Metallic paint looks cheap? No, Marvel Legends' marbled "metallic" plastic looks cheap. Their Iron Man figures never look like they are covered by metal. ZD Toys and Threezero with metallic paint look like real metal robot parts.
I like the figure but for the money where the hell are the flame effects? They were even so lazy as to recycle the hair down head from the previous Jean grey release.. she only gets 2 unique heads. This sold on the x-men name alone and I hope it’s a not a sign of things to come from Mafex.
Do you know if the Marvel Legends small Phoenix Firebird accessory would also fit on the wrist of the MAFEX Phoenix figure?
I think they will same scale but not 100% sure
Oh I like this one. I don't normally like metallic paint on figures. Sometimes I think it makes it looks cheap but on camera it looked good
It looks great in person

Consider me sold I plan on getting both versions of Jean … it’s all your fault 😂
Nice …lol
Sucks that it didn’t come with any Phoenix effects. Definitely will check out Plaza Japan.
Yeap would have gone from good to great
You should compare with the Marvel Legends Phoenix.
May have to do that
Good review
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

Great analysis dude and I agree I hope it’s not a new standard
Haven’t watched the video yet but I’m assuming it’s the lack of flame effects. Everyone has been saying that since the promo pics.
Maybe it is maybe it isn’t lol jk
