I don't think anyone saw Stevenage & Carlisle having as good of a season as what they did because of how poor they both finished the 21/22 campaign.
Actually Carlisle finished that season well, with a miraculous recovery.
Saw that pre season with stevenage and once they played the first 3/4 games could see the difference out on the pitch. The team had strong experienced characters all round. Defence was solid, midfield was good and front had options. Their skipper the centre back has scored 7 goals, their forward players scored 16/12/10/9, all of them chipped in and even when their big names like TVC,LJW,Luke Norris was on bench for 6/8 weeks they still produced results and remained very close to the top. A total team performance. Steve Evans delivers and his passion and aggression is a true testimony to that. Man got enough abuse up and down the country but he continued and at the end proved everyone that his method is checked and proven. Leyton Orient had a massive budget so does Northampton town, it was pretty clear that they invested with promotion in mind. Your team Bradford probably got the biggest budget and sadly missed out due to lack of scoring options away from Andy Cook. If Cook picked up an early injury like Elliott List of Stevenage and sat out the whole season then we all can agree that Bradford would have been lucky to remain within the top ten. I seriously hope that Andy Cook is able to play without all the pressure of the world on his shoulder and I would like to see others getting in the scoring sheet frequently. Team like yours belong to high on division one if not in Championship. Good luck for the coming season and on a separate note for the coming season keep an eye on MK Dons, they have signed Alex Gilby, the man who was the engine behind Stevenage’s good fortune, a class above classes👍

Great video Sam buddy...Just shows the supposed big name teams don't always do well in League 2 in their first season especially...If we recruit well in the off season now we are defo worth a Play Off place again bordering automatic...According to RS yesterday we have 2 maybe 3 signings almost confirmed already so will be interested to see if Agyei is one of them and maybe Rodrigues from Notts County the other?...those 2 names are being banded around very strongly with us so fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Up the feckin chickens 👍🏻⚽️🐔
