    One of the most discouraging things for me is to see how "crappy" the OOC footage looks before it's slowed down and the magic sprinkled on. Seeing this and knowing what the end result can look like is definitely going to help me keep my confidence up on set!

      Was thinking exactly the same. It would seem I’m over thinking and it doesn’t need about 5 takes I’m currently doing now to get it near enough how I want it 🤣

    7:10 With car flicker I’ve found you gotta switch the camera to the European anti-flicker settings as it’s not on our US 120v 60hz so try out the 50hz deflicker. Annoying it changes your frame rate to the EU standard but I use this for the few interior screen on shots.

    personally, I'd decrease the shutter speed rather than increasing ISO, I don't want to mess with the colors. but my limit for shutter speed at 60 frames in 1/100 to avoid LED flickering, or will down to 30 fps, then limit to 1/50 and move super slow.

    Cool video, nice and clean shots!
    You can look into the "SMALLRIG Adjustable Handle Sling Handgrip for DJI RS 2 / RSC 2" this makes handling the gimbal a lot easier I noticed. You can get closer to the ground (briefcase mode) without losing your stand ability from the RS2 with the original handle. It also gives you the ability to use two hands on the gimbal and the option for more attachments.
    I'm just getting started with video stuff and I'm using my Z6 and the DJI RS2 (no 4k60😢 for me yet).
    Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences!

      i've been down this path before, what helped me decide to pay for subscription is this one question:
      how much do you charge for one hour's worth of work?
      now you take that amount and multiply it by the number of hours you take to look for music each time u have a project, then checking out exactly what the terms are for use cos each artist has different terms. Then ask yourself, is the amount of dollars you spend on searching for free music less, equal to or more than paying for subscription?

  • @TheBikeFather
    @TheBikeFather 2 роки тому

    great video. If the camera I use doesn't support 4k 60fps, what would you recommend? a) do you think its' good enough to try and record 4k 24fps/30fps OR b) shall I lower the resolution to 1080p, that will allow me to do 60 or even 120fps? However, the rest of my footage is 4k, so then I would need to some how upscale this to 4k.

    • @TheCarCreative
      @TheCarCreative  2 роки тому +1

      All great questions. My camera still only shoots 1080p 120fps. So yes! Lower res and upscale to a 4K timeline. Most people consume content on mobile, for the rare cases on big screens they might notice but it’ll still look great on average tv.
      If you can be steady, shoot in 4K 24, doesn’t hurt! Most editing styles lend itself to short cuts so focus on getting 3-6 seconds of a clean move with 24fps and you should be ok!

    Thanks for the great video.
    60fps setting for shooting car(not moving) like your video, is it ok to set shutter speed higher than 1/120(maybe like 1/200) in case the sun is bright. I know ND filter is necessary for filming moving object. But i wonder if it is ok to control light when you shoot a car not moving.

    Very nice video. Is it possible to make a video for us to explain to us how you make your plans, and how you do your video editing.
