There are many different types of laser machines in the market that can treat pigmentation and melasma. So which of this the best laser pigmentation treatment?
The truth is there is no such thing as the "best laser".
As different laser machines provide different wavelengths of laser energy to target the different pigmentation situated in the various skin layers. Instead of searching for the "best laser", we recommend visiting a trusted medical aesthetic doctor to obtain an accurate assessment of your skin before embarking on any treatment, as not all lasers are suitable for pigmentation and melasma.
There are a few factors that a doctor will have to consider, such as your skin colour, the amount of downtime you can afford, and the types of pigmentations you have before customising a suitable treatment plan for your skin. Does IPL work in the treatment for pigmentation and what is the appropriate wavelength for the filter used?
Hi Alma, IPL is more suitable for mild pigmentation. For stubborn pigmentation or melasma, you may need other laser treatments or in combination of the lasers to achieve the necessary results. Speak to your doctor to learn more :)

I heard pico laser is best got pigments!
There are multiple medical machines in the market, it is hard to identify one good laser machine for pigmentation. Thus, we recommend using a combination of lasers for optimal results.

No disrespect here but is NOT very hard to identify which laser makes the skin respond well depending of what each patient has issues with. If the data shows that 1440 yag laser does has a high success of getting rid of melasma then the "best laser" for a "high" chance of success of getting rid of melasma is that laser, it is common sense Dr Chiam. 😉
