Rehearsal for our tribute to Steely Dan Friday October 8 at Kemp Auto Museum in Chesterfield. Proceeds benefit Friends of Kids with Cancer. www.groovethang.net for more info
I don't know who drove the Chrysler, but man, you boss cats and caterinas must've smacked the turbocharger outta that auto museum and sparkled the luxe paintwork. Nice.
I actually clicked on this link thinkin' about the Bob Dylan album with the same name. If I hadn't already been a SD fan, I probably were one right now. You guys sound great!
Wow!! Just stumbled onto this clip; I wish I had been just as clumsy 8 years ago!! I’m hoping that there are more clips of other Dan covers rehearsals. Great band(s)!
I know we’re VERY late haha but it is not too late to get this at least 100K views!! This is phenomenal and I’m sure y’all killed it on the night you performed! 👏🏻 thanks for blessing us with the Steely
If only the live performances were as good as some of the rehearsals or sound checks. I've seen bands utterly kill it when they're relaxed and just doin' their thing and completely blow it as soon as they realize somebody is lookin'... GREAT rendition GTSL.
Great playing and really nicely recorded and mixed. No actually fantastic on all counts. Captured the groove of the original - perhaps even bested it. Yeah, I said it……
Hi, very nice cover of an iconic and less known Dan track. Curious, like others, why did this take 11 years to get on the web? Does the group still exist? I'd pay to come hear/see you folks. Were there any overdubs or add-ons to get the tune sounding closer to the recording? Congrats, nice playing and nice tone that respects the recording.
Great Job!! The young lady was having a bit of trouble with intonation near the beginning of the tune, but recovered later. I suppose none of that makes too much difference 10 yrs. later.
Ten years down the road and I finally get the heads up on this video. Damn fine cover, folks. Hope it went over as good at the gig.
Don't have to tell you guys, but that was "perfection and grace!"
it's the smile on my face.
Totally superb. I thought I was listening to Donald for few minutes!
Very few cover bands would even attempt this, let alone pull it off so well. 👍👍👍👍👍
This is awesome! Great job. Lead singer is super! I miss music like Steely Dan.
Beautiful lovely music 🎸💃🎻🕺🎵🎶🎺🎤👍💃
Wow! This was super impressive. Great job.
One of the top 10 Steely Dan hits.
It shows up in my feed and I am awestruck. So Damn fine.
Impressive would be a giant understatement. Watching and hearing "Time out of Mind" by this band absolutely made for a great day!
And that makes our day. Thank you!!
Excellent.. one of my favorite Steely Dan-Donald Fagan songs, executed brilliantly.

11 years later and one of my socks is under the couch and the other is hanging from the curtain rod after being blown completely off.
Excellent! Very tight. A lot of cover bands miss the mark on this one.
I don't know who drove the Chrysler, but man, you boss cats and caterinas must've smacked the turbocharger outta that auto museum and sparkled the luxe paintwork. Nice.
I really appreciate good Fagen fans..I'm a drummist and I approve your groove train..

With music like this you could read the recipe for oatmeal cookies and it would sound amazing.
Great playing and really nicely recorded and mixed. No actually fantastic on all counts.
Captured the groove of the original - perhaps even bested it. Yeah, I said it……
I thought I was watching something from 1980 but I was confused because the singer wasn't Fagen.
Thanks Michael! I do my best to imitate the great one. 🙂

Great Job!! The young lady was having a bit of trouble with intonation near the beginning of the tune, but recovered later. I suppose none of that makes too much difference 10 yrs. later.
I didn't know thr was a female vocalist in this
Michael McDonald was on the album original.
@@LucilleBrawl17 Patti Austin, Valerie Simpson also
Wow! I thought it was Steely Dan until he started singing. I wish we had a band like that in our area!
2:43 Fingernail check. :D
More zip/enthusiasm in the vocals please (try that McDonald riff in the middle), otherwise all good
Could have fooled me. Perfectly done with respect.
I love songs about heroin. 🤪Pretty noice
Sounds great. The drummer needs those open to close high hat strikes for the chorus though. Maybe it just didn't come through in the recording.
That's live music for you. :)
