HI!!! Yes, it is my understanding that the procedure is the same throughout Mexico. There may be slight variations but in general, it will be the same. Thanks for watching! How long have you lived in Quintana Roo?
The H+ info is very valuable. My parents are getting up there in age and have been spending time in Cabo in the winter for the past 20 years. I’m concerned as to what might happen if they have a heart attack or something. Have you considered doing a comparison of the different hospitals? That would be helpful. Also, how long did it take for the ambulance to arrive once finally called? Thanks again!
Those are great questions and your reasons for the questions are so understandable. I have never considered doing a hospital comparison video but I can tell you that we full-timers talk and I have heard some "not so great" stories about other hospitals. The care is not the issue. The stories I have heard are regarding how they try to gouge the gringos for more money and refuse to give back their passports and other items until they pay the exorbitant fees. St. Lukes is especially known for this...
Thank you for this important video. Glad she is ok. Is her insurance US or Mexican insurance? How would the situation be different with US only insurance? Or if the guy who hit her didn't have insurance?
Thanks for watching! She lives here full time and has Mexican insurance. If the guy who hit her did not have insurance, my understanding is that he would have been detained until he paid off all her medical bills. I will ask her if she thinks differently.
If someone is driving a car here with US insurance, I recommend contacting your US broker to confirm the coverage. I’m not sure……in my case, “his” MX insurance covered me (my insurance wasn’t involved-other than I submitted my bills to meet my deductible.

Hola! Less than 10 min ride to hospital (H+) after they had me inside.
Glad you are ok! When you called did they come right away? Do they have a fully equipped ambulance like US?
Once we had the number to the ambulance they came right away-just like US. ❤️🩹
