this is how you watch a movie in 12 minutes if u dont wanna spend 2 hours of your time. if the movie is really good then watch it. but if u just wanna experience a movie in 10-15 minutes, recaps like this is the best way to do it.

One of these things is when his mom tells Lucy that he is always talking about her and the sweet things he says about her. I also liked the part in the book where he tells her he’s in love with her. He tells her that he’s always dreamed about going to her parents’ farm and he tells her he used to check her out during meetings, and that he is so lovesick he eats strawberries all the time. I think these were such important details that were omitted in the movie.
She thinks Josh is not marriage material but threw blind allegations just out of her suspicions? And then instantly turned 180 by the climax? I'd be embarassed af instead of warming up to him.
About 10 mins in, I paused to go watch the movie and I loved it. 10/10 I love cliché romantic movies and this was a really great one. Plus their chemistry is🔥

apart from being a good story, how many of you noticed how badly the character dan an introvert was abused, the kind of suffering he might have in the end for no crime at all. I found character Lucy very selfish short tempered and very insecure in her day to day life.

The guy was nice. Carrying trauma from his home and being introverted caused him to be the way he was. But the lady made so many impromptu shit decisions that I just don't see the couple together for long. Feelings are important but just basing your decisions on feelings is a bit weird.

Her parents grew strawberry and Ig her hometown was famous for it in general and since strawberry shortcake is a well known dessert and she’s short so he gave her that nickname Also you only give special people nicknames whether for positive or negative reasons and Shortcake is like a really sweet nickname to give to someone you’d consider a rival That’s just my take
He was never very nice, they were always competing, even petty games….like the starring game, etc. Josh kinda struggles socially and Lucy is always a people pleaser, happy, etc….very much opposites.
