Regardless of the history of the text:
    If it works, it works.
People sometimes just need to let things be and not get worked up if its not suited to their interests.

The mystery of the book is the magic dude . Id totally like to talk to you about your knowledge on the book , no lie I do believe in the lovecraftian entities and their existence and how it could go hand and hand with the Simon necronomicon .

Placebos have real effects. I was friends with Herman Slater and, yes, it was a joke. It was *intended* as a joke-obviously. And it still works-it’s as effective as any other placeboic mind-setting tech. *The Book of the SubGenius* is another example of something valid, real, and effective-*in* the comedic placebo genre. What’s wrong with saying it’s both a joke *and* a placebo?

I have a suspicion that the source manuscripts that the book was built around was material sourced from the Kassite period of Babylon. The names of some of the gods( Adar, Ninib, Nebo, etc) were from that period. Many people seem to refer to that time period as the "dark age" of Babylon. I disagree completely. If anything, the Kassite period took the Old Kingdom (Hammurabi era) and tended to it. They did not change the religion of the land, they rebuilt it in fact. Karduniash, Kassite Babylon, survived for 400-450 years, which is extremely impressive.

It works I've been working with it since 1995. The tyson necronomicon I feel though has a couple of crumbs out of his books that do work but overall his books are trash. I do agree with you if people did their research and learned about the foundations of what's in the Simon necronomicon they would not be as obtuse as they are being

I wonder about Lovecraftian Cosmicism in regards to humanity having any worthwhile magickal control and how it relates to the Simon Necronomicon. What say you ?

The Simon nec does talk about how we are the keepers of the gate to keep the horrors out, but I take that as a more energetic/psychological approach because... I like to quote Stephen King for this one. "Monsters are real. They live inside of us, and sometimes, they win."

Hey dude, I have a hardcover copy of the Simon's necronomicon and I preordered it in 2008 before it came out, how lucky am I to have one of the first copies hot off the shelf lol. Anyway I have read the book through a few times back when I was very much younger( in my early twenties to be exact) anyway at first I didn't understand what it was or what I was reading until a few people I knew were using and practicing what was contained within. I understand the book is real I have read the dead names cover to cover a few times to and I'm going to start working with it, but I recently came across a book on Amazon called Simon necronomicon for beginners edited by Joshua Free are you at all familiar with this book? Let me know if you are.

I am. Personally I don't like Joshua Free's stuff because he mixes egyptian into the practices, which I think muddies the waters, so to speak. Check my necronomicon playlist and my courses if you wanna learn a bunch
