HOLY CRAP!!!! THE MEMORIES!!!! I got this for Christmas in either 92 or 93. I was 10 or 11. Used to keep it in the box when it wasn’t set up and slid it under my bed. Man, that was so much fun! Thanks for uploading this!
My brother got this for Christmas back around '91 or '92...I remember this thing was a beast for us to assemble (I was 10 and he was 11 at the time), and once we got it set up we left assembled and it had a prominent place in our room. I remember the little 'leg' of the skull portion of the volcano that drapes over the track was particularly tricky to place correctly - if it or the track was slightly out of position the cars would snag it as they passed by. We had a lot of fun with this set, often using it to settle debates or bets "Let's settle this on the track..." and I don't remember what became of it, but I do remember we really only stopped playing it because the controllers failed, and being kids we had no idea how to repair or replace them.
I wanted this so bad for Christmas 1990 when I was four years old. I wouldn’t tell my parents what I wanted for Christmas because I told Santa Claus at the mall. However, when I told Santa, I whispered what I wanted so my parents couldn’t hear. I was having a blast opening all my gifts for Christmas but then I got to last gift and burst out in tears saying “Santa didn’t bring skull mountain!” ( what I thought the set was called.) It took my parents a long time to figure out what I had actually wanted and that it was actually called Canyon of Doom. My parents eventually bought it for me and I have so many fond memories of it. I still have it to this day.
Great to see the track reviews again Terry! I've missed them. Because of the Micro Scalextric Death Star Attack review, I found one for my son, which he loved. Thanks for doing these!
I found this set in one of my local Goodwill stores several years ago. Unfortunately, t was missing the two small track supports, but everything else was there. I'm still looking for the two small track supports before I attempt to assemble it.
A guy I work will just gave me the set to give to my son but I still haven't unboxed it hopefully all the parts are still in it I can see that thus is going to be a challenging project but looking forward to final build
Corkscrew looks interesting. Never seen anything like it. Overall great review but I can’t see a kid trying to put this together on Xmas and playing with it.
I just picked up tyco sky climber cliff hangers from goodwill and has everything but instructions from what I can tell, I just cant get it set up right so maybe piece or 2 isn't there?? Says from 1989 on box
Hi Terry, this is an interesting set. Great channel. I send a mail to your webshop "Verizon.net" and never recieved an answer. Maybe it ended up in the thrash so i send it again. Are you still in business?

Your cat was cracking me up , just come across this set and am considering buying it, thanks for the review.
Must of drove the parents nuts trying to put this together, but as a kid it must have been exciting. I would loved to play with it

I miss that track
Cat wants that mouse.
Hey Terry! Nice review as always! I think you have to modify the name a little to The Catyon Of Doom!!!
Great.... now I have to get a cat to help me play with my slot cars
Why do cats love slots cars so much? Mine pretends he part of the pit crew.
Cats look at slot cars like mice on wheels! 😹

I had it as a 10 year old and did just that. I have no recollection of how long it took to make, sadly.

It's in very nice condition, and got for $7 , tried to put a pic on here but not sure how lol
Cats make every video better.
Geez I actually had one.
ii still have mines from the age of 4
I bought racing cars and its plastic track are hard to assemble, where can I find the materials of the nineties ?
Any idea where one could get parts for these sets? Turns out my controllers need new plugs
Do you still have this set & can I buy it off of you?
