I was in there 3 times in the 2000s great memories and made loads of friends it's wasn't has bad as people say gonna miss this building it was part of my life great vidio
I lived across the road from this hospital, it’s a great shame it closed , it’s a part of everyone’s life that lived in whitchurch, it’s sad to see it decaying
I live in the local area and can remember a time before the security was based on site and being able to go up the large water tower its a beautiful view can see across the Bristol channel on clear day, great video guys ❤
I used to sometimes deliver medical supplies to here when I worked for NHS procurement based in the Heath Hospital. I remember having to leave goods outside the wards as it was too dangerous to be on the high security ward’s
i work ther in 2003 ,for 6 monts they had a European volunteer service program , i was working in the coffee shop and helping people with computers the place was spooky iven when it was open :)
I visited this place as a child in the 70s a lot of my family have been in and out of that place so many times, paranoid schizophrenia, cruel places to be, est 🙁
Interesting to see how things changed since it was first built. Most of these old hospitals have been changed to residential flats and this will probably go this way or pulled down to build houses. so it is good to have your documentary to show these before this happens.
Very well done as always guys! What an amazing place though and actually very well designed and laid out. With all the covered walkways it looks like you could get from anywhere to anywhere else in the hospital without being exposed to the outside world and weather.Probably more to make it escape proof though? I was a patient at a Second World War built hospital some years ago and if they needed to get you from the ward to another building they'd put you on a fifty year old gurney and wheel you across the car park with a sort of mini canvas tent over you if it was raining.
Great video! What an underrated video and channel, well done.
This was really lovely mate. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Fantastic narration too, lovely videography and very informative ❤

Thanks for sharing your memories!
I vaguely remember at the age of ten dancing with a local Ballet school to entertain the patients in the late 1940's in the big ballroom.

How did you even get into this location? I’m local to here and would love to explore inside, respectfully
It must have been built around the same time as Severalls Hospital. The double hallways are identical. Good video ❤.
