In terms of Frame generation shown in this video, Its not the perfect fix but it may help increase you FPS in cost of latency and some picture quality
Hey Sin. Thanks for the upload. Bit late to the party here. I run a 4080 laptop with similar settings to yours but I use DLSS in quality mode, and I’ve noticed a major improvement in-game all around. Stopped playing for about a month and came back to it after the update and noticed how much more crisper the graphics are and the colours on screen are cleaner and brighter. I’m running a 1440p monitor at 144hz and getting around 115fps constant which is more than enough frame rate for this dad gamer lol. Looking forward to getting stuck in again. All the best
X2 is mostly good if you can only have a stable 40. Above that, x3 is okay, but 60fps is needed to avoid high latency and artifacts, just like you said at 12:13. I have been using this program since GT 1030. Even now with 3070, it keeps my GPU usable on newer unoptimized games.
Ok, I'm running Win11, i7-12700 Intel processor, 64GB RAM, Nvidia 3060Ti. Bought the app, didn't watch the long setup video, just used the settings you showed here, but experimented with sliding the "performance" slider on or off. Can confirm, FPS doubled and the game not only looks buttery smooth but somehow less grainy. Not sure how THAT works but there it is. If I mess with Vsync or other settings the game looks even better visually but there is an unacceptable delay between input and in-game motion, so for example aiming the gun feels like the gun is dragging "behind" my input on where to go. The app totally does work, seems absolutely worth the coin although I haven't tested it for stability with a long gaming session yet. Thanks so much, if you're even in Houston Texas ping me and I'll buy the barbecue!
Guys just wait until the dev´s fixed their game really no need to waste money on an inferior software compared to nvidia or amd. and keep in mind you need at least 60 fps for frame generation to work as intended and even then you still will get a slight input delay.
As much as I agree, We don't know how long its going to take since they said AMD are not contacting them back. The software is actually really good and handy to have in your library for games which come out with no frame gen added but are FPS hogs ( Star Citizen for example )
As a developer I can say that it could take days or weeks to downgrade something like FSR to then use days or weeks to upgrade it back to the newest version. As it is a minor version change it would probably be easier to do so I guess they will have a fix relatively soon.
@l.3626 you're probably bottlenecked by your processor. The 3090 is not a 1080p card, and if you are trying to push 240+ fps, you need to lean on the processor. Up the resolution, lean on that 24gb of vram and increase your framerates.
Thanks, I have a AMD CPU and a Nvidia RTX 3060 on a gaming laptop. My frames went down into 40fps range on this update. I capped my FPS at 30 in GZW and followed your video setting in Lossless Scaling. The frames now show as 60 in the upper left. I'll give this a go and see how the game feels.
i have all kind of issues on 4090, sometimes dlss fg, reflex settings are grayed out or not present in settings overall, sometimes settings have no erffect on performance [checking with rtss overlay] and sometimes i have like 30% less fps just by restarting the game
use nivida studio drivers might help, and btw it helped me on bo6 crashing all the time with my 4090 its the same as game reeady but more stable reply for more questions
How does reticles look with this frame gen? As most games don't offer access to the overlay data, and reticles look pixelated or have a slight delay from where the reticle actually is on screen?
Tbh I have not tested too much with it for Gray Zone. I have used it for games which capped frames or games like star Citizen etc. it’s not bad and always improving. I just thought about it when seeing a lot of people on my stream having issues with performance since fsr frame gen was disabled, so thought I would give it a mention etc
i just bought this game this evening and it cant even launch properly. it shuts my pc down and/or restarts it before i can even get the game loaded....
@ I have a 4090, 191400kf, 1500w psu, nzxt liquid cooler, enough fans to cool my house. The pc is 2 months old. It runs every other game in the books flawlessly. Except for this one. Which have been numerous report about having the same issue. It’s not my pc. It’s a pre alpha game that isn’t optimized.
The game is for sure unoptimised, it’s an early access game but for your PC to restart or shutdown is normally a sign to check your pc. This is just my experience from building PCs, optimising PCs for work and friends. If you are sure it’s not, that’s awesome, I’m just putting my two cents on what that came instantly to thought when you said it’s shutting down or restarting.
@ for sure. I just have no idea why this is literally, the only game it happens on. Even the most demanding games run beautifully on my pc. This game, gets to the opening studio slideshow and then shuts my pc down. Can’t even make it to the menu. But if it’s happening to tons and tons of people, everyone’s pc is just bad or has something wrong with it? Even though everything else they play works absolutely fine? Sounds a bit weird
i was having bright screen flashing, all i did was turned Vsync on in the control pannel and it fixed it, also i have most of my settings high and epic some are on low and i get a consistant 140fps plus the only time it really dips is with a scope and ill loose 20 to 22 fps and going into citys i loose 15 is the worst i have seen but then it comes back up once things are renderd. the thing i dont like is the textures when you inspect stuff in your bag and the textures of my guy. also have noticed textures flickering in random areas. other than that its been ok for me. i have i9-10900K, 64gb trident ddr4, rtx 4070, 2tb samsung nvme m.2.... i also have some optimizations done to the game files so that helps with fps and hitching
funny thing... this actually runs better on my 2080 super than it does on my rtx 3070 (two different rigs, one running 1080p, the 3070 running 1440p, one with an i7 8700k and the 3070 rig running an i9 10900k) both with the same settings.. mind you its running like shit on both, but slightly more playable on the 2080 super rig - like mostly over 50fps(apart from the jarring framedrops for no reason)
disable Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling in Windows Settings, because it relocates some aspects of CPU calculation onto GPU and if your GPU already is fully utilized it can cause perfromance decerease. That feature is only required for RTX4xxx series to run farme-generation and on RTX3xxx can only be beneficial if you have some GPU headroom.
If it makes you feel better, the frame generation in game even as an amd user is garbage. THey should have focused on performance than introducing night ops...
I think theyre lying that they are making optimization fixes. I think theyre just waiting it out until their fanbase just buys 40 seires or higher Nvidia cards so they dont have to worry about it anymore.
I'm actually testing XeSS now as it was the last one to test in terms of quality vs performance and I got to say I am quite impressed. I have today switched to using the ultra quality preset which gives me about 10 to 15FPS extra over DLAA and basically looks the same
Then leave a dislike lol, Im just putting out something which was unscripted to help the people having issues. Sorry next time I just won't bother helping by giving a suggestion lol.
