Without the Old Firm, the Scottish premiership is an embarrassment and unworthy of attention despite some sizeable clubs such as the Edinburgh boys, Aberdeen and Dundee United who aren't even in the premiership. I just wish that the gap between the Old Firm and the rest of the league on and even worse off the pitch wasn't ridiculously huge.

Scottish football will never grow when you have a stupid set up with 12 teams then a stupid split system, it's why it's one of the lowest ranked leagues in the world and known as a non competitive league as nobody outside the old firm has won it in 40yrs!!!!
The only way to grow Scottish football is to combine SPL and championship make it a 20 team league then do what every professional football league does play each team twice 1 home 1 away, with this set up it would open up more chances of European spots for Scottish teams, games like the old firm would be must see as it only be twice a season instead of this stupid amateur league where u play each other 5/6 times in league
@@PRCOM the possibility of playing the Old Firm 4 times per season (minimum) and get a rare full house is the reason why the league has 12 teams. What I don't understand is why Scotland has a second Cup competition which only allows Celtic and Rangers to win another countless amount of trophies, an irrelevant one btw as it rightly doesn't earn you a spot in Europe like the English and French league cups.

The coverage of the Scottish game is poor as it is, especially in comparison to how BT presented the product.
Secondly you have someone like Kris Boyd whose only input is to court controversy with farcical views. I understand we need representation on both sides of the Glasgow divide, but there are plenty of broadcasters of a Rangers persuasion out there that could add so much more than him. He is a real turn off.
I can’t say I’m a huge Chris Sutton fan but at least we get a professional in sight to the game and he champions Scottish football more than anyone. Also, when Celtic aren’t performing to their levels, like this season, he is the first one to fire both barrells and rightly so.
