As a 1989 baby myself, if I could only pick one it would be that, but since I can’t I’m picking Speak Now, 1989, Reputation, Folkmore, Midnights and TTPD
You forgot to mention that she had the entire Top 10 for Midnights & and the entire Top 14 for The Tortured Poets Department all to herself on the Billboard Hot 100.
Debut - a teenage angst country girl era Fearless - diving into teenage situations head first fearless, hoping the best comes out Speak Now - speaking about how you truly feel as you start to approach adult hood as you move on from your childhood home Red - the heartbreak in autumn that leaves you broken and wanting to die 1989 - forgetting about that heartbreak and being reborn, full of situationships that are quick Reputation - an era revolving around not giving af about what others say about you as you start to fall in love again Lover - the era that celebrates all types of love Folklore/evermore - the era of storytelling Midnights - what keeps you up at night TTPD - you just got out of a long relationship because there was nothing there, only to find someone who does offer everything the last person didn't...then they ghost you making you feel lost and grey.
I'm not a big fan of TS' music. She is very talented, pretty, has a great voice, great fashion, and her videos are creative, colorful, and dramatic. But, I do like a handful of her songs spread across most of her recording career. I have to give her props for reclaiming her music and speaking out for justice for others and herself in a male dominated world and industry. It's wonderful that she has had such great success.
Then why are you here? Clickbait much? If I had a dollar for every “I’m not a fan of a Taylor Swift” comment in a Taylor Swift video on UA-cam, I could afford to buy UA-cam and ban users for stuff like this. I’m so tired of it.
@@johnsonken96 aww little baby tired? Rock a bye baby. When the branch breaks the baby falls, lol. "I'm not a fan of Taylor Swift" Where do you see those words. Oh, you don't. Why are you here? Click bait much? lol
As of 2024, Taylor Swift now has 11 albums!! Not including her re-recorded ones. If she can write 2 more, she will reach her lucky number 13 in terms of albums. I'm actually rooting for that.
@@HungerGamesLover-jl2ylAnd each song is a number and based after her previous albums. Like from Sleeping At Last! First song is titled: 1 and a country song- and you know what I mean.
The Fearless Era is my favorite. Listening to most of the songs on that Album gives me a lot of nostalgia, the title track (Fearless) is my most listened to song from the album along with Love Story, You Belong with Me, and Fifteen.
My favorite album of hers (so far) is reputation. I love it because it’s an album that’s about her comeback from when the media that called her a snake and it’s became a fan fav. She came back strong and that album has a vibe that no other album has and that’s why I love it so much. It’s unique. Fact, all her albums are unique in their own way. There’s just something about rep that’s special. (It also has so many fan favorites in it). People weren’t ready for rep Taylor in 2017. Now, a few of her newer songs have the vibe of rep and that album influenced some of her newer music with some tracks on midnights and ttpd that are sort of like rep. It’s like it influenced her newer music. 🖤🖤🖤
Not a die hard fan of TS but I truly appreciate the diversity and flexibility of her genre. Through her songs, I felt in love, loved, feeling the cold breeze of Switzerland.
I am so happy for Taylor that she is taking back her music and continues to be the talented, energetic, beautiful artist we know she is 🥰 The radio station I listen to here in Montréal has replaced all their Taylor Swift tracks for Taylor's version and refuses to play any of the originals that were stolen from her. I sincerely hope other radio stations do the same 💜💜💜
I was introduced to Taylor with Fearless and Speak Now, fell in love with her music at Red, and became a full swiftie because of Reputation. Edit: Folklore and Evermore all day 🤍🤎
I'm almost exactly one album behind haha. She has been on Dutch radio since Red (I do remember watching the Love Story video on UA-cam when it came out tho), fan since 1989 and a full swiftie since folklore
It is SO interesting to listen again to folklore and evermore after TTPD. It changes everything - but apart from the lyrics, the sonical journey is also absolutely breathtaking. Love these three to death, and add midnights in there, too!
This video was so well done. Thank you for giving us that are “newer” fans of Taylor a quick run through of her career so far. Now excuse me while I get caught up listening to some of her albums I’ve missed!
I’m a Swiftie since October 2023 I’ve heard a couple of her songs before but then The Eras Tour movie came out and I truly discovered Taylor through that. Folklore and Evermore are my favorite albums followed by Reputation. I’ve also love The Tortured Poets Department very much. And so far, I’ve fully listened to the Folklore, Evermore and TTPD albums. 1989, Red, Reputation and Lover the holy quartet or known as the iconic albums quarter from the 2010s era (2012-2019) that we grew up with all of Taylor's Swift masterpiece jams of great hits the most❤
The Fearless Era will always be my favourite 🩷🩷 because it’s the album that made me hooked on her in the first place and the one album I memorise the lyrics for all the songs 😊 plus every song is a masterpiece ♥️
1989 & Reputation got me through my tough high school years Folklore, Evermore & Red TV got me through the heartbreaks and the dramatic times during the COVID-19 era Last, but not least, TTPD has been getting me through my first real breakup and is helping me cope with unrequited love (Thank you, Taylor!!!)
"You Belong With Me" started my Swiftie phase. 1989 was peak. At the time, I didn't have any interest in Reputation (it sounds criminal that I'm tying that), the titular song of Lover did the same as Rep. folklore and evermore... I only had one song from both. Midnights reignited the Swiftie phase and thanks to the Eras Tour for bringing back my phase. Today, I have all 11 albums (not including the stolen versions of Fearless, Speak Now, Red, and 1989). And us Swifites are waiting for Rep TV and Debut TV
I don't know for "era", but my favorite TS album is "Speak Now". We got it for our Swiftie daughter's 8th birthday, which we ended up celebrating in the emergency room because my husband almost died of a viral infection. We listened to that album every single night while he was away...and I never got sick of it. I'm STILL not sick of it. What's funny is that my favorite "From the Vault" track (excluding ATW10) is from "Speak Now TV" - "Timeless". However, as great a performer as she is, and as history-crushing her career is, very little is mentioned here about how much she truly cares for people. Not just fans, but people she doesn't know. Think of the food-pantry donations, the $1 "on principle" court case, etc. Add to that, my daughter (who, BTW, is now 21) wrote Taylor a "Happy Birthday" letter when she was 6, and Taylor wrote back! My daughter still treasures that letter. (For the record, her favorite era is TTPD.)
It would be interesting to see if Taylor Swift will release a Christmas album in December of any year she likes as well as a Greatest Hits album in 2026 to celebrate twenty years in the music business. I was hoping that in 2016 (before the whole brouhaha with Kim and Kanye) Taylor would release a Greatest Hits album titled "My Greatest Hits: a Decade of the Best."
My favorite era? Fearless. It was the first TS album I bought, in 2009. When Fearless TV came out, I bought it and found about a dozen songs I’d never heard before. Unbreakable is amazing. A cover song she made her own. So much so, she was given song credit for it. I’m almost twenty years older than Taylor. I was 39 when I became a fan. I’m jealous of all the young fans who will live their lives always knowing Taylor and her music. She’s amazing. God bless her and her family.
I think the songwriting refreshes her, I think she has a physical need for it to deal with her thoughts and emotions, to process her experiences. She cannot contain her river of creativity, just look at the enormous amount of vault tracks she has added to her re-recorded albums notwithstanding music she has written for other people/projects not featuring on her albums (eg. Beautiful Ghosts for Cats, the hunger games music, This is What you Came For). Her huge productivity reminds me of Prince, too much work to record herself but no way to stem the tide. What will be her most interesting Era I wonder? She writes so majestically about love in all its guises, I think her Mummy era will be her most powerful.
I didn't really like Taylor Swift back in the day, but I do remember losing the sliver of respect I had for Kim after that whole "snake" debarcle (which also irked me because I LOVE snakes as animals), and thought she was getting FAR too much hate online. Years later I am now a fan as I liked all ho recent work since about 2018-2019, and feel the same, but even more so!! ( I already had the lowest opinion of Kanye, but it went to fill on hate in recent years because, among other things, I am Jewish). Taylor is just getting better and better IMO and will continue to get better ❤
Red,1989, Reputation, Folklore, Midnights🎉 it’s hard to pick just one… TTPD has some great songs but some sound boring(it’s a great album, just not in my top 5. Honestly probably close to her debut, but it may grown on me.
Here are my rankings (they're all 10/10) 1. 1989 2. Speak Now 3. Red 4. Midnights 5. Folklore 6. Lover 7. Reputation 8. Fearless 9. Taylor Swift 10. The Tortured Poets Department 11. Evermore

I’m just can’t like I love Taylor so much tbh if I every got 22 hat I would probably actually make a river of tears and would keep the hat until I die 😢
I never used to like TS. I found her fans irritating, and didn't get the hype. I then watched a bit of the Eras tour on UA-cam out of curiosity, and I was blown away by it. I am now quite interested in Taylor's music. My fave album so far is Midnights.
1. She's not far from her country ways and sounds since she's currently rerecording EVERYTHING 2. You didn't mention Fearless going 10x's platinum 3. She's written every song she has except "untouchable". Co-writers existed of course. But she wrote everything 4. She disappeared for 2016 AND part of 2017. Didn't post a thing, no interviews or performances. Nothing. Don't downplay that 5. TTPD was released as an anthology. It was specifically called a DOUBLE ALBUM RELEASE.
I used to be one of those who thought her music was quite shallow and basic, because I only knew what was played on the radio. Then a friend (huuuuges Swiftie) of mine introduced me to this whole Reputation-Lore, starting with the Grammy incident and Taylor really earned my respect for that. I started to listen to her older albums and realized how GOOD her writing actually is. This year, TTPD was the first album I anticipated and REALLY listened to and now I'm pretty sure I'm slowly turning into a Swiftie myself and am proud of it. She really is an exceptional artist. Also: Songs like "The Man" and "You need to calm down"?? Enough said.
All of her music before 1989 (album) was my favourite, i still loved 1989 but her old stuff just had a certain magic, that i'd argue her new stuff doesn't
I love TS as she seems like a pretty normal person. She has had every opportunity to act like a spoiled rich girl and doesn't. She has some kind of work ethic, my goodness. I like her music and her live shows look pretty amazing. But I am mostly interested in her mysterious lyrics and I wish she would publish some poetry....and maybe do some poetry reading events.

Fearless - diving into teenage situations head first fearless, hoping the best comes out
Speak Now - speaking about how you truly feel as you start to approach adult hood as you move on from your childhood home
Red - the heartbreak in autumn that leaves you broken and wanting to die
1989 - forgetting about that heartbreak and being reborn, full of situationships that are quick
Reputation - an era revolving around not giving af about what others say about you as you start to fall in love again
Lover - the era that celebrates all types of love
Folklore/evermore - the era of storytelling
Midnights - what keeps you up at night
TTPD - you just got out of a long relationship because there was nothing there, only to find someone who does offer everything the last person didn't...then they ghost you making you feel lost and grey.

My undisputed favorite era was Reputation. Then came The Tortured Poets Department...
