I just did my first ever paint correction on my 07 Impala SS I watched you do it to both your trucks and slowly bought Adams products. Got the polisher you recommended that you have for Christmas and ordered Adams compound pads and polish. It took me about two and a half weeks to do because I only got to work on it about an hour and a half a night and was gone on the weekends. Took up my dads garage for a long time😂😂 It turned out pretty good but definitely need more practice at it! Adams graphene spray coating is what I put on it two nights ago after I finished paint work and so far it works amazing. Thanks for your recommendations on equipment and products! It all started from watching you! I owe my new spendy addiction to your sir😂😂😂

Looks good! My 2022 Camaro paint was destroyed by the dealership as well. I took it to a detail shop to have it corrected and even they were shocked. Ugh.

I Detail as a side hustle, GM black is my worst favorite to paint correct, as it takes way to long to get close to perfection. But when it is cleaned up and coated for protection it does look great! Great work with the chemical guys, but their are some other products that would of cut your time by about 5 hours. GET That shop going so we can all drool over it!

Yeah the chemical guys stuff isn't the greatest. Check out some of the pro lines in maguires. They have a 3 step.

Inner barrel with ocean wrap would be best. I would have also wrapped the entire caliper in that ocean color

I can definitely say the paint on my 2022 LTZ 2500, embarrassing quality. I literally bumped my lunch box on the rear panel by gas door and Poof paint chip. my 2009 Silverado I have bumped 1k Times no chips

New cars from the manufacture are rarely in perfect condition from all manufactures. Dealers try to fix the issues but always fail. Never have the dealer wash or detail your ride. They suck & don’t care about your car.

First mistake here is the chemical guys stuff, not good. Camaro paint is a horror show and can be a PITA. I know that paint like the back of my hand. Camaros is all I do now. I probably done 30+ camaros here in South FL. Here is the recipe that works. STEP ONE: Urofiber 50/50 microfiber pad. if car is really bad use Sonax Cutmax, not so bad use Sonax perfect finish. STEP TWO: Rupes Yellow pad and Sonax Perfect Finish. thats it!!!!! now panel prep and coat how you wish. As you can see, its only a 2 step deal, not 4.

Looks great but dump chemical guys stuff. Grab some rupes foam and wool pads. Also lake county or Meguiars microfiber pads cut great too. It’ll help cut your time in half. Check out Esoteric here on UA-cam, they give great tutorials.

I’m digging the idea of the brembos powder coated in the teal and leaving the rims black. I don’t like messing with a good thing and that ZL1 is badass as it is! Would definitely help it stand out without overdoing it on the teal. The shine on that paint correction is top notch! Great video brother

Great job on the paint correction. I hate Chemical guys products...just my opinion. I try to use high end stuff and it pays for itself when detailing. As for Avalon king stuff...I hear a lot of mixed reviews since it is sourced from China some batches work better than some.....coming from detailing UA-camrs. Great videos and content buddy

The “extra clear coat” on your truck is actually an anti chip material that is applied on the e-coat right before the primer is applied. It adds extra protection from rocks and debri. Some vehicles get it on the front of the hood also.
    P.S. love the ZL1!!

Aaaaand this is exactly why I charge minimum $1,500 to correct and coat a black Camaro. Modern GM black is so difficult to work with.
In the future try some rupes wool pads for the heavier cutting. You’ll save a ton of time. Obviously you’ll have to come back with 1/2 more stages of polishing to get rid of the leftover haze, but you’ll get the deeper imperfections out much faster. Rupes foam pads are also 👌🏼

You gotta get that ceramic coating to protect from that. I had my car at the dealership earlier today and they kept asking me what I put in my car because everything just slid off 🤣 they can't even scratch it because the coating heat treats itself

when you say the dealer took paint off your car, that is false. It is the clear coat they took off, not the "paint".. If they got down to the paint, it would look dull, due to the clear coat being gone.
