a treat.

The myth he was trying to address was the old idea that dogs saw in black and white, or monochrome. It's closer to Deuteranope style color blindness in humans. Honestly we can only look at the physiology and make educated assumptions about what the world looks like to dogs. There's a lot more to vision than just the old eyeballs.

This video is wrong dogs age baced on weight. Over weight they age faster there wrong on swimming and not being color blind. Why dose my dog yons when he wakes up or stretches
@@johnraymond1861 Do you by chance have some scientific paper references? The video doesn't provide provide much of an analysis apart from throwing out information on how it is but without a proof. I think this is why I got confused after watching it 😂
@@ShareTheWisdom The color blind thing is exactly how humans are cooler blind! Dogs ageing talk to any vet weight has Alot to do with it I saw it with my own dogs. The tail moving is not the same reason for all breeds? the yonning and water thing wrong to
some of this doesn't apply to my dog. he doesn't have and undercoat, it's southern arizona so in winter it only gets to low 40s and high 30s, his tail is curled so you can only tell if he wags it, he waits by the door when my mom leaves and jumps around and cries when she walks back in even if it's only for 4 minutes.

For the dog years thing: 1. No, a 1 year old dog is way less than 31 dog years. In fact, the 7 years myth was closer (it's closer to ~15). The speed they age is dependent on the breed. 2. Smaller doggos tend to age slower than big ones. A 10 year old Cairn Terrier is less Dog Years than a 10 year old Golden Retriever .The cairn terrier is around ~55, and the golden retriever is around ~69 (Nice). 3. Yes, the first year is when they age the fastest, the second year is around 9 dog years. Then rest can range from 4 dog years to 7 dog years.
In my mind, I calculate dog years as follows: every time your dog goes to sleep and wakes up, that is equal to one day. Idk if that is exactly right, but it makes sense to me.

My dog died last year, she was 18 years old, which would of made the dog 126 years old in human years.

One of my aunt and uncles have a dog named noosha, I haven’t seen them in 2 years and when I saw noosha after those 2 years she was SO exited

@@predictivetextisforaunts I think Noosha remembered me because she was born when I was 2 and I my aunt and uncle got her when when she was very young and I knew her for so long
On other reason could be that she knew me and my sister would give her more attention because my aunt and uncle had 2 kids so it harder for them to pay attention to noosha as much as they used to imagine trying to to care of a toddler, newborn baby and a dog with 100% attention to each!

There are actually some dogs that can eat chocolate with no problems whatsoever, I learned that from one of my exs vet. Let's just say my ex was very well off in life and lived in a very upscale city so obviously she had the best vets and facilities for her what I call "Foo-Foo" dogs. But that still doesn't mean I'd give any of my GSD's or Belgians any chocolate.🐺🐺🤐😅

Which breed was it or was it muddog ? One muddog from my neigborhood had 24 year when i met him eith my female beagle who was 7 at that time and lived 13 years. In my account where first year is fifteen and every other 5 human years your dog would be 135 human years when it passed away.

Yeah, it would have been better to say that dogs don't see the world in black and white, rather they are red-green colorblind. Hence why my dog's favorite blankets and toys are the blue ones, because that is the strongest color she can actually see.

Problems with this video.
#1 Says dogs aren't colorblind but then explains that they are.
#2 Each breed of dog ages differently so there is no way to exactly tell.
#3 tail movements don't always mean something, or don't mean what you think.
#4 Not all dogs "love to swim". Dogs have personalities and some don't like water.
#5 A dog meeting you at the door wagging it's tail doesn't mean it's untrained, it means they are excited to see you.
Please do more research next time instead of finding your "facts" on Facebook.

Ageing also depends a great deal on breed and size. Small dogs tend to live a lot longer than large dogs. I knew one little terrier that made it to 20. Oh, and my dog's name is Max.
