  • Blessed to have visited one of the most beautiful places on earth- Kartarpur Sahib, Pakistan. As a Sikh, I am beyond thankful to have taken my grandfather's memory to the place Guru Nanak Dev Ji spent 18 years of his life, and also came up with many core Sikh principles at, such as Naam Japna (recitation of the oneness), Kirat Karni (earning an honest living), and Vand Chako (sharing that living with the world).

As a US citizen of Indian origin, you can get Pakistani tourist visa online to visit the whole country including all the historical Gurdwara.

    • @khaleefax9553
      @khaleefax9553 4 роки тому +23

Yes but if you are an AMERICAN CITIZEN with a US Passport but Pakistani roots, you CANNOT get an Indian tourist visa on your American Passport.
You need to go Pakistan consulate, denounce ALL of your ties with a Pakistan, get a certificate from Pakistan consulate, notarize it and only then you can only apply for the Indian visa on your AMERICAN passport - and 99.99% your visa is rejected, you NEVER hear back from them.
The other alternative is, you apply on a Pakistani passport (instead of an American Passport) - you gotta have a relative in India who sends you an invitation letter after a very long and tedious process and even then, the chances of getting a visa are very low. You will get it (if you are lucky) only for two cities with the condition that you to appear in a local police station once every day.

@@khaleefax9553 Being in Information Technology I was always use to wonder what should I do if employer offers to visit India. Now I know. Despite of not having any active connection or active Pakistani ID , there is no way I will go to consulate and renounce my ties with Pakistan.

I am in the IT industry as well.
A fellow Pakistani American citizen who is on a high management position was assigned a small project where he had to visit India and train some engineers for an integration project.
He could not get an Indian Visa on an American Passport. And he refused to denounce his Pak ties. So he could not visit India.
When I applied for an Indian visit visa on my American Passport, I was told the same by the visa officer.
He said, you can't apply on a U.S. passport unless you go to Pak consulate, denounce ALL your ties with Pakistan under an oath, and bring us a notarized copy of your Pak denouncing certificate, and only then we *MAY* consider accepting your visa application on an American Passport.
Yes he was doing his job and I shouldn't have been rude but I lost it.
I picked my US Passport and said, "Mein teray India k visay pe Pehshaab karta hoon". And walked off.

Agree fellow Pakistan American living in NJ, I will never renounce my Pakistani roots just to visit India. Any country asking for such extreme regulations deserves not to be visited and given my hard earned money!! The process has to be same for Pakistan, we are too lax when it comes to Indians of foreign passports who get to visit Pakistan without such hassles. I have tons of Indian friends but the policies of the Indian government is something I take an issue with regarding Pakistanis or over seas Pakistani.

Hi everyone! I am so touched with all the kind comments made and truly surprised with the attention this video has gotten! I wanted to clarify a few things from this video :)
    1. When I say "No man's land", I am referring to the area between the gates at the border that is not armed by either country :)
    2. There are definitely many ways I can enter. For me, this journey was important to do coming from the border as it was the journey my grandfather would have taken! More of a symbolic route of history than anything!
    3. I am a Sikh, born and chose. My mom had a very dear Muslim friend growing up and took inspiration from her name for me because it was so beautiful.
    4. Please do subscribe to my channel! I plan on making more videos and hopefully, I will find myself visiting more Sikh gurdwaras in beautiful Pakistan soon ❤️

Mohammed Ali this makes this religious project even more interesting. The Sikhs have always and continue to fight kill Muslims for centuries. The Sikhs always go with the Hindus when it comes to Muslims! But their some of religious scared places are in Pakistan.so they have to be nice to Pakistan to get access to these sites and this helps Pakistan religious tourism related investments and jobs etc so do not expect too much from them. We need to focus on promoting religious tourism to generate investments/jobs/income and they get access to their holy sites. Win win for both

The teachings of Guru Nannak (May Allah bless him) are based on universal love, faith in one God, equality of human being and sharing with others. We are blessed that Pakistan has some scared places of Sikh faith. Government of Pakistan did not require passport (any form of identification is acceptable), it is the Indian requirement that requires passport. Hope Indian Government will be more kind and allow its citizens to visit Pakistan passport free. I pray that one day, there is free movement of people between India and Pakistan. Thanks for making efforts and visiting Pakistan. Please come again.

I am a firm patriotic Pakistani generalist based in England, since when Kartarpur is transitory and open I have seen countless video clips on UA-cam. Each clip is the same, departing from the Indian side, meeting the Pakistani people there, having lunch at the LANGER KHANA, etc. And return for the promise of coming back ... In these infinite video clips, none of the Maker of the clip ever said that a similar passage should be opened on the Indian side. The Pakistani people should also have the opportunity to go for Indian side tours; Who has lodged a complaint with Pakistan's side, And no one percent has ever seen anyone who has critisized him for never coming back to Pakistani side. Hope you will come to Lahore next time with a visa because it is said for Lahore that anyone who has not seen Lahore has not been born yet. Regards
