William changed, so did mrs. Afton. And now, when William is different, she just acts the same - differently. It seems that they are like reflections of each other. Now, to Williams changed attitude. He doesn't remember his alive self, he doesn't remember his love for Mrs Afton. So he just "plays" along, he sees how she is used to him acting like. Idk, it's just as if new William is not in love with her, but her past self. OR, he remembers her only PAST self, maybe that's why.
