I thought I was losing my mind trying to remember where I heard Atmosphere for the first time, it turns out there were two soundtracks for Trainspotting and it was on the 2nd one. I have to give credit to the Rhino Records Left of the Dial compilation and the Trainspotting soundtracks, otherwise I wouldn’t have discovered Joy Division 👍
This isn't live! It's a studio outtake. The footage is from the Malcolm Whitehead movie. JD play a youth club in Bowden Vale, Altrincham. They never performed Atmosphere live!!!
Sorry bro but you did a mistake, this version of Atmosphere is from Live in Paradiso in Amsterdam. Joy Division had been playing Atmosphere live a lot of times, you can read about it in Hooky book for example.
