- Classic Miles shit...
This is off the fabulous interview by Bill Boggs. Look it up on google. Arguably he best Miles interview ever.
I just had to cut up that lil' excerpt and subtitle it for my french fellas.
"Too trumpety" is such a Miles thing to say and he'd be understood by his closest colleagues.
everybody's laughing but he's dead serious
@Fjord76 yeah, it's like he's, "why y'all laughin', i ain't said nothin funny" ahaha
Be was unbelievable 😂😂😂😂
Dead cool too! But man, dude had some issues to go with that monster-like natural talent. RIP MD.
WTF??? I thought we were going to hear Miles talk about trumpets that he liked.
yep just a lil snicker at the end.
@hahabass what you mean issues ?
MD preferred Martin trumpets.
Exactly. I think he played Martin Commitee all his life and spent fortunes later on jeweling them and anodizing them to different colors.
Also, y'all share the same middle name :-)
@@SlikkTim I'm blessed with his middle name and I am also a jazz trumpet player .Are you a musician my friend.I believe in my heart that I am the closest trumpeter to Miles alive right now .But that judgement would have to be made by someone else .Humility is the most Important thing to me .I also lived with Miles fav drummer Philly Joe Jones when I was younger , I was also blessed to study with Woody Shaw for a while . But I'm now a Christian and give all glory to God .May God bless you in all ways 🙏.
@@VoodooDewey69 Sure am. Just click on my name to get to my 'old' bass playin' channel. But doing many other things these days !
Also, PJJ is the shit. I love his recordings with Hank Mobley. Woody Shaw ain't no slouch either... would love to hear you play ! Stay blessed
@@SlikkTim That's ironic ,the first musician I met in Philly was Joe and the next day I met Hank Mobley.
