Your honesty is amazing and the fact that you’ve shared these sad and overwhelming years is appreciated. I’m pleased you are taking time off. Time to live. To grieve. To travel. To catch up on life outside work. I’m going to be mid flight from Australia to London when your last update goes live. You will sell out for which I’m delighted. Just want to say thank you Jude! I think I started watching your podcasts about 5-6 years ago. You were the first knitting podcast I had come across and I was instantly hooked. I have so enjoyed the weather updates, not my cat updates, watching your house Reno’s and just your general life chat. I have laughed and I have cried as you have shared your life with us. I wish for you on this next leg of your journey lots of love, laughter and happiness. I hope you can still check in with us from time to time but totally understand that might not fit in with this next era. Big hugs and love sent to you from all the way over here in NZ!

Dear dear Jude -- You've been keeping me company since -- could it be since 2016? When you were shoehorned into your parents' box room, filming on your phone. I've laughed, I've cried, I've gotten weather reports and knitting ideas and fantastic yarn. Thank you from my heart. I'm sending you best best wishes for this next part of your journey. I'll be thinking of you and sending you love on your adventure.

I can't even imagine up turning my life like that. You're so brave for that. My heart is breaking that I cannot afford to get any of your gorgeous yarn before you stop dying. Thank you, Jude, for the years of companionship and beautiful yarn. I have a small Stranded stash that I will covet. Whether you realize it or not, you have left a lasting impact on the fiber community but also to the community of compassionate humans who care about the well-being of others. For years you have shared openly about your own struggles and triumphs and there is no doubt that by doing so you have helped many people deal with their own challenges. I’m so sorry that you lost your parents so young and that they were also cheated out of more years. As you now will have more time to yourself, I hope that you will have the opportunity to process all of this and set up a life for yourself that you need now. If you haven’t listened to Anderson Cooper’s podcast about grief called All There Is, at some point it’s worth a listen. On that podcast, to the person, Anderson included, has said that after losing significant people in one’s life, your life takes a new path. My wish for you is that the path you take will bring you the peace, serenity, and comfort that you deserve. Take care, dear friend, and keep in touch when you can.
It's such good life advice to not make any irreversable decisions while in a heightened emotional state, whether due to grief or a breakup or whatever. I did the same thing after a big breakup, no decisions I couldn't easily undo, and I'm so glad of it.
You will be missed, but I wish you all the very best for a good rest, and with whatever you decide to do with your life. I wish you good luck with carrying on your journey along life's road. Take care & enjoy your journey xxx

Jude, you've achieved more than most do by running a successful business and you've certainly made your mark on the crafting universe. So you should never think you still need to do *something* with your life, you're just going to do *something* *else* . I haven't been able to put into words how much I have enjoyed watching your videos for the past few years! It makes perfect sense for you to put Stranded on "hiatus". You deserve every happiness Jude! The past two years have been excruciating for you and you're right, life is too damned short! I do hope you find a wonderful new place to live, grow a grand garden, have projects to work on both rehab and yarny!! I hope you'll share your new furbaby with us when the time comes! Now you'll be able to visit the places that you have wanted to see, sleep in late or stay up all night. Thank you for sharing your mum with us! I so loved watching you two interact with each other! I will treasure my skein of Stranded Elf with all of my heart! I wish for you a life of mostly happy memories, nothing regretted, wonderful memories and so much laughter your sides feel like they're going to split !!

I like the idea that you'll have a crocheted blanket as a memory of your business. I think you will appreciate that later on. Don't forget "Not My Cat"! And as for the knitted samples, use them for dish cloths and compost them when they get too gross...

Jude, I have been with you for a LONG time and have enjoyed every post. You have a personality that comes across so naturally and easily in your videos. Like many, I will miss you, but of course we all should grow and change in life. I never wanted to be a member of any 25-year club in my working life and have “worn many hats.” May you continue on your life journey soaking in all the love you have acquired from supporters thus far, and may that good karma follow you always. ❤️
Not only will your yarn be missed since you do a fabulous job with your dyeing .... I appreciate so much your stories and sense of humor. The cabin in the woods with chickens and a dog would be delightful. I have that here in the Adirondack Mountians of New York for six months of the year and it is my soul place of rest. No chickens though.... my neighbor does which is also great. Be happy Jude. Wishing you everything your heart desires.
I sure hope you keep podcasting about you life and whatever knitting or fiber arts you are doing. You have been a part of my life for at least 8 years so don’t go away now. Jude - When I first heard you talking about a box of christmas socks I decided I only needed Pink hand knit socks in my life - I smile every morning now when I dress. I do really hope you're able to get some chickens! As a new chickens mom I can say it's super gratifying. I don't know what breeds are available in Scotland, but if you're able to get Easter Eggers you totally should, they lay fun egg colors like green and brown and even blue :)
