    6:00 Clearly that should be a semicolon; not a period; it is not periods that are underused present-day, but semicolons.

      i believe he wants people to use more periods and not make clunky, overly long sentences which are cumbersome to read.
      many times we get the urge to just keep on using commas and keep on going.
