We travelled to Fraser Is 3 times in 1988 and 1989 just as a second ferry set up business at Inskip point. The ensuing war between the ferry owners ended in free travel to and from the island. The 3 trips to the island in those days cost nothing as each ferry owner tried to send the other out of business. The island was nowhere as busy as it is now, there was no booking campsites or camping fees and no fee to drive on the beach. Times change. Enjoy your travels.
You guys definitely, not only did Fraser Island justice but all the islands in this series. Your videos just keep getting better guys. Also those tent pegs be getting jealous of that winch 😅😅
I first camped near double island in the late 60’s when there was still sand mining. And Frazer in the early 70’s with my father & a couple of his mates & their sons. Camped at Indian Head around new year and cannot recall seeing another camp and only a couple of other 4wd. Showing my age. It spoilt now with the crowds. Keep up the great video
Moreton Island for isolation of humanity and raw adventure. However, awe-inspiring experiences ( with tonnes of people) K'gari wins with loads to see and do . But K'gari does need 14 - 21 days to see it all with enough time to relax between epic days . That veiw is based on someone seeing it all and never going back to visit. Brilliant editorial.
thanks for the tip! blind corners at ngarla is the killer! flag poles wouldn't be much help as they only go up and down vertically sort of need one coming out the side (horizontally) there..
Fraser Island; One of the best places on earth I could live there being an old traveller there many times for many weeks .... but used to do Moreton as well... why chose.... do both and live life and enjoy the best... great series Sarah and Keelan 💕💕
Amazing footage of Fraser, especially the drone shots with the sharks! Been on Fraser Island about 6 years ago already, will be back one day! 😃 Love watching your channel. Cheers from Holland
That was gloriously beautiful and compensated for the loss of our trip . We were more than half way to Qld from SA and had to return. Great job and you showcased the island so well. We love you two. Thank you so much …you brightened our day! 😊☀️💞
I was on Frazer Island in 1995 I had rented a Land Rover and driven all the way to Indian Head, and was packing a 12 feet beach & rock fishing rod and had good fishing at Indian head Thanks for your amazing video
Totally awesome guys, wow that was totally magical, you certainly did the island justice, all your adventures are magical, thank you for another amazing video, and like I like to say, stay safe.

Sarah and Keelan there's some big sharks as is home to the Tiger sharks I worked on a fishing boat and when you are out there at night we have had trouble with the nets .
Hey Keelan & Sarah, you have shown K'gari off brilliantly, glad you liked it, also pleased it lived up to the reputation I'd expected of it for you. It never disappoints ourselves, hence the attraction to return annually. In regard to induction cooker, we have found 800 ideal to cook pancakes ourselves, tried higher had a mess, 300 would be far too low on ours. We just simmer on 300. Either way, induction is so good once an east coast breeze picks up, creates havic trying to cook on a gas flame.
How good is Fraser guys We loved this 👍 Park the van near eurong We had to get to kingfisher in a hurry. My wife was sick and eurong resort told us to park our camper trailer around the back of the resort and they were absolute legends about it. We were gone for a week and our camper was still there. We stayed a couple of nights at eurong when we got back and the place is awesome. My wife wasn’t well and the staff were so good to us. Can’t rate them highly enough. Love your work guys 🎉👍
Dam I think we have seen more of Fraser Island with these 2 episodes then we have with the 3 trips we have done there! Thanks guys absolutely love these Frazer episodes!
Lovely island. Great video work and content. Always good to help other drivers. We are going to an Island in Lake Michigan USA called Beaver Island this summer. Will be interesting going over on the ferry with our Overlanding 4Runner. No sharks in fresh water...may try a bit of fishing.
I enjoyed this. And it’s cool to see the dingos. They seem cool just hanging on a beautiful island chasing birds and napping in the sand. Lol. Thanks guys
Great vid guys! Loved your touch on Fraser Island and really like your love and respect for each other which shows through on every vid you do! Thanks heaps again, phil

We are taking 6 vans to Fraser in August and are looking for recommendations on where to park up for a week, did you come across anywhere that would accommodate a group this size? Loved the drone footage of those bait balls👍🏻
Great series of the island's my favourite is definitely Frazer it's got it all dingos fishing 🎣 sharks turtle's wot more do you want maybe in your case Keelan is to catch a fish 🐠🐟 l caught 6 in 30min and I am not a fishing person anyway cheers legends ☺️

You call it pristine as I do. The logging and sand mining do not show any scares, sure if you look hard enough into the forest undergrowth you'll find evidence of logging but nature has/is reclaiming all. The sand mining ceased in the early 80's, I seen zero evidence this ever occured now. Been a great series thanks Guys, can’t pick a favourite,!they are both beautiful islands with lots to see & do. The forest tracks on Fraser looked amazing. The drones shots too, seeing all those sharks was amazing, just as well you didn’t go surfing. Shame you didn’t land any fish Keelan, not through last of trying. Thanks for all the information shared Sarah. All very helpful. Have a great weekend, safe travels. Cheers
thanks mark! Fraser is killer! for us its a toss between Moreton and Fraser!! both have there strengths for sure!! ill be back to land that tuna!! cheers for watching and supporting mark!!

Hope you did some whale watching while you were there. If not maybe next time. Just a plugg as Freedom 3 Whale watch tour I recommend, a great day out on the water. Love your videos. Keeping us informed and seeing you having so much fun on your adventures puts a smile on my face
Great video Keelan and Sarah really enjoyed it. It’s definitely a tuff question they are both gorgeous islands only problem is west stradie is those tiger sharks you can’t get in the ocean and have a swim or go surfing. That resort looks amazing food and the pool looks really nice. And I’m sure it tastes good too. Looking forward to seeing you both next Friday for the next episode
Yeh, done my fair share of swimming there too, but must admit, the day two tuna came screaming past me, that got me outa the water real quick as I thought to myself, whatever spooked them or is chasing them must be bloody big and I've seen my share of sharks lurking in the gutters inside the breakers to know they're around. Whilst their presence is scary, it awesome to see them just trawling the gutters also. And as for the Spanish Mackerel that came up in the drone footage, watched a young couple spend well in excess of 40 mins one time landing one just north of Orchid Beach. Beginners luck, first fish they'd ever caught. Straight up to Orchid Beach, purchased an esky & ice for their food, turned their fridge right up to freeze the Spaniard and take him home to show it off. I had to inform them what species they had caught, their fishing knowledge was zero, shear luck to snag such a prize.
Love the fishing guys Looking at getting the Dometic swag in the coming weeks, any faults at all as of yet that youse can report? Thanks guys keep up the goods

It's a bloody big magnet for me too, keeps drawing us back. We did Moreton one year, BUT having been to K'gari repeatedly prior, well Moreton just did zero for us, no where near the diversity K'gari has. Aside from that, the acidy mineral content of the sand/salt on Moreton showed itself in bright orange surface rust on any underside bear metal, K'gari sands mineral content not as corrosive in my opinion. Fortunately it's only surface stuff that is soon polished off crossing paddocks of long grass. Sorry Moreton, K'gari gets my vote and my annual tourist dollars.
I’m only new to the channel but loving the content guys! I have a heap of catch up to do. I only recently did moreton and Fraser and it’s a toss up between the two for me as well. Both so different and both so great in their own ways. It was west coast camping on both for me though which was the winner, can’t beat a sunset over the beach/camp.
Great content guys we are planning to travel next year thanks for that info also with your caravan is that van the same as when you bought or did you update anything like suspension tow draw bar because we will be looking at buying something similar

Wow, the fishing at the beginning was really exciting, bummer you couldn't pull anything in.
