For those who don't know grit (patthar) is essential component for poultry birds as they have different type of stomach, this grit helps to increase the time of food in stomach so that they can absorb more nutrients from feed. If it is not there they will not prepare the shell of egg and also unable to get proper nutrition.

Comparison with samosa is good but not appropriate. Samosas are much more in demand. Market for eggs is far smaller.
Moreover if your compare future and present prices, you must also compare past prices.
Samosas were once 50 paisa and eggs 80 paisa per piece. This was 40 years back.
Today samosa cost slightly more than eggs. This is all due the respective markets.
Comparison is not appropriate.
