Can anyone tell me if the scenic rafting part of the Snake river is safe to float in a white water kayak? I am not 100% on rolling my boat. More like 50%. I dont flip enough to really practice my roll. I have paddled class III and swam in rapids. Being from the Mid West im wishing I had a paddling partner to float with me.
Generally that portion of the Snake River is fairly tame. That's why they do the floats there as opposed to white water rafting. Based on weather conditions, storms and river flow, I would check with the local Wyoming parks and wildlife or game wardens so you don't get caught sideways. Or in this case, roll your kayak.
