Oh my dear. I found a beautiful old piece of sheet music at the antique store the other week. I looked up the title and found this video. Your voice is breathtaking.
I was absolutely delighted to find this version of one of my favourite songs sung by someone from the College of which my grandfather was the first Warden. Wonderful and beautifully sing and played.
A Perfect Day by Carrie Jacobs-Bond When you come to the end of a perfect day, And you sit alone with your thought, While the chimes ring out with a carol gay For the joy that the day has brought, Do you think what the end of a perfect day Can mean to a tired heart, When the sun goes down with a flaming ray, And the dear friends have to part? Well, this is the end of a perfect day, Near the end of a journey, too; But it leaves a thought that is big and strong, With a wish that is kind and true. For mem’ry has painted this perfect day With colors that never fade, And we find at the end of a perfect day The soul of a friend we’ve made.
Truely a BEAUTIFUL Song !
My wife’s favourite song which she chose to be sung at her funeral service. I love her and miss her dearly! Always in my heart!

Wow thank you! Sheet music was THE thing that started me singing this repertoire! The only antiques a little girl could afford!

A Perfect Day
by Carrie Jacobs-Bond
When you come to the end of a perfect day,
And you sit alone with your thought,
While the chimes ring out with a carol gay
For the joy that the day has brought,
Do you think what the end of a perfect day
Can mean to a tired heart,
When the sun goes down with a flaming ray,
And the dear friends have to part?
Well, this is the end of a perfect day,
Near the end of a journey, too;
But it leaves a thought that is big and strong,
With a wish that is kind and true.
For mem’ry has painted this perfect day
With colors that never fade,
And we find at the end of a perfect day
The soul of a friend we’ve made.
The song is the soundtrack for Titanic Voyage. Its a rpg. Very nice played.
I want to learn how to play it
Enjoyed this very much - thank you...
Absolutely beautiful! One of Florence Harding’s favorites, which she played on the piano.
