Mr Doyle has one hell of an imagination! I have worked as a ranger in Africa for many years and I have flown the Angolan coast line as a Heli pilot many times. I have never seen a foreigner surfing in a remote area, I have never seen prides of Lions roaming around near a shore line and I have never heard of anyone surviving a male Lion attack, let alone a pride of Lions. That guy should play the Lotto. Great show Hal, we love it!
Exactly what I thought.. UNTIL , I found multiple eyewitness evidence. So this is purportedly what happened (in brief) He goes surfing in '73 Land Rover. He gets attacked Goss back to the car and ties up his leg. He goes to a nearby creek and gets a drink and washes the leg. He's purportedly 'attacked' by a Lion there but with his long walking stick he'd found he fends it off enough to make it back to the 4wd. But now the rest of the pride has joined. They camp at his car waiting for him to come out until hes spotted by tourists and rescued by rangers / authorities.
Wow!!! John Doyle had to have had a gardian angel watching over him! You can’t make something like that up! The stories in this video had me on the edge of my seat!
I think he wasn't that smart. Drinking that dirty water when he already is not able to move in a proper way to get there🙄 And remember it was just a car drive of one hour.
@@Joanili80 He had a cut on his foot: it should have had that covered. Surfing by himself in such an isolated - and dangerous, in surf and on turf (as was so succinctly described). Still we all do risky things from time to time - or frequently - without they calamity that descended on John Doyle.
I can almost hear John Doyle screaming 'give me a break' and then the pride disappears 😂 respect! This story is a great example of what more can possibly can go wrong 😅
Did anyone else laugh when they read the title of this video? I'm just imagining some guy in a hot dog costume or something with all these animals trying to take a bite out of him.
@@SharksHappen All I ask Hal! You can make a decent buck on them as well. Not that is important to you but we are able to donate to your channel to make it bigger. Can talk about anything related so options are endless. Thanks!
Thoughts on Heather Boswell's shark, 300 miles into the ocean, it's likely that shark hasn't had a big mammal meal in a few days. Big mammals in the water is bound to ring the dinner bell for any larger predator in an area like that. Opportunistic feeding for sure. 0% mistaken identity.
I need to look into the covered attacks. It appears the casual attack by whites as that might be common when far from any shore. I will be looking to see how far from land those that get the light tug by huge sharks. Thinking attacks closer to land are more violent by proximity to safety
This is quite honestly one of the best UA-cam channels out here! I love coming back for your new videos in an era of Tik Tok garbage I’m so happy to see great content. Thanks for making these awesome videos!
Hey Hal! Love the content! Wanted to see if you heard about the two fatal shark attacks at S-turns, Maui. They were pretty close to one another and they never found the shark. My buddy was diving out there years later and was attacked by what he said was a 15-17ft tiger shark. Lived to tell the tail. Thank you for the work and spreading the info!
I love sharks Hal and your stories are great! I've read shark attack files by David Baldrich. Read it so long ago that it said there were only 250 species of sharks now it's way over 450 species. But your tales have so much detail and very interesting, so thanks! I really love the USS INDIANAPOLIS videos, never had that much info on that and you made me feel like I was there. You really have a gift and it's hard to stop watching! Keep it up, thanks!
Thanks Hal for the great content! I'm from Hollywood , Fla and have studied sharks my whole life. I don't wish harm on anybody ever, but love to hear about the terrifying nature of shark attacks. It makes my day whenever I see a new vid from you! Keep up the good work!🦈
Another informative and incredibly entertaining show, Hal! Thank you! Lucas Ransom is always listed up there in most "gruesome" attacks along with poor Nick Peterson (whose attack really was), Ben Linden, Omar Conger and the other ones you mentioned. After hearing you describe the attack it does make me wonder why.. I'm certainly in no way trying to belittle his (or any) attack as "not gruesome enough"... they are all terrifying to me and tragic for the victims' families.
Lucas Ransom had a very severe leg wound and a large chunk was taken out of this boggie board. I read one report that stated his leg was just about bitten off.
Because Lucas, by what i could find, would not make my top 10 violent attacks off that coast. So either collier is just saying it for the show or he didnt disclose the actual facts in his investigation when he did it. By the friend saying it took seconds it points to saying it for the show
@@SharksHappen I believe the attack on Lucas was somewhat similar to the attack on Lewis Boren. Both sharks bit through the victim and their surf boards. Lucas had a wound from his hip through the thigh and Lewis in his midsection. Just an incredible amount of bite force and once the shark shakes it's head results in catostrophic injuries.
@Sharks Happen I think the Luke Ransom attack was horrible but was just hit by a very large shark, Ralph Collier I feel did that for the show. There’s been other attacks that have been horrific like Ben Lindens attack. In no way trying to take away from Lucas’s attack, he was a very young man & my heart breaks for his mother.
When I was young we used to go to the beach on Fox Island in Puget Sound. That water was freezing but we still got in it. Have you ever heard of any shark attacks in that water?
Read more details on the Doyle attack. Seems he was partially into his vehicle when the pride got to him. Had wondered how he managed to escape that. Love the April 1st reference - hard to believe what he endured. Thanks for another great informative video.
Where? I only found some shark attack file that said he was halfway to his vehicle and then apparently the doctor confirmed he had shark bites and lacerations to his arms from lions. Lacerations to his arms, are you kidding me? A lion would have taken him down immediately and bit his neck and he would be dead if that really happened. I couldnt find any reliable source for this story.

Hey Hal. Have you checked out The Malibu Artist here on UA-cam? He has some great drone footage of great whites off California coast. That's all he does. Many occasions sharks are near surfers, paddle boarders, and some never saw the shark. Its cool stuff, check it out. 👍
Thanks Hal for yet another brilliant video xxxx that first story is absolutely bonkers! Hope u manage to sort the merch out......looking forward to seeing it ☺️☺️ much love from England ❤️😚😚
Hal, the attack on Norman near Alameda was probably a Seven Gill shark, which is the largest shark typically found in the Bay. Occasionally, a White shark may come into the bay looking for seals, but it's rare. No Tiger sharks in N. Cal.
Shark attack victim attacked by lions on the way to hospital??!! That is so crazy, and I thought I was unlucky...... If I was ever queueing at an airport departure gate to board a flight and I saw John Doyle in front of me - I'd definitely be rebooking my ticket.
The only place I’ve encountered sharks 🦈 is the Bahamas 🇧🇸. If the tide was higher than a foot I would not get in the water. Even on the sand flats where you could see for 50 yards in every direction. Watching the speed of the sharks in the water really showed me you’re never safe. They can be right on top of you before you can blink. Even the nurse and lemon sharks were exceptionally fast.
Another great episode, Hal. I think the whole show is growing, like you said, along with the community of all shark attack enthusiasts. I have always been a fan of critical thinking and I believe that the safest way to knowledge is to have an inquiring spirit, a researcher’s point of view -and a suspicious mind, most of the times. Also feeling very happy realizing that I was not a “weirdo”, looking for all those attack details, coroners’ reports or pictures from beaches in California, Australia or South Africa, where fatal attacks had taken place! Can’t say why the L. Ransom attack could be considered too violent, related to the cases that you mentioned. You’re probably right about Collier's statement, though. I always thought that what happened to Lewis Boren would be the most horrific of all attacks -if he was not surfing alone and if there were witnesses who had seen the shark. The huge bite (18 inch) right through the board, half of his chest missing… That’s what nightmares are made of. This shark must have been the largest ever recorded that had attacked and killed a human, I think I had read that someplace. The Monster of Cojimar was an iconic GW, too. Do you know of any recorded attacks in Cuba related to this particular shark? *Can we post pictures here, or just links? I got some very interesting (and very old..) shark photos from Greece…
@@SharksHappen I remember the attack on Lillenfeld, must be one or two years after Lloyd Skinner. They said that his brother was there and saw the whole thing… Family members watching something like that, cannot imagine how they’ re able to move on after such a horror. Reminds me of Shirley-Ann Durdin (with her husband present) and L. Costanzo (with his son on the boat), both getting eaten while their family members were watching and couldn’t do a thing…
I couldn't rest until I knew the fate of the poor dog in the Norman Peixotto attack. According to the Shark attacks of the twentieth century book, both Norman and his dog, aptly named Lucky, were seriously injured but survived

John Doyle was a very fortunate man. Great show. Have fun in Florida.
My thoughts exactly
Doyle must've been giving off some bad mojo to get the natural world to try to take him out so bad.
Mr Doyle sounds like a bad Apple. If both kings of Nature attacks him!
Exactly what I thought.. UNTIL , I found multiple eyewitness evidence.
So this is purportedly what happened (in brief)
He goes surfing in '73 Land Rover.
As usual, great research and great stories. Thanks for sharing.
I love your laugh!
Wow!!! John Doyle had to have had a gardian angel watching over him! You can’t make something like that up! The stories in this video had me on the edge of my seat!
Your the best Hal,love the show
Hey Hal! Another great show. Enjoy your time in Florida. We'll be waiting for the next video.
I loved your shows when you were in Florida. I loved the shows you did outside. Hope you do it again! Have a safe trip! 🖤🦈🖤
My man Hal back at it again with the quality content!
You posted this after 20 seconds of Hal posting the video…you didn’t even watch it
@@MeatzB No need to be snarky. He was simply greeting Hal coming out with a new video. Geez, dude, relax.
Your first !!!!!!!! Congratulations paul ! 👍
@@MeatzB He already knows it well be !
@@MeatzB every single one of Hal’s videos has quality content! It’s a known fact by everyone who’s watched any of his videos.
John Doyle must have been the baddest man on the planet.
Hal, that black and white footage of the GW was unbelievably cool. Dig the channel brother!
Sharks and lions? I wouldn't leave the house for a few months.
Lol
I just wish you did live streams, where we can ask questions and stuff. Idk if your able to but it would be 👍
🦈👍
Agreed 💯!!🦈
I will do a quick look into the process. I may add one maybe once a month or so
@@SharksHappen All I ask Hal!
Agreed, the water was clear as a bell that day. You could see her and the shark under the water so it stands to reason the Shark saw her clearly.
I need to look into the covered attacks. It appears the casual attack by whites as that might be common when far from any shore. I will be looking to see how far from land those that get the light tug by huge sharks. Thinking attacks closer to land are more violent by proximity to safety
@@SharksHappen you're doing research that no one else is doing. They won't acknowledge it but it's groundbreaking stuff!
I swear John Doyle’s mother’s maiden name must have been Murphy.
John Doyle, lmao. One of craziest stories for sure, trying to get a straight flush by getting attacked by all apex predators.
Keep it up, thanks!
you all great stories mate, so funny sometimes and well researched , thanks again Hal !
Hal. Was happy when you posted and I received notice!
Wow that story of John Doyle is a CRAZY one !! Lol ....talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time...three times in a row!!
Hal, you truly know and love sharks.
The way you are able to spout off names of past attacks.
Think of this guy whenever you think you're having a bad day.
Wow... John Doyle, guess he'd had better days! What an an amazing story for life, so glad he survived to tell his tale 🦈🦁😲
Thanks Hal for the great content! I'm from Hollywood , Fla and have studied sharks my whole life. I don't wish harm on anybody ever, but love to hear about the terrifying nature of shark attacks. It makes my day whenever I see a new vid from you! Keep up the good work!🦈
Honesty is the only key that opens the door of Truth. Stay true, no BS
Angelo, my cousin and I used to live near your I think at the Del Lago hotel (now condos). That part of the beach is definately sharky.
You like Tom Petty?
@@kylekullin2520 absolutely!
@@theresalynn970 Awesome 😎 My favorite album is Wildflowers!
Some of these attacks you listed were some horrific attacks.
Havent come across any yet. Will look into Washington for next show
i like your SANITY AND COMMON SENSE! Thats whats missing in 2022. COMMON SENSE! Thank You!
That poor guy in Angola ---- epitome of a bad day where he should have stayed in bed .
Enjoyed this episode thank you for your channel. Enjoy your time in Florida. Love and God bless.
Another great video, thank you Hal! Love your show!!
Good show. Love the part about the old newspaper. Lol they didn't take no prisoners back then.
I love this channel I watched every episode in like 2 days.
Hal, and people say lightening never strikes the same place twice.... That poor man in the last story of unprovoke attacks. Could u imagine and damn that man must be a hell of a fighter. What a champ!
Been enjoying the channel for a while now Hal! Really like the way you’re able to compare attacks you’re covering currently to ones you’ve covered in the past. As an aside, noticed you’ve been using HA for Hawaii, abbreviation is HI ! Keep up the great work man 🤙🏼
Today was a rough day or so I had thought. After watching this though, I'm pretty content. For one thing it was another awesome and wildly exciting video and two I'm safe from sharks AND lions! I'm looking forward to all your future videos Hal. Especially the one on murder by shark! Take care.
Thanks for story-time Hal! Not exactly bedtime stories, but I sure enjoy them when I can! I find sharks fascinating and these stories ate quite intriguing! Thank you for doing this! Must be rough to go hang in the keys. Speaking of the Keys, I swam with a Nurse Shark a ways off the coast of Key west while snorkeling on a sandbar. I didn’t bother looking t and it didn’t bother me!
I meant to say: I didn’t bother it, and it didn’t bother me. Don’t know how “looking” got in there.
Very cool brother. Hope you enjoy your trip. Thanks again for another amazing show. I can't imagine what it would be like to be the guy who got attacked by not only a shark but multiple lions. Holy crap what a story. 😳😬
Very good shows. Most enjoyable.
Im not sure that Doyle was telling the truth about the lion attack, nobody is escaping from a pride of lions with only a stick to defend himself
Could be. Problem is where it happened. Hard to tell what really happened but i would bet more than likely we ended up with a near end if not end of grape vineaccount
The John Doyle story is beyond belief! Incredible as usual. Like 🙂Horribly fun
JEEZ, that guy with the lions is having the worst day ever! Glad (and amazed) he survived.
Weirdly... this channel produces more belly laughs than even Babylon Bee (which is quite a feat).
IKR! 😂
Hey Hal. Have you checked out The Malibu Artist here on UA-cam? He has some great drone footage of great whites off California coast. That's all he does. Many occasions sharks are near surfers, paddle boarders, and some never saw the shark. Its cool stuff, check it out. 👍
Yes. I watch when it is sharks eating or interacting like his video of the Whites anf dolphins. Great footage
Thanks Hal for yet another brilliant video xxxx that first story is absolutely bonkers! Hope u manage to sort the merch out......looking forward to seeing it ☺️☺️ much love from England ❤️😚😚
Good thing he didn't run into a pack of hyenas too. Wow.
I kind of think that the Hyenas got lucky , he'd already beaten up a Great White Shark and a bunch of Lions. They didn't want that work !
I thought the same. Lions were bad enough, but he'd never made it back to the vehicle if he had run into a pack of Hyenas.
Started watching your videos after the latest attack in Egypt.. very interesting content.
Hal!! How are you doing?? Keep, keeping us informed!!!
Hal, the attack on Norman near Alameda was probably a Seven Gill shark, which is the largest shark typically found in the Bay. Occasionally, a White shark may come into the bay looking for seals, but it's rare. No Tiger sharks in N. Cal.
Is the camera out of focus or am I getting a bad stream?
Bad connection perhaps? All fine here on my end.hope it helps at all, good luck.

I've watched a couple of your shows and enjoyed them. I was wondering what is your background
Years ago, my cousins husband was bitten by sharks on two separate occasions and was also struck by lightening!!
Hail to Hal! The best youtuber out there,! Your laugh is infectious. Great shows. Enjoy Florida. Be safe.
Shark attack victim attacked by lions on the way to hospital??!! That is so crazy, and I thought I was unlucky...... If I was ever queueing at an airport departure gate to board a flight and I saw John Doyle in front of me - I'd definitely be rebooking my ticket.
Glad you are back🦈
Hey Hal, have a great time in Florida! But whatever you do . . .
*DON’T GO IN THAT WATER!!!!*
Take your time with the merchandise. I'm down to order one or two shirts when I'm back stateside.
Damn. Poor John Doyle. His guardian angel must've been like "A Shark attack & Lion attacks on the same day?" *Come on* 🤣
Be careful in Florida Hal, if you go in the water, remember, some of those sharks might have seen your show.
Again my friend, my sincere gratitude! Thank you. ❣️🦈❤️🦈
Talking about a double whammy getting attack by a sharks then lions
More crazy true stories from Hal. Thanks ☆
Lewis Boren definitely up there in most violent. Especially for a single bite, kind of like Lillenfeld in that respect
