If someone want to do whatever he/she want to do in a work place its simple, you need to put your own money and open your own work or label and you can do whatever you want... if you use other money you have to do what is written in the contract
That’s what you think. B2B(business to business) deals you’re liable to another business, government contracts means you’re liable to the government, then there’s regular businesses who are accountable for customer satisfaction. You will never simply do what you want. I’ve been a business owner since my 20s and a real estate manager in my teens with my father, trust me I know…
In fact the federation said that the contract between a label and idols cannot be terminate only by making public that you (label or idol) unilaterally want to terminate it. The federation also stated that always it will be penalties paid by the idols if they want to go, especially after two years passed on a contract of 7 years, and that both the termination and the penalties are stated by the court. The federation said that if the label is providing good conditions for idols to make music/albums, and activities, that the idols cannot claim mistreatment and terminate their contract because they want to, unless something unappropriate is really happened. Of I am paragraphing, but the channel chose to present only the part with the recommendations from the federation. They practically told NJ idols, mind your business, your contracts are still valid. If you want to go, and you have only the reasons you told public twice, you will gonna pay penalties. Also your actions are affecting the entire kpop industry. Especially small agencies who debuted new groups, and because in the last 7 months the kmedia was busy with your (''other mother and her daughters'') scandal, all new groups didn't have the chance to be properly presented in entertainment media, as they deserved. That's means every time you're making noises to damage HYBE and its artists, you are affecting negatively the entire industry.
"That's means every time you're making noises to damage HYBE and its artists, you are affecting negatively the entire industry." - so shut up and be a good slave? Bow down to your master and suffer in silence? What a horrible and pathetic way of thinking! "The federation also stated...blah blah blah" ... yeah that's like the police investigating the police and decided there was no wrong-doing ... If you want to expose the horrible conditions that most idols are working under, you need TO MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!
@Mox2077 You are in a different movie. I'm not saying anything about other cases. Especially in this case, if the reasons are only what the ADOR's idols told to the public twice, they have no case. If the can prove mistreatment, they can go to the court and terminate easily and quietly their contracts. That's the part of the noisy thing. Also if someone don't want to be ''a slave'', then is better not to sign any contract. And by the way the part with ''if you want to expose horrible conditions that most idols are...'', it doesn't apply to ADOR's idols. They are paid with 5 million dollars/year, they live in a luxurious apartment, they have the best condition to work even in HYBE, so please think about this case, before you ignate yourself. Also the federation remarks were about this specific case. I feel for the idols and trainees who are facing bad conditions and difficult situations, but here is not the case.
@@Mox2077lol bow down to a company that funds you even if you complain and cry saying they're bullies? That case was dropped bc they're not employees and bc their claims aren't even considered bullying. Its disrespectful to idols who have been bullied by fans or the company. They live better than YOU girl, since day one after signing into hybe.🤣🤣 If anyone else had an issue, they'd be in a whole "me too" movement. But no, either other idols are smart enough to do it the right way and then get justice or they dont have any issues. Seems to be a NJ problem for now. I wish them and you luck lol bc the way NJ and you act like nothing else matters, is why they got into this mess. You should be asking why their "mom" is letting them destroy themselves when it was a MHJ/HYBE problem in the beginning. Always too caught up in the emotions to step back and look at what should be done if they wanted "justice" or "respect".
@@Mox2077 that means if you want do do whatever you want, you have to invest your money and open your label, because in every country in the world if you work for someone else you have to do what the rules or the contract have.
Let them leave, with a lawsuit judgement of paying the early withdrawal of the contract aka penalty fee, $ to pay back for all the luxurious dorms/ apartments, exclusive make-up and stylist rooms, and staff. Show hard evidence of breach of trust vs MHJ planning a coup against HYBE, meeting with investors, meeting with Heyin for hours with the lawyer before her assembly show, MHJ’s text messages admitting the orchestrated “press conferences” on UA-cam where the NJ members lied to the public that MHJ didn’t know about this, and on and on and on. Let them go but make them pay BIG for all the trouble the dragged so many “fellow” artists that helped them and the innocent groups.
That's what I'm feeling is happening anyway cuz after all this if they do return to a door I just don't think it's going to be the same after all the controversy.
@@KpopSTAN-f7uWhat are they defending themselves from?? Making sure that they do not get the ultra privilege they have already gotten?? NJ are young, so they may be making a mistake. Or not. They had the fortune and misfortune to have a strong-willed woman (and who likes that, right?) as a CEO, but that CEO's vision produced a unique sound in the k-pop landscape. The big corporations might win and NJ may never become huge again, but they are taking their chances and I hope it works out. HYBE/ADOR's amateurism and pettiness is toxic and definitely not a creative environment.

Which part shows them suffering? It shows how insufferable they are! Thanks to them, now the contracts of the future kpop idol would be MUCH stricter so that another NJ situation does not happen.
they have to pay 620 billion won so they can leave but nj saying they dont have to pay any thing , if you were hybe you would just let them go? the world doesnt revolve around them that when they want to leave they can, idk how much is their net worth but obviously they have to pay they contract ends in 2029 , 4 years later
They might as well, it's gonna be an unpleasant work environment if the girls get dragged back after saying they wanna go. On top of management trying to rebuild a relationship, they've gotta figure out how to face the public again, how to move forward with this group.... I'm sure they'll figure something out, but I think It'll be a bit before the group starts making money for the agency again (i.e new comeback or sponsors etc)
Just legal pay and leave We don't want to see NJ again, using hype to promote themselves as innocent when they're not. They're manipulating others for their own benefit, and their fake behavior can harm others and ruin other artists' reputations they are spoil child
Whether the entertainment federation is making a statement to benefit themselves, I still think they are also making it for NJ's benefit too. They've seen so many groups go down the route they're trying to end up on (not a good one) that they just know that the lesser evil would be to return to Ador. NJ would not be able to handle the aftermath. They got enough attention that NJ and Ador will be able to meet halfway since they have the power of the public atm. They need to abandon MHJ immediately and save themselves.
The NJ will make all contract in all company more strict specially in big Company, so the one who suffering the newer idol that will debut later. Good job NJ you make slave contract will more strict than before.
Hopefully this will be a wake up call to Nj's and they realise their snake Mama is actually causing them irreparable harm and using them as weapons and shields, instead of protecting and looking out for them as they foolishly believe!! They need to get back to work or cough up the 400 million penalty fee.
Well, it was bound to happen. I am not even surprised. Wonder if Ador will take legal action to end the contract as they have breached the contract and even without that with all the issue they have created and their reluctance to cooperate could very well be reason for a termination
even if they lose every thing they are not losing cause with all their assets they won't be able to cover the penalty clause which is estimated to be around 400 million USD then they would file for bankruptcy and hype would get jackshit nothing
So now idols can just leave their company imagine how investors and companies will react when starting a new group everyone will be sceptical to put money on them …idols are now a risky investment
It wouldn’t be a risky investment if investors were smart enough to do their research and observe companies on their training & management practices before investing in a group they obviously know nothing about. Don’t put it on the idols for wanting basic working rights. Blame it on the company for both failing their artist and failing to meet the investors expectations.
@@lilithyolanda9851 Um actually in NJ’s case, they did get basic human rights more so even it has been confirmed that they had special treatment and they still doing all this. I think many in this comment section do not understand why Entertainment Federation got involved. They are just being idiots claiming that Ent Federation is supporting company. I am so sick of this. Let me explain it in simple terms. There are a LOT of intricacies to this, I am gonna give just an overview for basic understanding!! When two parties enter a contract, it needs to be ended according to "contract terms". However it is possible to end contract *unilaterally* if there is a breach of contract from either party or there has been a case of misconduct. In such scenario, the party who has NOT breached the contract or the victim of misconduct can take the other party to court for termination of the contract by providing *hard and solid proof* of contract breach or mistreatment/misconduct. Now, if Ador has breached the contract and NJ has really been mistreated, then they can challenge Ador *legally* for contract termination WITHOUT PAY. They have to proof to court with SOLID PROOF that "Ador" breached contract not Hybe, as Ador is their label and they have contract with Ador!! However NJ went to presscon without bothering to inform their company or discussing the contract termination and just declared, they terminated the contract. THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS!! The Entertainment Federation HAD to get involved because if NJ and their delusional fans succeed in this coup, then in the future, companies would be hesitant to invest on idols and use their resource on them worrying about them pulling a NJ stunt. This was threatening the whole of Kpop Ent. Industry and an Idol-Label trust. Entertainment Federation will NEVER allow this coz that would destabilize the trust on which these contracts are made. It is NOT about NJ. Now NJ either had to fight Ador legally for contract termination and prove them guilty of contract breach to not pay or they will have to pay $440 mil for the losses incurred and the investment wasted on them by Ador and leave or quietly cooperate with the new Ador management and work with them.
@@67y3j3fv2wgYou do not need to study Law to understand simple matter of corporate employment contract. Anyone working or has worked in a corporate has an idea about it. When you sign an employment contract with corporate, you do not call lawyer and sit with them to discuss it!! You read the contract terms, discuss the terms you are not comfortable with or not understand with the company, and sign it. If any of those terms are not met or fulfilled by either party, it is breach of contract. Simple. I do not know Korean employment contracts, but I know how contracts work as I work in corporate. Thats why I clearly mentioned in my comment that there are a lot of intricacies in it and I am just giving an overview!!

How does any Federations survive? The company pay them! They are the federation of entertaiment companies, not federation of human right and so on. Got that?
The Hybe CEO must be stressed. His shareholders are unhappy with his management of this drama and whatever happens here sets a legal precedent. Furthermore, this Federation is begging NJ to go back to Adore. So if anyone has to beg someone else guess who has the upper hand?
The country's legal cultural and Entertainment system should ensure that they are made to pay the penalties even if they have to do so over several years. They can leave Ador as they want but should be bound by set rules.
I don't think they have money to pay for penalties that's why they are doing this circus. If they have they should've put their own agency so they can do whatever they like. I think Hybe has invested enough on Ador to create this group and then in a short term they're unsatisfied and sided on the scheme of their so-called mother who is obviously now is the cause of their downfall.
I think they should leave. They won’t be the same without all the creative directors fired. So even if they stayed I think they would lack for the rest of their careers with ador
It sounds like the Korean Management Federation (KMF) wants to keep the status quo, where agencies exploit the artists. If NewJeans wants to leave their agency because they don't want to work with the current management, then they should be allowed to. Regardless if they have to pay a penalty or not.
I feel their core fandom is still with them but I also feel that some of them are saying enough is enough as well and they're almost turning their fan base and if they do decide to come back maybe people are just walk away and say forget being in the fandom it is too much going on.
that's why you gotta protect your artist, it's push and pull you want them back then you push them. don't pick favorites among your artist, this happen when 2 adult involve by their own personal interest and problems.
After their god mother joke with that rich guy as investor they should start praying because their future is doomed anyway.Even if they return to Ador who will invest in them after that story?
if hybe can just go ahead and copy content without repercussion then why is this move any different? that was the main issue here in the first place. mhj complained about plagiarism then thats when hybe lost it. illit was definitely created to bury newjeans. they really thought mhj was dumb to see that lol
Minji said at the press conference “we know this is an unprecedented case” meaning they know how crazy this looks to everyone but they move forward anyway so they’ve made up their mind already
Why are y'all siding with shady companies who breach their own contract. That's why they are able to terminate their contracts coz the company violated their agreements. Isn't that hard to understand?
This is like when a girl wanted out of a toxic relationship and everyone on the boyfriend's side be like "You're a spoil brat. How dare you try to leave him." Kmf on the sideline. "Stop making us look bad in front of the world." 😂
man if they don't win the case on this, the termination fee could be like 440M... I've heard it's possible they do win, but doesn't that set a precedent where if idols can leave on dubious grounds, that investors will avoid pouring money into new groups as they had before this episode?
They won't win. For that they have to bring *solid and hard proof* about breach of contract from "Ador" not Hybe as their label is Ador and proof to court that contract was breached and they were mistreated. Only in that scenario, they can leave without paying. However, they do not have that so they wanted to pressure Ador into terminating the contract by going to press. Instead, Ador informed that they were not informed about the press and that they have unilaterally decided to end the contract without any discussion with them which is illegal. This was something going completely out of control with many delusional tokkis supporting NJ's coup to depart. However, if they succeed then the future kpop idols will all try to wriggled out of their contract without paying by pulling a NJ, leadjng to many medium and big company investing on these idols hesitant to EVER invest on any kpop idol again. The matter is no longer about NJ, it has become a matter about the whole Kpop entertainment industry, which is why Entertainment Federation got involved. Now, NJ can either return or cough up $440 mil penalty fee for contract ending and breaching it and leave.
Newjeans might have thought "oh we will just say bye bye to HYBE and ADOR along with their mama Min heejin". They will shocked after knowing that many of the lawyers saying their decision sucks and KMF, DISPATCH going against them.
So many shills for big corporations-what a toxic corporate culture-the sad part is most of these commenters think things should run this way. Obviously the contract system in korea favors corporations to an unhealthy degree. Koreans needs to really look in the mirror to see why people aren't wanting to have kids in this country anymore.
The kpop industry is toxic enough already even without this “contract drama”.. look at all the effed up entertainment companies in Korea..all of the people at the top always have something corrupt going on, especially hybe. It’s a good thing that NewJeans wants to leave, because they’re showing to other idols that it’s okay to stand up for themselves and to leave people who abuse them emotionally! The reason why newjeans wont return to ADOR is because HYBE literally fired all of their old staff that they trusted and replaced them with new staff that don’t really support them. Also, NewJeans has given Hybe the chance to make MHJ ceo again but HYBE chose to ignore their request because of stubbornness..HYBE, source music, and belift are literally the ones constantly trying to ruin NewJeans’ career and now they want them back?? 😂 It’s so obvious HYBE just wants to get their claws on NewJeans again for the sake of manipulating them and having control over the most famous 4th gen group.
I think Haerin is going to pull a Keena. If you look at the live stream and the press conference, she is very quiet and is keeping to herself the whole time until it’s her turn to read the script. It feels like the group and MHJ pressured her and dragged her into this mess. People are also pointing out that her parents are also quiet and aren’t showing that they are pro MHJ like the other parents.
I wonder if anti NJ fans would comment the same way here if it was their favourite idol or group that was in this situation? 🙇🏻♀️ In general the Korea Entertainment space needs to do a lot of work around protection of rights of an idol/ group including their mental and physical health. Their policies need to be improved immensely and to the benefit of both parties not just one. Hope this scenario helps them to reflect and make some relevant changes.
They won't return. It is definite. I am sure ador doesn't want them either. It is easier to train new talent with tighter contracts and cleaner image than putting energy into catering to these girls with added risk they may backstab at any disagreement and recreate a public spectacle. Everything is now just for legal or court angle.
idt even if they go back theyll be able to work peacfully under ador , and if they want to live they have to pay pnalty fees so wich one is better ? idk
The SK Entertainment Federation is afraid of artists following suits as what NJ had done by "terminating" their contract verbally infront of a press conference. I'm not surprised that some agencies may have sounded this out to the federation to put out a statement to discourage such practice.
Literally NJ are a group of just 5 over pampered brats and they need to be taught a lesson... got too much from Ador and parent company Hybe... Moreover they are not even thankful for the chance they got to showcase their talent... oops correction... talent I guess cannot be in question as they themselves as artists want to depend on MHJ and the music director that instead of worrying about their carrier and their bunnies they are more keen fighting for MHJ being reinstated as CEO of Ador which is truly the dumbest thing to do and they cannot even see how well she is manipulating and using them for her own benefits... they themselves have no faith in themselves... so done with them... in India there were a few who followed them but now I see them all unfollowing them and some kids I know have all after knowing their details have shifted towards other k-pop artists.
Grown ass adults are so confused and brainwashed on the details of this issue how can kids even know wtf is going on and then on top of that decide they don't like NJ anymore? Your comment does not sound credible.
Is the entertainment industry promoting a better society? We see in the US that entertainment industry often leads to incredible abuse of young people. A society like Korea that seeks to remain Korean, free, and independent needs to think carefully about this. Should these contracts even be allowed? Who stands on the side of the artists? Who stands on the side of the public?
Pretty obvious. This federation don't want artists to have power to decide their own fate. This will become a precedent and lose their control, dominance and manipulations over artists.
That may be part of it but the truth is, they HAVE to uphold the integrity of contracts as legally binding. If they don't, then what's the point of signing a contract in the first place if one party can just walk away scott free with no penalty? It's hardly fair to the person/entity that invested so much time, money and resources into you.
No, NewJeans do not have to return back to their abusers, point blank, full stop. And entertainment industry and the companies need to learn how to treat their artists with fairness, respect, equality, love and support. They are way to unique and talented and will be better with the new company on their own. It is time for the artists to stand up for themselves, take control of their future and do not be used, abused and looked upon hust like a cash cows. Let entertainment industry and companies learn their lessons.
The Federation got paid by Hybe to say this. There are far worse things that happened in the entertainment industry than this. Yet this is the only time they publicly say anything? BS
Yeah sure new jeans go back so you can be abused by a crappy company since this federation don’t get affected by it! Stay strong new jeans! Fans support your decision! Stay away from evil HYBE
the hybe fans want them to leave, but yet hybe-ador want them back.. what the hell is going on here, can they just leave them be and be at peace with their current artist. fck the contract. make their artist for profits, while they dreaming to be a successful singer idol. what a insane adult world
Ahhhh, I don't think so. The EntFed statement sounds like it was dictated by the CEO's of the agencies, and didn't even make a nod towards the fact the girls may have legitimate greviences. What the agencies don't want is any ability of artists or trainees to protest, with teeth, any misbehavior by an agency before the contract is up, and seven years is a long time. We all know instances where a company strung along a group before they finally dropped them, and success on NJ's part would put an end to this and force agencies to be much more specific about future plans for a group, or if they're not going to do anything with them, cut them free and let them look for new representation. I'm also not sure the EntFed is crying Wolf when it's not. The whole Hybe mess is a cascading landslide of odd bits and pieces that grew bigger over time and is unlikely to be replicated any time soon. In short, someone finally called the agencies on their bullshit, and it's about time. There's nothing wrong with making the industry take a look at itself and tighten some places they've skated on because there was no way to force it. The Courts aren't going to let just any contract be voided, but I think NJ has at least a solid shot. They've shown the guts to take it, and if they're willing to do it, I'll Bunny up and back them...
Again their downfall because the courts will take their opinion seriously. This does not affect NJ and Adore but the whole industry. This will be a long protracted court case, and it will end up with them having to pay something, and every other agency would be wary about taking them on because of the fuss they have made. They had better hope that their ‘mother’ knows someone that will buy them out and give her enough money for them to start again under a new name and with new songs!
It's a double edge sword. They leave claiming the company didn't do its part, not wanting to pay penalties for breaking the contract. They don't want to work for Ador but be paid by them. Who in the industry will trust to sign them knowing they could pull the same stunt again? And that can affect future contracts of new idols, making them more imposing to avoid situations like that.
Let the brats leave. It's over for them anyway, but they should pay the penalty. Otherwise, everyone will think they can get away without paying the consequences for breaking a contract.
Interesting how different out of Korea and inside Korea views this. Inside korea people are 80% MHJs side. I doubt it will resolve quickly. That is why ADOR is stalling with their lawsuits. It will ruin them.
Why do l feel this whole drama will be settled in court ? They might lose everything
and it might be hard for them to appear in entertainment industry if it happen. well, they can, but maybe 10 or more years later
They will , from the look of it .
Of course they will. They think, being famous can solve all the problem in the world.
Lmao cause that’s the only way to settle it, it’s a contract, if you could just break it by saying so then there would be no need for it
Don't worry they will win everything on court.
If someone want to do whatever he/she want to do in a work place its simple, you need to put your own money and open your own work or label and you can do whatever you want... if you use other money you have to do what is written in the contract
That how money works. And most naive bunny still naive kid.

Even after a case misconduct, a contract is not automatically terminated
"That's means every time you're making noises to damage HYBE and its artists, you are affecting negatively the entire industry." - so shut up and be a good slave? Bow down to your master and suffer in silence? What a horrible and pathetic way of thinking!
"The federation also stated...blah blah blah" ... yeah that's like the police investigating the police and decided there was no wrong-doing ... If you want to expose the horrible conditions that most idols are working under, you need TO MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!
@Mox2077
You are in a different movie.

@@Mox2077 that means if you want do do whatever you want, you have to invest your money and open your label, because in every country in the world if you work for someone else you have to do what the rules or the contract have.

NJ are young, so they may be making a mistake. Or not. On top of management trying to rebuild a relationship, they've gotta figure out how to face the public again, how to move forward with this group.... I'm sure they'll figure something out, but I think It'll be a bit before the group starts making money for the agency again (i.e new comeback or sponsors etc)

Federation works on rules and regulations. Its not their personal benefit, its for the benefit of business environment.

Simple.

So even if they stayed I think they would lack for the rest of their careers with ador

as someone who stanned nj.. i just dont care anymore. they have more drama than the soap serie Bold and the Beautiful.
man if they don't win the case on this, the termination fee could be like 440M...
HYBE doesn't need NJ to come back. They will sue them in court and be done with it. No one wants them back.
Shouldn’t they be looking out for the idols interest more than the corporate agencies, to me that’s messed up
So many shills for big corporations-what a toxic corporate culture-the sad part is most of these commenters think things should run this way.

It's hardly fair to the person/entity that invested so much time, money and resources into you.
so they are just children who fled from their home without any legal termination absolutely hilarious
They're just mad because their mommy isn't there just causing drama
The Federation got paid by Hybe to say this. There are far worse things that happened in the entertainment industry than this. Yet this is the only time they publicly say anything? BS
Entertainment Federation President probably been bought by hybe lol
They are just so kids to think like they will get away from hybe and adore without paying penalties
Hybe is better without these brats
Reinstate MHJ and they may get come back to negotiations.
Yeah sure new jeans go back so you can be abused by a crappy company since this federation don’t get affected by it! Stay strong new jeans! Fans support your decision! Stay away from evil HYBE
the hybe fans want them to leave, but yet hybe-ador want them back.. what the hell is going on here, can they just leave them be and be at peace with their current artist. fck the contract. make their artist for profits, while they dreaming to be a successful singer idol. what a insane adult world
Sorry. They made their bed.
Who's ready for Season 2 in 2025? HAHAHA
Gosh this is a tiring k-drama 😂
Better they leave. They were too disrespectful n very arrogant
They are trying to pull off a heist
Exactly 💯
Please list the greviences...ooh with receipts...waiting..
Whoa!!!!
Min Heejin is out so those girls aren’t looking back they don’t play about her
Alooooot of negativity in this comment section...
haha so hybe and ador are slowly realizing that they got out smart MHJ and are now basically begging NJ to return lol
Your comment is so stupid, are you okay?
Is good?
A management federation is always gonna side with a company over artists so NewJeans will definitely not care about this statement
Sue them.. so they become another Lee Sang Min, pay the debts for the next 10 years...
Let the brats leave. It's over for them anyway, but they should pay the penalty. Otherwise, everyone will think they can get away without paying the consequences for breaking a contract.
NJ OUT!!
Interesting how different out of Korea and inside Korea views this. Inside korea people are 80% MHJs side. I doubt it will resolve quickly. That is why ADOR is stalling with their lawsuits. It will ruin them.
Hybe should sue them atp. Then if they Pay they'll leave & if they can't they'll end up behind the bars. Simple.
Martial law in your country but still Nj reportage. Ah ok that's like wagging the dog no. I have unsubscribed but you still pop up on my tl. 😞
