    The cave at 21:10 is called Teton Jackson cave. Excavations there in 1941 were started because of the rich deposits discovered in Pictograph Caves, but only a relatively small handful of artifacts were found.

    Do you have a trespass permit ? Pryor gap rd is on reservation land. Nice but still not like doing it over a lifespan on foot 😘 Drone does it in one sweep but still, what a view to look at !

      No I don’t, never have had one, I have been going up there for 30 years. Yes they are beautiful and full of heritage and history!

      @@406adventures Unless you're native, you should get one out of respect. Thank you. Lots of people have been doing many things for 30 years but it doesn't make it right. All you have to do is go to Hardin.

      @@masonwelty8058 You have to go to Crow Agency. Depending on what purpose you are on the rez for. Don't know what the process looks like...I'm native.

    How far as the hike up tovthe vision quest top area?

    • @406adventures
      @406adventures  7 місяців тому

      Once all the snow clears you can drive up to the top in a 4wd vehicle and then it’s only a few hundred yards of a walk over to the edge. They are all along the cliff edge! The top is called dry head vista.

      @@406adventures inmyself would mind if it was a hike but glad to know for wife and kiddos sake 😂 thank you for reply man. My Dad always told us stories of the knee-eaters from the pryor ice caves growing up. I was born in Billings and family in Hamilton/Corvallis.
      I have lived in Az since 84 though..just hike hieroglyphic canyon in superstitions last Saturday on a rainy day (best time to do it).
      Have you ever heard the little people referred to as knee-eaters btw?

      @@palesolemn3140 you can always hike way off trail if you’d like also! You’re welcome, I have not heard of them called that. I may hit you up one of the times we come down that way to check your hikes out! Let me know if you need any other advice/suggestions as we aware up there a lot!

    Very disappointing video. It could have been interesting to learn more about the history of the area, but why you posted the video with such horrible audio (wind) is beyond me. You could have dubbed the narrative to make it worthwhile.

      I’m sorry that you were very disappointed, I didn’t have any other audio equipment with me and don’t really know how to dub over. I guess I will have to look into that. Thank you for your criticism, I will have to make a better video in a couple weeks when I go back up
