I really wish they would've kept some of these scenes. Leave out some of action scenes to add some character development. I especially liked Padmé's story about the kids who died because they couldn't adapt outside their planet. Seemed like a nice thematic parallel to Anakin's downward spiral after leaving Tatooine.
Or just replace it with one of their many scenes where they're just talking about pears or dictatorship
I think these specific scenes are really out of place. It's a damned SPACE OPERA, and not some Midwestern suburban young adult romance flick.
I quite agree with that - Padmé has obviously gotten over not being able to help those children because they never were meant to live outside of their world. She realized she had done all that she could for them, and she did not feel she had to be perfect and/or super powerful, the way Anakin did. And this even though her political work/service meant everything for her and she usually did give 150% rather than 100% in every given situation. It made her sad, but it did not make her go over to the Darkside, the way not being able to help his mother and wife did to Anakin.
they needed all those first scenes to make their relationship less creepy but no lucas couldn't to save ten minutes
Jon Shafe All this droid factory useless crap instead of this !!! * sigh *
George were too much into the action for that the relationship ( that it’s in the precuel the whole point) was missing
02:24 Wow. Anakin. That's a little fast.
Most of this stuff is great. Really utilises the great abilities of these actors, unlike the 'creepy' and awkward scenes/dialogue that was in the final product. Take out some of the 'it's strictly professional' rom-com stuff and replace it with:
Padme's Sister: Have you seen the way he looks at you?
Padme: it's forbidden for a Jedi to love
Padme's Sister: That's cruel. How can an order with so much compassion restrict love?
Padme: People in the senate are beginning to question the Jedi's code...
I'm no script writer, but something like that would have made for a great scene.
2:05 You're only trying to convince yourself, Padme.
these scenes are so cute and add way more depth to the characters. they grow anakin and padme’s relationship tenfold.
“Our relationship is strictly professional” lmaoooo explain Luke and leia
These scenes make their relationship less creepy, but wow does this NOT feel like Star Wars. 😅 The locations and sets make this look like it’s just on Earth, it’s so weird
Eh all they needed was a droid or something in the background and it would’ve been fine.
No different than the blue milk scene in a New Hope. Beru was even wearing a jean jacket. Something never seen again in Star Wars.
Definitely agree. I'm sure it could've been saved in editing, though.
Am I the only one who didn’t feel as though their relationship was creepy? 😭 There love is so beautiful in my eyes I was literally heartbroken at the end of Revenge of the Sith. Anakin is supposed to be awkward as he has no romantic interactions with girls, padme is his first. Also, the way they look at each other is just wow
I mean we need earth like planets somehow, Naboo humans colony fits. Coruscant is so damn polluted definitely SJW's hell.
@@heygema since when did not liking pollution become an SJW thing? You're just making this shit up.
Seeing Padme's family is so good and interesting. I sure hope they use these deleted scenes to make an anthology series.
At 1:41 when he asked if she is in danger and Anakin says yes Padmè is like wow your SOO trust worthy!!!
😂
This would have made their relationship less forced
I believe too that it's intentional, jedi tricks only work on weak minds believing it's not intentional
Anakin just got F R I E N D Z O N E D
As much as I like Attack of the Clones, I do think these scenes would've been so good to add in to ride home more of Padme and Anakin's relationship development. I understand some scenes need to be cut as the film is already the longest Star Wars movie of the franchise but these scenes I think help develop Padme more and really reflect a lot of the core aspect of her character and what makes Anakin become more attached to her in the film.
We do get more of it in The Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith but Attack of the Clones I do think with it being the core theme of the film could've really made it more impactful to it's detractors.
1:24 friend zoned. That's ok because he gets out of it and has 2 kids.
Wow. Lucas really did a overhaul. This is a whole chunk of movie.
I kept trying to figure out what was so weird about these. It’s because there was no music in the background! Starwars is so weird without the constant music playing in the back 😭
I keep noticing that with the old ones like they don't use much music for scenes that u would think would have music lol
@@kikifisselstein7322 Yeah but my question was different, the Kenobi series has nothing to do with it cuz there is music
Padme: ..our relationship is strictly professional.. (**saying this while wearing a seductive dress) lol
i'd loved to see those scenes. anakin meeting all of Padmé's family would have shown there relationship less forced. also why tf the family is never mentioned or Seen again?
all these scenes provided incredible context. Surely make like a 3-4hr directors cut of II & III
You can tell even from that scene how conflicted Anakin was. The experiences that Padme had and the friends she made almost made Anakin envious in some way, he keeps bringing back his tortured past because that's all he knew.
I think they should have included some of these scenes instead of what we did get
I agree, the first scene where they walk towards Padme's house is really nice. Gives you a sense of the local of Theeds. The small talk around the kitchen was rightfully removed.
3:47 DARTH FREAKIN VADER!
right there walkin by you will see a guy in a black cape black helm and a shiny spot
if I didn't know better I think padme knew she would marry Anakin she brought ghim home to meet her family which is a big step for people who intended to get married
bruh she may actually had some feelings but he was str8 up ASSIGNED BY THE SENATE to do so
I feel like this scene should have been added to humanize Padme more. We always see her as a serious queen and senator, but this scene shows a softer side to her.
Padme is so hot !
@@iigamingkinq na man she was natile was born in 1981 so she would have been 18 in the first movie 21 in the second and 23 in the third
@@jackmonday6242 In a video george lucas said that, and after I commented this I realized it was false info
Outfits are incredible .
Would have loved to see these back in the film by now.
I must say Hayden is very handsome!! I know there are good looking guys out there, but Hayden is very handsome. Who ever is his wife is very very Lucky!!
The fall of the Jedi was not from Anakin or Palpatine. TIS WA JAR JAR!
That "boy" singlehandedly brought down the Trade Federation flagship that was blockading your planet when he was in 4th grade. Did you forget about that?
He never got any credit for that. R2D2 should have told someone. Who was he going to tell, 3PO, and he wouldn't believe it.
He’s being polite. WeEr StArViNg. RELLAATTEEBLLLEEEEEE.
You know what I wonder? How come neither Luke or Leia were sent to live with Padmes parents?
Keily Perkins it would've been too obvious to the Emperor and he would've known that they were Anakin's kids
I remeber seeing these at the end of my old vhs when it originally came out. Couldn’t find it in newer copies. Thought they were a fever dream of the 7 year old me lol
I'm gutted these scenes aren't in the film, it would have made the love story much better.
They should of left this scene in its necessary development for their relationship and really whats five more minutes in a two hour twenty-two minute long movie
after seeing this I am considering that rey might be from padmes side of the family
Portman was 20 or 21 at this time in production. One of the very rare beauties that literally take your breath away. If there is anything valuable received from these prequels it would be that her state of appearance at this time is immortalized forever.
I wish they keep this scene in the movie because Padme got to meet Anakin family
Anakin meeting padme family would have been nice to see
Replace the ‘I don’t like sand’ and you are in my soul tormenting me’ scenes with these clips and AtoC will be a solid movie with decent character development and a clear political storyline.
and take out the "agony to be around her" thing. Jesus. You're so right tho.
You are at this dinner, but you are not granted the rank of boyfriend
I was expecting Mr. Jinx to appear at any second....
Excellent work, no fluff just scenes thank you
Padme has abs for days
1:30
actually wanted to leave
they really should not delete the scenes in Padmé's home
2:07 i saw that hesitation she's lying, she likes me
@@Kawaii-lv6bd He's just trying to match the kill count of planned parenthood.
Even the acting is better on these scenes than in the ones they kept
Is she in any danger?
Yes I'm afraid she is
....from anakin!!
Nice scenes pity they were deleted, I agree with Nihaal they would have made their relationship a bit more natural.
2:08 looks not as professional as their relationship. Green screen window.
The very first music sounds like something out of Harry Potter - love John Williams!
They should have kept the first pat in
These scenes seem important to the plot, I don’t understand why he would delete them.
Meet my boyfriend, Darth Vader
Anyone know if someone has remastered the quality of these shots especially the fixing of the cgi in the beginning for a fan film?
2:05 - friendzoned (for about 45 min)
It's almost sacrilege to cut a Chrisopher Lee scene
They should of added these!
It's so great scenes))
More scenes with Dooku is wholesome
I dont see why these scenes were removed
Rey and Ben's grandparents and great grandparents
Jar Jar is more fun than Iago from Aladdin.
In the first alternate scene, I can see Padmé's nieces playing with R2-D2.
This is Darth Vader....this is DARTH FUCKING VADER
Friendzone Bullshit, good to be cuted out.
I dont like sand
Why is this scene deleted ?!
the music in the beginning is such a delight for the ears. What's the name of th track?
Glad those scenes were left out. Their scenes in the actual movie are much better, and they have wonderful chemistry together!
WHY WAS THIS DELETED LUCAS???
1:09. Oh no.
Sitting with her back to that huge window is about as horrible an idea as one could have. ☹️
Professional.
They put this on VHS after the Movie.
The kitchen scene could've stayed cut but the rest of these were interesting.
I would have preferred if they cut out some of the cringey Anakin/Padme moments from the movie and replaced them with this scene. It is a better development for their relationship as it feels more natural, plus it gives some more backstory for Padme
So much more humility in George's work, especially in the prequels, to Abrams/ Disney board room crap. Autour cinema here. Obviously cut without good scenes such as these ones unfortunately.
i love padme and anakin's romance, but thank god they kept this out of the movie, it has a really weird feeling to it.
although i must add, it would've been nice to have some of the character development
It's so good, why take it out?
If we could just add these into the final cut and legalize the homicide of prequel haters, life would be perfect.
Shouldn't have deleted
Deleting this scenes were right albeit they're fun to watch. Inclusion of this scenes would've made this movie even more space soap opera.
Yeah that first scene really should have been in the final cut.
it is a space opera originally... and a kids movie.
quien traduce esto al español latino por favorrr???😢😢😢
J'ai mis un pouce en l'air mais je ne vois pas le rapport en fait ça s'est jamais passé dans le film de deux donc l'attaque des clones
Isn't this the Christmas Special?
these scenes of padme's family. so much soap opera, ah ok deleted scenes because photos looks like the harry potter way
❤❤❤❤heyheyy Noaaa de Cacharel ❤❤❤❤❤
I don't know right it's up to you to help me.
I used to own all six DVDs. There are less bonus features on the digital editions...it stinks...:(.
“We’re here”
No shit.
the dinner scene her dress doesn't even fit and she somehow? seems to be missing 3 months of crunches
That shot with R2 and the children was amazing.
Just saw that scene today and him playing with the children got me in the feels for some reason.
Yeah, just kinda wierd how they only laugh and don't speak a word. Like asking who Anakin and R2 are and greeting them. Maybe the laughter was placeholder. 🤷🏽♂️
