Although I never really had close friends in Canada, I had quite a reputation in highschool, due to my tree climbing, throat singing, my YT channel, and generally being the mysterious foreigner. As a League 3 NORMIE, most girls had no interest in me whatsoever, but occasionally, there was that odd girl who was gravitating towards me and showing interest in me. Then COVID struck, when I was just about to finish grade 12. Everything closed down and I lived 2 years of brutal isolation. 2 years of college went by and I was still unable to see my classmates face to face normally.
I'm writing this because, if COLLEGE is OVER and you DON'T HAVE a Social Circle, it's pretty much over, unless you are at least League 1 (CHAD).

It’s genuinely over for me. I just turned 21 and have literally zero friends. No friends all though highschool. The only human interaction I get is meaningless conversations with 3 coworkers who are nothing but acquaintances. I have no way of meeting new people. There are very few women at work in the first place and very few of the men there would be compatible friends. It’s truly over

It's terribly over for me, since I don't have any friend, yet I'm speaking with some girl, but she lives far away from me and has other plans regarding her future. The question is: how to meet people nowadays? I find it hard to establish a deep connection with someone, perhaps due to having some degree of autism. well this was randomly in my recommend. im nowhere near an incel, being a woman and all lol, but what i can say is that i understand what a lot of you are talking about. im 18 now, and have been pushed out of my own social circle a few years back when my "friends" became pissed at me for being depressed when my dad died. ive been in and out of two colleges, because life is absolutely hell without any friends and awkward strangers. and i think its worth knowing that, surrounding yourself with people who are going through the same thing is both the best thing you can do and the worst thing. you're surrounded with people who understand you, but you're also trapped in an echo chamber, becoming so distant from any other viewpoint other than your own
as an outsider, yeah, life can be pretty shit when you don't have any friends or partners. but the best thing you can do is surround yourself with different types of sport, art, media, communities that will help you feel happy again whilst you wait for the chance to have a friend again. i just dropped out of college like today, it was just too much. and ive taken a moment to like, breathe and go to the park and just let myself be by myself for a while and relish in the nature around me. sometimes you need to be reminded that even if youre alone socially, there is a lot more that the world has to offer that can make you happy

people these days do have unbelievable standards - both men and women. we see pictures of really like stunning and gorgeous people a million times a day and it sets like a fantasy in people's minds of what they want, even when its mainly all smoke and mirrors. that makes finding love difficult, but it certainly does exist. i said in my original post that i don't have any standards outside of good hygiene, and i do mean that for the most part. ive always been drawn to exciting personalities, and although i definitely think i can find someone physically unattractive, i cannot think of any physical features that would necessarily turn me off of someone. one of my childhood crushes was mad eye moody from harry potter so that give you a good idea lol. but im not the only woman like that, a lot of women genuinely don't care much about what you look like as long as they like having fun with you. it gets better when you get older and mature a lot, because i think thats when people mature out of pure looks and more pure heart
