I think the scene where Saki arrives to the hotel and Kuro waits until Iwanaga puts herself together before opening the door is really cute, idk. To me, it kinda shows how comfortable they've become around each other where Kuro is the only one to see her lounge without her glass eye and prosthetic.

@@miero4907 I agree, their relationship in the anime is a bit sweeter than their relationship in the manga, like in the beginning of the anime where Iwanaga meets with the spirit of the lake and Kuro follows her in the anime, he didn't in the manga. I also wish Kuro would stop denying Iwanaga, but I think that may just be the dynamic of their relationship. It's a lot of push and pull, Kuro doing the pushing and Iwanaga doing the pulling lol

Ohhhh I did not expect him to come to the mountains, in the manga he didn't went after her, rather he stayed home and enjoyed his miso soup while slightly feeling worried for iwanaga, and also in this part of the manga they were already a couple
in the manga, the reason why he didn’t go was to teach her a lesson about always going to dangerous places carelessly LOL but I think the mangaka wrote an extension to the anime-verse serpent story where they go camping afterwards & kuro learns she doesn’t have much friends. it was really cute until she tried to poison him 🤣🤣

We also get to see Iwanaga's high school clubmates and some stories of Iwanaga during highschool. Kuro and Iwanaga have been dating for I think about three and a half years. Crunchyroll has also said that Season 2 of In/Spectre is coming, so we have that to look forward to.

The guy isn’t really human, he’s kinda yokai but not really he’s a monster even to the monsters in the show. When his ex-girlfriend found out about his inhuman nature she was legit terrified and they broke up because of it. The guy himself is pretty uncomfortable with the nature of his existence, but the girl she someone who readily accepts his human and yokai half and helping her job as a mediator between the human world and yokai gives the guy a positive outlet for his yokai powers allowing him to accept a part of himself he hated. I find them really cute and this is probably the healthiest relationship he has ever been in because he’s a guy with a lot of baggage.

The Mountain Snake arc happened before the Steel Lady Nanase arc (in that arc, Iwanaga called Kurou "Kurou-san", while in the Steel Lady Nanase arc it's "Kurou-senpai") so at this point they haven't officially started dating yet. About Kurou's action, I'm pretty sure it was only teasing. Buying her high-class chocolates, giving headpats, showing up at the mountain,... That's uh, "actions speak louder than words" imo. Pretty sweet for me ngl.
