Appreciate the update Jim and FFG team! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for this great game, thanks for this video, hope we have a long lasting Journey!
Humility, honor, good game. We will go far together
Yeah loving the game and hope you keep it going because hands down one of the funniest TCG that I have played in a long time!
Yeap its very funny
6:56 Jim, can you confirm that this statement includes an increase in production for set 2, or did you mean for future sets after set 2. As you did not clearly say set 2 printing was increased at 6:18, just that it was gonna release in waves. I just wanted to clear things up.
I think it would be good to get an FFG stream or article to help players shift their approach to this game with the aim to build long lasting communities.
Early players have immediately defaulted to constructed play, but supply cannot support this for all and new adopters will feel they cannot compete or get into the game in this optimal decks environment.
Help shift the player's focus onto limited variants, with in store play (this seems to be your aim but a fear the message is being lost).
I hope future releases address this and help remove the mass, immediate consumption of product that hinders the majority of players
How will they support weekly limited events if product is short?
Did you even listen to the video?
@@FARSUS90 RIGHT!
Take the featured deck articles on the website as an example of influencing player focus - these are constructed, optimal decks using multiple legendary cards. Instead of focusing on these types of decks, put out decks for common only or draft guidance or community events or showcase the op cards...
please make the reprint distinguishable from the first print
Appreciate the transparency!!! Thanks for the update!
best tcg game ever created i love it so much
Thank you for the update !
Thank you for the good communication.
Hey loving the game, favorite part is the weekly play, thanks for prioritizing that, as I love sealed and look forward to drafting soon
I don’t know if y’all understand what this man just said… set 2 is also not going to be able meet demand… not by a long shot… get your wallets ready!
My comment timestamps two separate statements, they could both be about set 2, or they could not, they'll need to clarify
that’s literally not what he said
@@tesla6938 It is unclear enough to warrant the concern
damn more swu than destiny's first year??? That is awesome!
Bold move recording a video on product shortages with a sealed booster sitting in the background lol
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂🪦
Oh man those 3 boxes are going to have huge effects on the market.
Yikes, set one won't fully be back in stock until Q4 2024, that's crazy. I get supporting stores running events but stores trying to sell and keep customers happy with packs available ar not able to support this. I'd expect single prices to go up at this point.
Fr
If you wanted to support the game you should have started from day one; its only stores and players fault to join too late to the party
People have lives and youtubers that open 12+ boxes for content don’t help either.
@@FARSUS90 You're saying unaccessibility is a good thing for the game's growth? And it's on the player for getting in late? Most people have lives.
Players need to join the organized play events.
Before holidays? Like Christmas holyday? So there will be 2 sets released before we get a reprint of set one?
FFG being transparent. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
Oh yeah, so transparent that they forgot to address why Vader is $100+. So transparent that they forgot to mention the scalping problem. $200 a booster box, but so glad they "transparent".
@jiggyguy7782 On April 14th a showcase Boba Fett sold for $740.00 on e b a y,
On April 15th a showcase IG-88 sold for $220.00,
On Mar 23rd a Cassian sold for 157.50,
On Mar 22 a Sabine sold for $260.00
These are confirmed sales that I watched because I was curious how high they would go.
I would love to see some base upgrades or other base defense cards in the future.
This is quick check up is very helpful and inspiring. Thanks!
Hallo Jim can you confirm that the 2 print in oct-dec will have 2nd print on the cards or box i think its important to share with the public and collectors
Looking forward to a reprint! Thank you :)
Will a reprint of set 1 look exactly the same, or will there be a difference? Thank you.
This is what I want to know. Reprints are fine but they need to be marked
Same question here.
@@Darksbane100 Why would they need to be marked? So you can hoard cardboard for investment sakes? Just play the game and stop worrying about the values your cards will hold. If you wanna make money sell them now. I hope they print a large amount to counter act people like you.
@@rszabo8349Amen. They should come out exactly the same. Focus should be on the community actually playing the game being able to acquire product. The folks with more money than sense thinking this stuff is the next NFT craze are definitely not needed and keep leading to this exact same problem in almost any new TCG.
@@rszabo8349 why would you care about this. So what if early collectors have some value over the second printing.
We really appreciate the updates! You guys are doing a great job and keep it up!
Do they sell art prints to the public?? Those pics behind him are nice.
I hope it gets massively reprinted, my Area had a lot of it but out of the maybe 30ish boxes one guy bought up 16 boxes and only plans to sell it and doesn’t wanna play it, I want it printed so much that the “Scalpers” won’t be able to buy it all up and hoard it
Agreed. I sincerely hope FFG doesn't go the route that Wizards of the Coin did and end up pandering to the Scalpers and Whales while completely screwing over the LGSs and everyday players/collectors. That would cost them most if not all of their primary player base and effectively kill the game for pretty much everybody. However it's nice to hear him say that they definitely plan to have Spark back in stock in the near future. Hopefully this is an honest declaration and not just hollow lies and propaganda like Wizards would do.
@@jeffsmith5436 They are already doing that by not addressing the secondary market. It's the same business schematic, dude.
@@jeffsmith5436 this is literally what is already happening and by stating they will release set 2 in waves, this is clearly what they intend to continue doing.
The store where I play is completely sold out, aside from the 2 player starter. It's nuts!
You can't build and grow the community if the community doesn't have cards to play with. The legendarys were way too legendary guys this your tournament going players snapped up all the product. In the future if you increase the frequency of legendary pulls you will help slow the burn through rate of product
What more do you want from legendaries? On average, They're one in 6 packs. Thats 4 per box. Any more than that and they're not that important. If anything I think showcases are the issue. 1 in ever 12 BOXES..I know guys in our group that have bought 15+. No one would need that much for most anything else but that chance to pull one of those.
@@Satelesentinels I dunno, I think box toppers would have been nice an extra random legendary for buying packs in bulk would help both regular players and stores in my opinion. To me personally showcases feel rare but I think they should, and in this game they're done right alt arts of commons and rares. I personally think most of the drain on product this set was players and stores scrambling for singles as the market went up and up. I feel like collectors would simply buy a showcase on eBay if they didn't want to waste a grand or two chasing
@@Satelesentinels they're 1 in 8 and almost always in a single clear pattern
The key take away from this is Spark of the Rebellion Booster boxes are going to be limited hence why they are in “allocation”. They are coming before the Holidays, that is extremely vague, which holiday? Memorial Day? 4th of July? Labor Day? Christmas? The real question I would have loved answered is will booster box prices ever come down to a normal/reasonable price, or is this it/what to expect?
"The Holidays" in America Speak is always referring to the Nov-Dec "Holidays". So it's not really that vague.
Booster boxes for set one won't be coming down for set 1 anytime soon. Set 2 will likely be sold by most places at MSRP until it also starts to run short again. Then prices will go up again when stuff gets allocated for limited play.
What does "holidays" mean? Is that Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Chinese New Year? Which month are we talking about?
Will the re-prints be a 2nd edition prints with different art varations? Like borders card color etc. Or will it be the same set print that released?
Hope that theirs not going to be a 2nd print edition just yet 😬 I still need most of SOR cards😅
I bet it’s just reprints of the existing set 1 cards we have :)
How come we can't get this in Asia?
any eta on when this promised trickle of product to support organized play is coming? Because asmodee sure has no idea. reminds me of when x-wing had an ounce of success and ffg didn't have any to sell to shops.
Why can’t I buy Descent 2nd Edition expansions?? What is the status of the Ghosts of Grayhaven expansion ?? This is a major franchise and this video makes me feel that Star Wars is your only game!
Dang. That's crazy. Crank up the reprint machine then. Will that also generate more of the starter packs? Tokens?
Before the holidays as in.... Christmas?
Yes. They confirmed this in the live stream chat
@@SeanHobenAlkaidswrath yeah thats what he said. I wasnt sure if there was another holiday he was referring to, but not having more stock of set 1 before DECEMBER is a bad look. many of my local players have dropped out since theres no product. we were hoping product would be available by end of the month but having to wait til july for set 2 is goign to cause even more people to drop off
@@SeanHobenAlkaidswrathcan you post a link?
@@patwong6222 I’m not sure why they would even bother reprinting it if it not going to be available until right before set 3. It almost feels like what’s the point.
@@sn0ggrriss it’s the live chat to the video we are commenting on right now. Although I just looked and the live comments are not all there
Is it holidays yet?
I love the Game ! I‘m 100% in. Hope you Stay at Mx 3-4 Sets a Year and not become Magic Style
I get that reprints wont happen soon >.> but damn, the community is only getting hurt by this since it's hard to build a deck right now without those booster packs. new players to arrive till july i guess....
FFG , please clarify Holidays?
Christmas
Which holidays? 5:30
This always means November. That is the start of the holiday season.
Devo in Star Wars confirmed!
Love the game!
I’m slightly more hopeful for affordable SWU set 1 packs than I am for affordable Lorcana Set 1 packs.
What?? We have a company updating its consumers on the state of the game??? I'm shocked! I'm used to WotC and didn't know that was possible!!! Well done FFG! Show them how you run a company which has a long-term vision. And please don't listen to the game-pieces army and don't print too much of the 1st set.
"We are sending product to stores in order to support Organized play programs". Considering the horrible Brasil distribution by Galapagos: does it mean that product will be sent to stores in states that didn't receive already the product in order to launch the product and start to lounch Organized Play? Or product will continue to be sent to the same stores that were chosen originally, mainly located in SP to allow them to continue weekly games?
yyyeeeeeeee-ikes quarter 4 reprints? may as well keep this set rare
Wave 2 is gonna sell out faster than you can say: “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
I want print numbers
Wow. No, this was not positive. 6 months before set 1 can be bought again. That will definitely help with pricing.
Who has the Star Wars Rpg license these days?
When showcase Vader and Luke!? lol, I know we are all thinking this.
Weekly op booosters are also running out and need a reprint
I think releasing more of SOR after two other expansions is foolish. Set two in "waves" seems problematic at best. If you can't get your hands on some from the get-go, you aren't going to be able to compete without resorting to the secondary market. You should be flooding the market with Wave 2 to combat the problem you are facing now and ramping up reprints of SOR to release simultaneously with Shadows of the Galaxy.
Cha-ching. I hear more excuse than apology. Doesn’t really sound like you are there for buyer…that’s ok…you need to turn a buck. Limited amount to control your profit. Price vs demand.
Hello I’m a moderator in the largest Star Wars Unlimited buy sell and trade Facebook group! I would love a set of those aspect pins for my backpack. I’ve been looking everywhere and can’t find them
Congratulations FFG!
Screw FFG. They can print more cards and distribute right now, but they aren't because they're stimulating the game's secondary market; copying MtG. Transparent? Yeah right, notice how they don't address card PRICES and secondary market, just like MtG? We all should've known this was gonna be Star Wars the Shady Gathering when they decided to add that stupid shiny stamp in the exact same place as a magic card.
FFG should delay set 2 and focus on reprint set 1 until it reach every community in the world. If it is not possible, should at least release a product reprinting some legendaries that are overpriced, until it stabilize in a fair price.
Set two is already printed that's how they know they don't have enough.
Organized play..yeah..about that. So much focus on in-store activity that they forget that most of the playing is done in local gaming clubs with no access to a store. How come none other than Decipher of old (LOTR, Star Wars, Star Trek) showed love to actual communities through their Product Champion program, and not just getting people into stores? Can it really be that hard to figure out that the local communities of gamers are not centered mainly at a place where they can buy cards? Giving not only stores but also gaming clubs support, any support, is to grow the player base and results in a serious growth in paying customers for all those vendors. Not everything must be about money all the time. Sometimes one has to show that one actually care about the players and the game, and not just the profits and selling opportunities in gaming stores. Just saying you care about the game and the community does not cut it. Sorry about the somewhat negative view. Love the game, play often down at the club, we grow the game despite no product is available and have no access to a brick and mortar LGS. Look forward to be able to get more people into it.
We appreciate the transparency! Looking forward to future releases and content! We love this game!
I’m happy I built three decks and bought a booster case, when it first came out. Hard to get good cards in a. Lot of places.
Yea the prices are geting crazy! I'm sorry, but 250 USD plus shipping is way too expansive for a booster box. My local store is having its 3rd event tomorrow. I'm hoping to see more players there this time.
Unlimited already starting with the Destiny product shortage confirms my decision to just skip this one altogether. Please just give us a cooperative Star Wars LCG before you lose the license instead of churning out competitive card games that are almost always out of stock.
Is this the reason Marvel Champions has so much delay? 😢
This game is way better than that game

Not until December… well then you need to market the hell out of it again, because the game will probably be dead by then.
Set 2 comes in July...
Set 2 in July, set 3 in November. It's a disappointment that can take some steam out of the game, but I doubt it will be dead from a 3 month gap
@@cooleo1c and it will be trickled in waves, like this one is supposedly going to be now that there is not even enough product to support weekly tournament play.
Glad they are reprinting, inventory went so fast never got a chance to get a booster box or two. Also this game isn't MTG, all the MTG finance/investor bros getting mad at reprints shouldn't treat this game as an investment. I hope they reprint this game into the ground and no 2nd edition whatever junk. It would be absurd if this new game thats trying to get new players has cards right out the gate from Set 1 as unobtainable as the Reserved List from MTG 2-3 years from now already lol.

What a let down! V A G U E nothingness. Typical for Fantasy Flight Games.
I was trying to enter this game... Now it's a no-go.... Can't play without cards.
When he says "holidays" is he talking like, end of the year?? Geez :/
This is a lot of nothing. "We're glad you guys liked it and that we didn't make enough. We'll make more but no promises" Who could have possibly anticipated that a highly anticipated Star Wars TCG released when people are pretty sick of WOTC would have needed lots of product?
it wasn’t that highly anticipated, there was no way they could’ve predicted anything close to this much support for the game. and if you’re gonna bring up people being sick of wotc, people also didn’t have much trust in ffg so even more reason to print less. they printed a huge amount compared to previous games.
