Books don't have the Squarespace Sponserships I crave.
yeah because we're all constantly building websites in the year 2024
Each page I hope to read "This book was sponsored by manscaped" but I'm always disappointed
Audible is a good compromise between not reading a book and not having Ads.
@@joshuaizly5502 audible is a good honey to save you money on raidspace squarelegends because manscaped skillsharium won't hide your online activity like nordvpn
I am literally alive just to consume NordVPN ads
The absolute book reader! He always neglects family and friends!
Will my old and feeble granny who lives alone and fell off her wheelchair tell me about the exploits of Dalinar Kholin? I think not!
Like my father used to say: give a Man a book he will carry it for a day, teach a Man a thing and he will live forever.
39 buried, 0 found :)
this is the exact moment when man carrying family became man carrying book. Truly one of the saddest moments in cinema, though not quite as depressing as when plankton died...
@StevieNockman my hostage holders said they'd chop my nuts off I get more than 25 likes
Guys please don't like this comment I'm begging 😭🙏
I love reading a book and chapter five starts with the line “this novel is sponsored by NordVPN”
I think one day this very scenario would happen
How else would you protect your private data from hackers, corporations or governments?
@@valhatan3907in the novel _The Space Merchants_ by Frederik Pohl and Cyril M Kombluth they mention that in the future book would have ads on them
World anvil would be a better sponsorship
Nah, I don't think that's plausible. Writing a book is no easy task but most of the time you're just arranging different pieces and parts of the story, which takes even longer if you don't have Campfire. Whether you want to write a book, tabletop RPG campaign, short story, or just create for fun, Campfire’s writing software streamlines the writing process to make beginning your project more efficient and staying on track easier. Campfire’s interconnected tools-
My favorite bits:
0:05 holding a book
0:07 carrying a phone/camera
0:09 holding a phone
0:09 carrying a conversation
I haven't watched the second part yet but hopefully he will be carrying things too
Omg I just watched the second part and Man carrying thing after spending 90% of the video saying he is not the mahdi does a full 180 at the very end with a speech about his immortality while a voice (his own ?) from the outer world speaks about the text as it was written.
Truly magnificent
As written
@StevieNockman you don’t need a professional camera if you’re begging for 3k likes, a 5$ webcam should be enough
Holding a phone was my favorite part

"And so he turned to the camera in triumph, a look of superiority in his eyes as the video essay on the screen droned on in the background.
"I will never die." He said with a staunch, determined tone, power coming from his voice with every consonant uttered.
As he proclaimed, he would never die. For the video essay enjoyer would also enjoy eternal life."
I love the way he carried that book- wait a minute...
Fancy seeing YOU here!
He is a man carrying, shall we say, a thing.
now hold on just a second!
Wowie a check ‼️
This whole time I thought he was a thing that carries men, not a man that carries things

"I will never die" A metaphor for how much time we spend watching video essays that we tend to forget how short life truly is to be doing that. Man Carrying Sadness
Suddenly put into context into why that last 3 seconds of the video is so existentially terrifying
😓
What about video essay readers
Man Can't Think didn't think of subtitles!
They're centrists - hated by both sides
Isn't that reading books with extra steps?

@@willfinck1267 What right man would have it any other way?
This is masterpiece
Suppose a man and thing with nothing to wager save their lives. Who has not heard such a tale? A carrying of the thing. The whole universe for such a thing has labored clanking to this moment which will tell if he is to be carried by that man’s hand or that man at its. What more certain validation of a man’s worth could there be? This enhancement of the carrying to its ultimate state admits no argument concerning the notion of fate. The selection of one man over a thing is a preference absolute and irrevocable and it is a dull man indeed who could reckon so profound a decision without agency or significance either one. In such games as have for their stake the carrying of the defeated the decisions are quite clear. This man holding this particular arrangement of things in his hand is thereby removed from existence. This is the nature of carrying, whose stake is at once the game and the authority and the justification. Seen so, carrying thing is the truest form of divination. It is the testing of one’s will and the will of another within that larger will which because it binds them is therefore forced to select. Carrying is the ultimate game because carrying is at last a forcing of the unity of existence. Man carries thing.
aw dammit, beat me to it!
I like to have video essays playing in the background while i do other things, like reading books
Have fun ignoring your friends and families for eternity.
Rewind the essay cause you missed the context. Going back a paragraph cause you forgot the context. Repeat until you end up at 0:00/Page 1

Can confirm that while watching video essays I never sleep and am a great favourite.
He watches Video Essays.
He says He'll never die
Dude put at least a spoiler alert
the absolute legend, he’s too busy reading books to miss!
You cannot miss if you do not throw
I love addressing my best friend as "best friend" over the phone
thanks man carrying thing. you really reinforced my desire to use reading books as an excuse to ignore my family, procrastinate work, feel smarter than everyone, and skip my best friends wedding.
Yeah I was already doing all of that already, but might as well read some books in the meantime.
its a good movie tho, circle back to it later
The absolute Judge. He will never die

You forgot about the venn diagram overlap.

I’m working on a novel, so I’ve been watching writing tutorials, which led to UA-cam recommending me “booktok” compilations, and this is the vibe I get from them. Like, it’s one thing to enjoy reading and another to make it your entire personality.
Watching a Man Carrying Thing video feels like reading a book and watching a video essay at the same time.
watching a book and reading a video essay
the absolute legend he never misses the chance to call out people who read
He said the thing! From that one book I've watched a video essay about!

I love the part when Man Carrying Thing says “it’s carrying time” and then carries that book all over
For real, though, your Butcher’s Crossing video essay was amazing. I love your ability to articulate and pick apart the nuances of such a simple story and the gripping way you retell it.
He is watching, watching. He says that he will never die.

He never dies, the absolute video essay enjoyer!
....they are dancing, the comment section slamming under the copypastas and the fiddlers grinning hideously over their canted pieces. Towering over them all is the man and he is naked dancing, his videos lively and quick and now in youtube shorts and bowing to the ladies, huge and pale and hairy, like an enormous thing-carrier. He never sleeps, he says. He says he'll never die. He bows to the fiddlers and sashays backwards and throws back his head and laughs deep in his throat and he is a great favorite, the man. He carries his thing and the greasy mop on his skull passes limply under the lamps and he swings about and takes possession of one of the fiddles and he pirouettes and makes a pass, two passes, dancing and fiddling at once. His videos are light and nimble. He never sleeps. He says that he will never die. He dances in light and in shadow and he is a great favorite. He never sleeps, the man. He is dancing, dancing. He says that he will never die.
The thing he carried are the books he read along the way.
"I will never die."

An incredible reference to his previous works, Man Carrying Thing is simply a genius of our time.
His feet are are light and nimble. He never sleeps...
Having watched this video, I'm guessing the plot is made through the perspective of the video essay enjoyer, showing his own perception of the book reader. truly the thing man is carrying, is a degree in cinematography..
Not only will you never die, but they will say you are a great dancer.
The near death scene at the end had me in tears/I'm reading a book

Immortality is how I can justify spending so much of my life watching video essays.
Good thing I'm so good at multitasking so that I can see this video while reading my books.
"He never sleeps, the judge. He is dancing, dancing.
He says that he will never die."
He says he never sleeps... He says he will never die... He takes a book from one of his shelves and takes a pass at seeing his friends and family, two passes. He is reading, reading. It is a great favorite what he is reading, he pirouettes towards the anime figurines on his desk and sashes into his easy chair. The book he is reading is a great favorite, and so he will never sleep... He says he will never die...
I am illiterate but also immortal
I love using books to hold up my tablet so I can feel smart watching video essays without doing any research! My favorite essays are about other essays. I really need events and their meanings summarized for me.
The multitasking one is too accurate as an A.D.H.D. haver.

Not true, the book reader answered the phone instead of ignoring it to read.
"I will never die" and then they tell you about this video essay they watched about some guy that died 40 years ago in some horrific accident and you just gotta sit there listening to them cause its not like you've got anything more interesting to talk about.
