Damn right! And what an opening that was indeed! With Manfred's great music, and the aerial shot of the Californian fields, with Allen and Paré, driving through, all the way!
A Perfect Track from the Philadelphia Experiment Movie on 1984 with Michael Pare (as David) and Nancy Allen (as Alison) played in the scene with the two mentioned above Actors inside the car travelling . Brilliant !!!
One of the greatest sport anthems ever written and performed. In my opinion, the greatest Athletics anthem of all time, especially because of the relevant lyrics. It's descriptive, setting a scene(s). It's advisory ("don't look back, you've been there...), motivational and inspiring! Brilliantly done to support the '84 Olympics in L.A. From South Africa, a 12yr old, I remember... , like it was yesterday!
@@nasah99 I've got large parts of his output 😉 Plains Music is a nice album. I know it's the one album Manfred is still happy with! Haven't listened in a long time, though. I'm currently revisiting Bootleg Archives Vol. 6-10. And thanks for subscribing!
Always Remeber some scene from "The Philadelphia Experiement" Movie :)

Forty years ago the world was a different place when this song was released. It helped to bring in the Los Angeles Olympics.

I think "Marathon" by Rush (even if it was not written for any specific event) is also no slouch :)

@@nasah99 Manfred is the Mann who makes the synth sing 😍
@@progmeup Indeed! Have you heard his album Plains Music? It's different but equally satisfying.
