I love the fact that you took it in a different direction at the end, I'm just not really into the direction you went with it. But great job, it's definitely different. And before you go into that different part at the end I really really liked everything.
This is probably the most split comment section I have ever seen. I can only speak for myself but I think the remix is very well done. The sad lyrics combined with the rather cheerful sounding beats are a good contrast for me and intensify even more the opinion of the original rather than " destroy " it.
This song is so intiguing and so much of truth that one have always faced. I always keep coming back and listen to this. The remix is indeed add a lot value to this great track.. wonderful track.. lagend johny Crash..🙏🙏🙏
Wow. This johnny cash cover of a N.I.N cover used to be where I was at. Now I look back at where I was and where I am now and its all positive. My point being, I love this song and ad much as I avoid remixes, you have done it justice. Great job. Nice one. Peace out
"sucks ass"?! lol? You realise the song is identical to Trent's original, it's only more acoustic with aging vocals (which definitely suit). Trent has released Hurt in various versions over the years which includes acoustic as well. Johnny Cash did NOT remix Hurt, there is NO remixing here, it's structure/chord/tempo is all the same :| This however is a remix, and it's not great lol
This is like that moment at rock bottom where you refuse to give up....your surroundings are hostile and hurtful but you e fortified beyond the pain and take that step towards the light....
Respekt....eigentlich ein Song wo ich Angst hätte den zu remixen/zu covern weil von Cash ist echt genial. Aber ganz ehrlich Cash hat es auch getan. Von daher...und dieser Remix ist echt irre schön gemacht. RESPEKT!
There are songs u remix to make it different and/or better, then there are songs you appreciate for what it is cuz it's perfect the way it is. epic dumpty i suggest u grow appreciation for classics, not everything sounds better once remixed
This is incredible. Such a brave choice of song to remix. The fact that the vocals and the lyrics are so different in tone to the music somehow works: Like someone gritting their teeth and pretending to be happy when they actually feel like shit.
I have to say, despite the Hate you are getting, this is actually good, and I love Johnny Cash, this being one of my favorites and since it was his last song, Its really special to me. But I can without a doubt say this is good, and to all the other people hating, this could be worse, there are Dubstep remixes if that doesnt just irk you xD
Actually this insanely bad sounding crap is shown only as "Hurt" in the playlist shown on the previous screen. The (Arsehole & Faeces Remix) text only becomes visible once the video loads and this page is visible. This should have been thrown in the trash bin on the computer owned by the pimpled masturbator that made it ;-)
I liked Cash's Prison albums and he was always a champion of the underdog - always that! Late boy drank, loved amphetamines and was a 'bit of a one.' All of those Country groovers were, laid the pavement for the rock'n'roll pretenders who followed in their wake and Amen to that! When I heard that he'd covered 'Hurt' I was a bit sceptical because I truly don't like NIN even though I appreciate where Reznor is coming from...and Cash transformed this song. Utterly brilliant version and I love this remix as it takes the serenity and pain and extrapolates it, renders it ever more contemporary. Good one.
Such an emotional song and it really hits the feels at 3:58. A fade out at 5:00 would be good. This is actually very well done despite the criticism... iconic classics are the hardest to remix and I say this is one that makes the cut :)
Never seen so much fuckery under one video, and theres plenty of it. haha Still... I dont like this version. I dont think things like this should be remix'ed but on the other hand I dont care, do what you want people, you do it anyway.
So much butthurt in the comments. OMG, people, all this dude had to do is put "an UNKLE rework" somewhere and suddenly the future of music is assured. To the remix artist: this is solid, dude.
why do people say that. like they think they are smarter than everyone else.....we all know its a Trent Reznor song. maybe 1% of people dont. its common knowledge.
What's funny is all the comments about you messing with a classic song and them (commenting) attributing credit of the the song to Johnny Cash when it is in fact a Nine Inch Nails original song (1994 from the album downward spiral) that Johnny Cash remixed (2002 American IV: The man comes around)... Google does still work people (barely but it does)!!! Nice job on the remix by the way, Loved it.
Looked up the remix to hear what it would sound like remixed. I don't mind the beat - I think you did a good job. Next time haters want to hear this song - I think it best not to add (remix) to the end of your search que. Good job.
A lot of folk slagging this remix off! I like the added strings/beats as they lend it a more hopeful aspect. Preciousness is one thing and appreciation entirely another. Listen to the original if you need to and the likes for this far exceed the dislikes.....interesting take on it, imo - would have liked to hear the piano soar more, mind you.
I would like the emotiveness to carry through Into the instrumental sections more. It just feels a little too rigid and MIDI, but pleasant enough in itself.
this is better than I thought it would be

This is amazing. I've heard the original before and I am amazed how they nailed his lyrics with this different style of music. It flows so smoothly.
I like the way you see things :)

I honestly like this, it's a nice remix of a great song, stop comparing it to the original because it's obviously not, but it is good :)
Before 4:00 "It's not.. bad..." After 4:00 "What have you done"
eh its alright
Great I love this remix 👏👏👏
Dubstep Johnny back at it again ayyyyeee
Beautiful Remix
There are song that are not supposed to be remixed...
agreed
Then you realize, that Johnny Cash was the one who first remixed it with his country talent. The original is by nine inch nails and sucks ass.
"sucks ass"?! lol? You realise the song is identical to Trent's original, it's only more acoustic with aging vocals (which definitely suit). It's a "cover"
especially a legends last

Country is so hard to do a edm mix for. You did it.

A great remix for such a great beautiful song, people tend to forget the magic of remixing music specially classics which are rarely good
this is pretty chill
Naaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwww

i think is a great job, how can you destroy something that already is perfect ? if you don't like, don't listen. Love it! keep it up
i DO agree with you!!
I agree, I live this mix
we Vietnamese, like it! Cheers from Vietnam.
This song is comforting.
Johnny Cash's version is comforting.
Oh my, This guy just destroyed the song!
yea, because its not the old song anymore its a new song now, thats why this is a remix. if you want the old song then go listen to the old one lol
EpicBunty Tell Me something i DONT know. lol

They don't understand the feel of the song and tried to make it more upbeat
Linda the Lunch Lady and Friends Totally agree!
Bravo , les anglais sont vraiment admirable par leur gentillesse, magnifique travaille mon pote 👍.

Objevil jsem to nahodou a je to super.
Yall say it shouldn't be remixed, but there are many more likes than dislikes, i personally like it
THX 🦊🎧
Technically well done, neat sound, but the question is still whether the topics of the song and the beat really match together well.
They do...
