@perkinsengineering it really is. I remember going to as many rounds as I could back then, amaroo, oran park , eastern creek, Bathurst. I remember getting told off by Larry for taking pictures under the cars as they were coming out of the truck at Eastern Creek the first year Russell was full time and Russell having a brake explode coming into turn one in what I think was the 95 Bathurst car. Oran park and amaroo were always great for spectators because you could get right up to the cars.
Great to see the almost transparent rocker covers revealing just enough. Even better to see the legendary LP poking about with the overalls on again. I'll never get sick of that.

i cant get over the old legends and how much passion they still have for their sport all these years later. Larry's smile looks as though its the first Holden he's ever built and started.

I love it! This was the car that won Bathurst and started my journeys to Bathurst every year. Larrikin Larry is always smiling when it comes to firing up one of his cars, keep up the great work Perkins Engineering 👍

Great work guys, great to hear the old girl come to life again. I started with castrol in 94 and enjoyed the years we spent together , can’t wait to see it in Bathurst this year
I am really hoping Larry will drive it again, just for ole timers like me who love seeing 👀 the men who drove these cars doing it one more time. Looking forward to it . Fantastic efforts and great work 👍.
Your content and stories are never anything, but music to our ears. Thank you for another great video....Larry must be over the moon for all the work that you and your trusted partners have done to get it to this stage.
How sweet Larry. Work of art. I'm surprised how well the cooling system is working coz that was a decent fair dink run and I couldn't see any fans sending air through the radiator & Hey Larry you need to replace the engine coolant temperature gauge doesn't seem to be working. Well if the coolent system was under high pressure then a boiling point would hold at higher temperatures
As a self confessed greenie, I want so many people on public transport and in EV's. Just so Petrol will be around longer for cars like this, and my RX8. Just think of how many more awesome V8's we could have if all the Corolla's were EV's with 200kms of range?
Awesome! Very rewarding after such a long process of getting the 93 car absolutely spot on. Well done all involved and great to see LP doing what he does best.
I dont remember those rocker covers on this car when James owned it. Fairly certain that Perkins fitted the Chev. I can remember that with Larry squeezed under the bonnet at Mallala with a rocker issue
They would’ve been on it when they ran it in Holden configuration unless the customer/lease engine at the time was still fitted with the GM cast ones. The fiberglass rockers didn’t get past prototype stages in Chev configuration as they weren’t strong enough to hold the oil squirter rail and seal properly with oil.
Great to see the resto happening on this super important vehicle. Well done Jack - love it!! So good to see Larry doing the break in control of Revs - cant imagine how many he has done in his time - it brought a big grin to his face - fantastic!!
Haha yeah we had an issue with the throttle cable matching the PE part drawing but not quite working properly in the car. The actual pedal is just a GM road car one with some slight mods for throttle ratio
