That was hilarious! John was totally nerding out. He almost dropped a load when dude went to dime it! Lol Great to see the passion right there in full view.
Hi John, you come off as if you're just the average Joe on guitar. You seem to have no ego about your ability on guitar. I don't know if I've ever heard anyone who really realises just what an awesome guitar player you are. I have heard you do your slide thing , which is unbelievable. If I could only play half as well as you can, I'd be happy. You are one he'll of a guitar player. Thanks John for another awesome video. Michael Newell from Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
wow... such beauty... in both looks and sounds! Thanks for sharing these artifacts of music, I'll throw in a sub as appreciation for the wonderful work!
Hey Greg Voros, awesome video! thanks for training me in guitar set up last year at the Nazareth Guitar Institute! You have really increased my knowledge of guitar!! Have a great day!!!
Great guitar. I've seen Uncle Ted take down a few Rinos with his Byrds back in the early 1970's. You've got to crank it up or get the fuck out!!!! You need 3 twins set at 10 comprende Amigo!! Crank crank crank!! Gimme some Wango tango!!!!
Jimmy McCarty was a Byrdland player! Also John ya gotta let the big dogs run with a Byrdland or a hollow body dime the amp and let it howl! A lot of guys are afraid to play a hollow body thru a loud amp but if ya don't know what your doing it can impossible to play
Ohhhh.... you've got to stick it in the brown eye. I mean nice brown face!! Sorry, I think that's a Cheech& Chong song?? I would love to crank that Byrd into that amp. It looked like the Tolex was brand new!!
You can't say Birdland without saying Ted Nugent. They go hand in hand. Now that I've said that, guaranteed someone will be offended by my mention of Ted Nugent and spew off about how much they hate him,his politics and his hunting. Nobody cares so save it. You have a nice day, now.
I think one minute to describe the guitar conception would be enough .....and the model would have deserved a good player the following 8 minutes for the essential part meaning MUSIC . You can refer to ANTHONY WILSON for the Byrdland' s truth on the spot .
Can I say how much I hate you for getting to lay your hands on these guitars, and be able to show of your chops! Ugh! You always seem to be able to adapt a style that fits them, damn you. What I really want to know is are you plucking with your fingers or fingernails with the non pick fingers? The nails look too short, but you make the pick-non pick dynamic look effortless.
1stly, Matt.. though we've never met, I love you. Thanks for watching and the kind words. I'm using my fingertips. I tried to do the nail thing, polish, the whole bit, but kept breaking them. So, it's pick and whatever finger is handy. Play on, Amigo mio john
Actually, we have met. I was the guy who recognized you at the Minneapolis airport after Xmas and got a selfie of our shoes. Another coincidence because I started doing the finger picking thing heavily in the last couple of years and went through the litany of fake nails and found my fingertips to be the best choice too. Keep the reviews and run downs coming, it's become my best source to learn about guitarists that were unknown to me, and opens up a whole world of influences, which is so valuable to feed of of, since we're all plagiarizers at heart.
i wish i could get as excited about anything as john gets about everything
I love John's enthusiasm - a what great genuine guy! I was having the same reaction's while watching. What a stunning instrument.
I love this series. Tastful playing. Ear candy seasoned with brain candy..Thanks!
I think Premier Guitar should buy the Birdland for Bohlinger as a bonus, because he's an awesome host!!!
Good idea.
wow John you are quite fingerstyle jazz accomplished! Love your stuff..Rig Rundowns are awesome!
That was hilarious! John was totally nerding out. He almost dropped a load when dude went to dime it! Lol Great to see the passion right there in full view.
Great video, love this tone.
Beautiful, I enjoyed this!
I love the little point on the bottom of the neck! OMG the tone :D
More videos like this! Rock on John!

Damn it all. Sometimes Bohlinger is so good it just pisses me off. That turn around at 0:40 was the tastiest.

I wonder if the people John interviews have any clue that he's a better guitarist than them.
Very cool! May I ask, what kind of tremolo does that brownface Princeton use? Bias wiggle? Photocell?
What kinda plectrum do you use John? They look like some thick picks
I think that was a V pick.
Elijah Parrella looks like a V-pick screamer, I have a handful. Killer pick and indeed meaty
Premier Guitar's answer to Norman's Rare Guitar's "Guitar of the Day?" If so, I don't care. 😊

Ohhh yeaaaa. Now I remember. Airport, groggy, spaced out, conversation. Let's do it again some time. Play on, amigo.
Lovely! I am your 201st like! ;oP
