- Driving the Klausen Pass in Switzerland, from Bürglen to Linthal. This pass is awesome!
The pass is not as well known as the Furka or Stelvio Pass, and thus not so busy. The road is in good shape, it leads through many characteristic towns, and brings great views.

Oh how I remember this drive and the Susten Pass....talk about white knuckle driving. I'd given the map to my daughter and said get us from Appenzell to Interlaken. I kept thinking, we can't get much higher but of course we did. When we finally descended, I said thank God that's over. Then she told me we were heading for the Susten Pass and now nighttime was setting in. My ears were killing me, my legs were hurting, my head felt like it was going to explode and the signs on the side of the road of smashed up cars were terrifying! At one point we stopped near the top and filled our water bottles with icy cold water that tasted better than any water I've ever tasted. We also found a little log house/campground/pizza/bar (?) and had one of the best pizzas ever! It was a driving error that turned into one of our most memorable experiences of our lives.

Letzte Woche fuhr ich mit einer Reisegruppe über den Klausenpass. Es regnete in Strömen. Der Himmel hatte dicke graue Wolken. Die kleinen Bergbäche wurden zu reissenden Wasserfällen.
Gesehen haben wir nicht viel. Deshalb konnte ich diesen Film geniessen.

What a beautiful country. I absolutely love this kind of scenery. Maybe because I grew up in this city and all I saw are tall building, cars, smokey streets, and worst of all, people. When I retire, I will make sure I retire in places like this.

Klausenpass is a driver's paradise and you can see why. It is so beautiful.
Can feel the fun. I always rent a Tesla for our vacation in Austria. Last time it was a M3 Performance.😊😊
From what remember of Switzerland, there are SO MANY scenes like this that it's impossible to pick favorites!

Omg! I do not know where to start! I have a fear of heights which I am trying to get over. My first view I was gasping the whole time but it started getting better because the view is absolutely phenomenal! Thank you for keeping it "natural" free of music and not altering it in any way! Cheers!

Do you have a fear of heights or falling? Fear of falling is actually a survival instinct a majority of us have though a fear of heights is a full blown phobia
I have driven this pass a number of times, but sadly not been able to in 2020.
Hopefully I'll be able to go for another around Europe road trip this autumn, but hard to say with the times we are living in.
I have driven most of the passes in Switzerland, and my favourite for pure driving is probably the San Bernadino pass.
For views, it's a tie between Bernina pass and St Gotthard pass!

@@odiatoka Roadtrip would be the safest on Trollstigen and Geiranger since they are very popular during summer.Oh yeah there is a hiking path up Trollstigen bring raincoats:)

Used a GoPro Hero 8, mounted with the GoPro suction cup on the car. Would love to visit the Rockies one day!
@@RoadtripThroughTheLens Thx, I thought it probably was. Widens the field of view, but the barrel distortion was too unsettling for wife. If you think of coming to Canada let me know, there are some phenomenal roads with incredible views and almost no cars. Calgary to the west coast is stunning, with several ways to drive there.
