- In this episode we investigate a mysterious mine tunnel discovered on the banks of a stream in Woodbury, Connecticut. Thorough research and investigation reveals this mine to date to the early 1700s. But did the miners find any ore? We excavate the tunnel in search of clues to find out!
Interesting video, thanks for posting. It's my understanding that early Michigan copper miners worked in teams of three. One miner held & turned the drill whilst the other 2 alternated striking the drill with 2-handed sledges. Otherwise the process was quite similar to that depicted here.
Wonderful!
