Clear packing tape to create glossy card stock? Genius! Thank you for sharing your cards (lovely!) and your process.
Thanks so much, Adriana! x
Wow again! This is a beautiful layout and there are so many ways one can use it with what we already have. I really appreciate that. I love them both. Thank you!
Thank you so much!
I'm on team pastel card, the cutout hearts remind me of ice cream and waffle cone ❤
Thanks so much! x
Both are lovely, hard to choose, I watch your videos every day and am learning so much more, thank you Natalie, you are a great tutor x❤
Thank you so much!
"LOVE you" is my favorite of the two. I go for brighter colors. But they are both beautiful...💜💜💜
Thanks so much! x
Love 2nd card.both are pretty
Thanks, Dee! x
Both cards are lovely and a great way to use your left over coloured card .Thank you for another great video.
Glad you like them!
I love both of them, and good idea too.
Thanks, Suzanne! x
Love both of them, but the more vibrant one is my favourite. Love the colour combination, which reminds me of the fruit salad sweets
Thanks, Selene! Glad you like them. x
Like both cards but the brighter one is my favorite!! I am trying to use what I have instead of buying new products!! It does get pricey!! I like that you show how to use what you already have!!
You are so welcome!
Lovely cards . Thank you for sharing ❤
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching. x
I'm in the process of making some valentine cars for a charity and came across your video. Love the clean and simple look of these and the different textures you used. Really love everything about them and I will be using that same general design on some valentine cards. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
That's lovely, Patty! I hope you enjoy making your cards. Thanks for watching. x
Just subscribed to your channel having recently found it. I like the different perspective you come from compared to other channels, a refreshing outlook. Thanks for sharing 🌟
Welcome aboard! Thank you! :)
Love the pastel one best. Your work and your explanations are both wonderful ❤
Thank you so much, Barbara! 😀
First time seeing your channel and SOOO glad!! I am trying a "No buy" every other month. Using what I have and looking at remaking the cards I like will really be helpful. Thanks!
That's great! Best of luck. Thanks for watching, Cathy! x
Both cards are so festive and lovely! I think I am more partial to the original card because I like the colors, the xoxo, and the stenciling with the pearls💕♥️❣️
Thanks, Cynthia! x
Your creativity is brilliant, I've never heard to use packing tape or to emboss for a shiny look, among all the other tips in your videos! I hope everyone that visits support your channel! If i had to choose my favorite it would be the brighter card for Valentines Day.
Thanks so much, Stacey! 😊
Great Natalie you have some great tips. I love pinks anyway but perhaps the darker one is my favourite.❤️
Thanks so much, Linda! Mine too. x
At the 4:58 mark, before you cut down the stripes, I wanted to snag a thin column of the uneven edge and have you pop some white butterflies atop it. You’ve inspired me again!
Ooh! That would have been great. Maybe I'll try that. x
Both beautiful!!
Thank you, Sandra! 😊
They are both beautiful! Love how you are artistic and share your ideas. ❤
Thanks, Jeanne! That's lovely. x
Both cards are lovely , my favourite if I had to choose would be the one on the right the pastel one . Purely because I always lean towards pastel colours . I too need to use more of what i have because I tend to have a hobby of buying and organizing craft things rather than use them , but I believe we are all a little guilty of that . Thank you for sharing your beautiful ideas x
Thanks for sharing!! So glad you like the cards. xxx
I like both cards but I do prefer pastel colours and the thinner strips on the big heart. I would have liked to see the die set that was the inspiration for these cards. That might make it clearer for us to think outside the box with our own stash.
Hmm, hard to choose, but I will tell you I like both. You are so clever. 🖌️🖌️🖌️🖌️🖌️🎨🎨🎨🎨🎨😻😻😻😻😻😻😻
Thanks so much, Beverly! 😊
Lovely happy little heart cards!! I actually preferred the xoxo lighter one!! The thiner stripes and colours appeal to me more... but honestly it was a tight race! 😊
Thanks so much! x
I like the pastel one best...I love your card ideas❤
Thanks so much! x
Brilliant again!! And both are just super beautiful!❤
Thank you, Helen! x
Id love to visit your charity shop. No crafty items ever in ones Downunder! Love pastel best... cos like textures best on it. ❤ thanks great ideas as usual.
Thanks, Shaz! I feel very lucky to have such a fab shop near me. And I love that the money I spend on craft supplies goes to a good cause. x
Both techniques are perfect. Great job as always.
Glad you like them! Thank you for commenting. x
Love both designs. So many clever ideas and tips. Loving your channel. Thank you ❤
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching. x
I love both of these!!! ❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much! x
Thank you for this video. SO many You Tube videos feel like adverts nowadays, you have to have the latest Tim Holtz, GIna K, Catherine Pooler, Altnew or Stampin Up products. Few are revisiting old products used in conjunction with the NEW & LATEST. You used a 2D embossing folder. WOW!! I think these cards are great I used your techniques here to create a card using up some DSP and hexagon dies. I'm going to try with a set of Star nesting dies this week. I found a new way to use an embossing folder I have Craft products in Britain aren't cheap and I no longer buy into getting the latest products as I want value for money and to be able to stretch my stash. I now buy the craft magazines from WHSmith when they have a stamp set or die set that I like. For £12 I can get, stamps, dies, embossing folders and stencils as well as a magazine with plenty of examples of how to use them. Thank you for showing us that crafting can be fun using what we have.
Thanks so much! My aim is very much to give people ideas so that they can use what they have rather than go out and by more stuff. It's so easy to fall into the trap of buying the newest product, using it once (or not at all!) and then leaving it to languish in our stashes, never to be used again. xxx
@@nbcascards I totally agree, I started crafting 30 years ago and would be sedced into buying products demonstrated at craft fairs. A few years ago I had a complete sort through and donated 2 large crates to the local primary school. The contents would amounted to about 4 months paay. Please keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
I love them both, am all so trying to use my stash up before I buy more stuff..xx
Thanks, Pauline! x
The backing paper left after you peeled it off of the adhesive sheet can be used to prevent your hand to get glued against the project . Beautiful cards , very inspiring , thank you for sharing . You channel has been recommended by You Tube , subscribed and the bell on .
Thanks so much, Karmina! That's a great tip. Thanks again. x
Beautiful cards! I like the one with vibrant colors the best. I’m a newbie crafter and don’t have all the dyes and inks. But I’m going to try this with colored card stock and/or DSP. Thanks for the ideas.
That sounds great! Thanks for watching. x
Love your cards!!
Thanks, Sharon! x
They are both beautiful. I particularly like the xoxo card because of the pastel colors and the vintage look of the sentiment. So many inspiring techniques. I will definitely give it a go. Thank you so much ❤
Thanks so much, Kim! x
Beautiful 🤩
Thank you! Cheers!
*I love both of them!! But first choice is the xoxo card. I just found your channel and I subscribed.* ❤😊
Thanks so much! x
I like the colours in your first card, they would suit a new baby card with the sweet pastel tones. My favourite is your second card, it’s bolder and the wider stripes suit it, the gold dots tie it all together 🙂 I must get myself one of the mini T squares……oops, there go the pennies 😁
Thanks so much, Alexis! x
Thank you so much!!!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching, Robin! x
I'm also focusing on using my stash to make my 2024 cards. A low buy year.
That's great! Best of luck. x
Both cards are so pretty! My favorite is your first one. I like the more pastel colors; the stenciling in the background; the thinner, daintier strips; the embossed circles on the medium heart, and the way your XOXO is more prominent than LOVE on the other card. Gosh! I guess what's not to love?? 😊 I'm going to make this one!! Thank you, Natalie! 💕
Thanks so much, Marguerite! I hope you enjoy making your card. x
That’s a tough decision. They both have their own characteristics. But, that said, I would choose the love you.
Fab choice! x
Both gorgeous cards Natalie. I guess I lean slightly towards the brighter one as I love vibrant colours. I’m going to search for a typewriter. Absolutely love your sentiments done this way. On a printer are just not the same. Thanks for your videos. Xx
Thanks, Maxine! Best of luck in your search for a typewriter. They are so useful as you can create any sentiment you want. x
If you have a computer available, you can download a typewriter font and print out any sentiment you want
@janetingacollins6409 thank you for this info. I do have a laptop on my craft desk so will check this out as my search for a typewriter that has ribbon and is working is not going anywhere. 😊
Both cards are gorgeous but I think I like the XOXO the best. I rather like the stencilling in the background. Thank you, Natalie.
Thanks so much, Jan! Glad you like them. x
They are both beautiful Natalie.
I can’t choose!
Great video, thank you.
You are so welcome! Thanks, Sharon. x
Both cards are lovely. I'm a fan of bold colors, although I like the stenciling of the pastel card. Have a great day and thank you for the lessons, tips and gift of your time and sharing your beautiful creations.
Thank you so much! I hope you have a great day too, Margaret. x
Where your sweater sticks to the sticky paper, I use the release paper, from the sticky paper, and cover the sticky part so I don't stick to the sticky... LOL....got that?!
Thanks! That's what I do now! LOL. x
I like the one you just made more, only because I like the colors better and the wider stripe. I'm doing the same thing as I am trying not to buy anything on an impulse, I've built up my stash now. I need to use what I have.
Thanks, Cindy!
I like the first one best... but love them both. I wondered if you could use leaf dies or flower dies in some cards please. I have loads but rarely use them other than to make bunch of foliage or flowers, or a single strand as an accent. I sure you will think of something unique x
Yes, I can definitely do that. I'll add it to the list. Thanks for watching. x
Prefer no 1 I like the stencilling in the background I think it balances the card a little more but I prefer the deeper colours of number 2 lol. So in the end they're both beautiful xx
Thanks so much! x
Just came across your channel. Both cards are so pretty, but i do like the one on the left better. The brighter colors, the gold drops, and the x o patterns you achieved with the embossing. I really love how the middle sized pink heart came out with some of the gold settling in the grooves. I have to make it a priority to spend less this year and use what I have. seems that buying craft supples has been a bigger hobby for me than actually crafting and I need to change that immediately. Just subscribed.💕
I think we can probably all relate to that! 😊 Thanks for watching and subbing. x
These are gorgeous cards. I’m doing the same spend less craft more, so I will be an avid viewer of your channel to get ideas to use my stash, thank you so much for your videos. x Aoife x
You’re very welcome. thanks for watching. x
Oh you did such a beautiful job on both!!!! I can’t choose!! I found your video very inspiring because I saw similar hearts and they’re sitting in my cart but I didn’t buy them because I wanted to see if I could create it myself too! 😅
Thank you for posting this video, I truly loved the way you walked through the whole process! ❤
Thank you so much, Stacy! Great minds think alike. 😊
Two beautiful cards!! I always go for pastel colours but! The brighter coloured card is pulling me over to it. Love all the ideas you show us crafters and this one Is a really good one, I’m brilliant at buying stamps, dies and card etc ( have a ton of them ) but not so goos at using them. I must follow your lead and start using them this year. Thank you take care.
Thanks, Elizabeth! I think buying crafty products and using crafty products are two different hobbies. The trick is to combine both wisely! ;)
@@nbcascards you can say that again!! 😂
I’m trying to do the same, create more with what up I have and spend less.
That's great, Martha! Thanks for watching. x
Lovely cards. What is the mat which you are using to hold your die cuts down whilst inking??
Thanks, Suzy! it’s a Waffle Flower Grip Mat.
thank you for the information, next on my list to buy !!!@@nbcascards
They are both beautiful but I prefer the pastel. I can't see a product list, what is your sticky mat called please?
Thanks! It's the 8.5 x 8.5 inch Waffle Flower Grip Mat.
@@nbcascards Thank you
I love them both! Where did you get the circle die? I am trying to not spend as much this year and use what I have. But, I would like the circle die to cut glitter cardstock, shimmer cardstock , etc. to make flat embellishments, so I don’t need to buy them.
Thanks, Dawn. I bought the circle die for exactly the same reason. Great minds think alike. It’s this one: amzn.eu/d/2BIT48y
@@nbcascardsgreat minds! 🙂 Thanks!
What have you placed the card strips on to keep them still while you colour them?
Hi Tracey! it’s a Waffle Flower grip mat.
Can you give a link to the sticky mat
It's the Waffle Flower large mat: waffleflower.com/products/8-5x8-5-grip-mat
Thank you.
