This set of videos is the BEST I have view!
You did a great job creating them, Thank You.
FYI: My son, Eagle Scout and now Scout Master, lived in Ladysmith for 4 years until he moved back to PA.

Great video. I watched a dozen videos on rail riding, but no one explained it better than you.

It’s not less friction that makes it faster, it’s spinning fewer wheels. It takes energy to spin the wheels. Lift one up, means one less wheel to spin. Friction is proportional to weight, reducing the surface area just puts more weight on less area, and friction remains the same.

You need to look into that cuz that's not at all what it is and yes it to reduce depression by lifting one-wheel fortunes two things rubbing

Not all scout classes have the same rules. My sons pack allows for axle modification.

Really great video!! Question…..How far into the body do you place your axle/nail…ie spacer guide to insure uniformity?? Thank you

I dont understand, can someone please help, i got a derby coming up soon, i bent my 2 back wells 2.5 degrees and then put them on but how is the wheel suppose to rub on nail head when nail is bent, its always going towards the car, the wheel has to go uphill on the nail to rub on nail head, mine seems to stay down by the car body amd rubing there

I think you bent it to close to the nail head. Next time, stick the nail through the wheel...where the nail comes out, mark it with a perm marker. Then bend it from that point. I put it in my drill chuck and spin it against a slow running dremmel tool. Then put the nail in my vice just under the dremmel cut line. Then take a flat head SD and gently tap the cut line a couple times until you have a bent axle.

Stop saying Scout Class rules are this or that, the official BSA rules are very basic. Each Pack and District may have their own rules that differ from the BSA rules so what may be legal for you could be illegal for me. If you don't know just ask!

All of these videos are made specifically for our Pack. So when we refer to "Scout class" we are talking our Packs specific rules...not general rules. :)
