Ummm no the jbl has a 12 inch subwoofer. The 10 inch subwoofer sells over seas. And think the sonos gen3 subwoofer is better than the samsung q990c 🤷♂️ The samsung q990c soundbar is louder than the rest of the speakers
I had both , first went for the jbl but sometimes lost rear speaker connection, so traded fir the q990c. The differents i noted was the bass. The jbl has a amazing low bass sound in the subwoofer. Thats the only thing i really noted.
Returned my jbl 1300 after a week. rear speakers were far too quiet, got the qr990c instead, I can assure you the qr990c is absolutely amazing, can’t find any fault with it.
Bass not strong enough and you can turn up the JBL but you can't make it as custom as the Sam. Sam just too weak in the bass department. JBL is stronger. You can't go wrong with either just your sound preferences.
I tested both & went with the JBL 1300x. The difference between the two are similar to the Sonos Arc vs Bose 900. I guess it's just a preference thing depending on what matters most to the individual but the JBL to me has a fuller surround sound as does the Bose 900, while the Sonos Arc & Samsung have more of a high fidelity surround sound...
I read on the internet many reviews saying the samsung 990 is way better. That the only two aspects the JBL is better are the bass and the truly wireless rear speakers, and those are the reasons I made my choice and decided to buy the JBL 1300, and so far am very pleased with it.
Today i listened Jbl 1300. Mind blown!!!! I think if you love the warmth of jbl sound signature. Then go for it. It is bit expensive though. Rock music - like sultan of swing, has a warmth of studio sound which is always likeable IMHO🙏
Sir we are getting 9.1 at affordable price in offer. However 1300 is still very costly . Can u help advise is it still good option to buy 9.1? Is it future ready?
The 12 inches Bass on the JBL vs the 8 inches one on the samsunsg makes the hoooole difference to me. With the JBL bass, you really feel like you are at the cinema
The Samsung does not support Alexa multi room, meaning you cannot connect the Q990c to a multi room group within the Alexa environment. This video comments say it can. It cannot.
@pesokpesok Thank you for your comment. Both soundbars have a display on the main unit, where information is displayed. And regarding the size of the subwoofer, the JBL Bar 1300 has a 10-inch subwoofer, and the 1300x has a 12-inch subwoofer.

@DK-nc5ud Hi and welcome! The rear speaker connects wirelessly to the subwoofer, but needs to be plugged in to an electrical outlet in order to work...that's what I'm saying :). Compared to JBL's surround speakers, that are truly wireless.
Hi @kociamorda8609! The sound test is not relevant in the video, because you will hear the sound in your speakers, which will not reproduce the actual sound of the soundbar. Before buying, do a test in the store so that you know what to expect when you make the purchase decision. Greetings!
Hi @MrPesos08! As can be found on the samsung[dot]com website, for the Q990C soundbar, they say this: "Feel sound all around with 11 front-facing speakers, 1 subwoofer and 4 up-firing channels for a true Dolby Atmos sound experience." Thanks for your comment!

@JayPatrol, the JBL Bar 1300X has a 12 inch sub, while the JBL Bar 1300 has a 10 inch sub. And you are right, the Jbl Bar 1300 is not available in US.
Hi
I have a question
If i use the Samsung without the 2 speakers (just bar and sub), is that still better than the JBL?

The JBL BAR 1300 rear speakers well calibrated? They have a volume adjustment on the control and can be quite loud!
