  • I am at Perth Airport in Australia.
The Plane is actually operated by Qantaslink which services the regional areas of the state of Western Australia. eg Kalgoorlie, Broome, Karratha, Geraldton and Port Hedland. It is owned by Qantas though, just a different business unit within the airline. This Qantaslink Plane is a Fokker 100.
The wind was blowing from left to right with respect to the camera, but as I am facing East the wind was actually from a northerly direction. So the planes were taking off and landing into the wind, and mostly using this runway number 3 on that day, Monday 24th July 2023.
It was interesting how the Air Traffic Controllers allowed this Qantaslink Plane to squeeze in its takeoff between two landing planes on the same runway number 3, at Perth Airport Australia. We were all thinking that there was not enough time for this to happen, but it turns out there was. Perhaps Air Traffic Controllers told the second landing Plane to slow down on its approach, to provide more time? Or for this Qantaslink Plane to not stuff around, and to ensure it takes off quickly?
