- Starfield walkthrough on Very Hard difficulty with the following extra rules of engagement: No Purchases, No Meds, No Frontier Starship, No Companions, No Crew and more!
STARFIELD HARDCORE SURVIVAL MODE - Complete Rules of Engagement:
You must play the game on Very Hard Difficulty
PLUS...
1. NO MEDS
-------------------
You can only use meds that you craft yourself. All found meds must be ignored meaning you can't even pick them up to sell later.
2. NO PURCHASES
-----------------------------
You can only purchase the following:
Ship Modules (for ship builds)
Ship Parts (for repairs)
Ship Repair Services
Medical Healing Services (hire a doctor to heal you)
All other purchases are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.
3. NO OVERBURDENING
------------------------------------
You are not allowed to move while exceeding your maximum carry weight.
4. NO UC FLIGHT SIMULATOR
--------------------------------------------
You are not allowed to use the UC Flight Simulator to power level the Piloting Skill (or any other skill)
Plus...
NO COMPANIONS
NO CREW
NO CONTRABAND
NO THEFT
Plus....
If you wish to earn the title of Hardcore Survivalist Starborn, you must complete the Seven Gauntlets of the Galaxy (to be revealed as the walkthrough progresses).
And in case you haven't quite grasped all the ramifications of these rules of engagement, all this means you have to play Starfield without using any meds that restore health, without buying ammo, resources, weapons or armor and you have to go into combat with Very Hard difficulty enemies that are utter bullet sponges.
If you decide to take on this challenge, well all I can say is...
WE'LL JUST NOTIFY YOUR NEXT OF KIN. 8)
If this is too tough for you, you can always try my complete Starfield walkthrough on Normal difficulty which can be found here:

Happy belated birthday old man. LOL You are now five years older then me. Go Geezer Gamers.
I always thought you were closer to my age of 42 years. HBD Slack.
l will be 80 on the May 28, just started over 12 years playing video games
👍👍😎
Sorry it was a little late, but happy birthday, and thank you for playing the games you do.
hey man was watching your survival mode walkthrough in fallout 4 as it is the best on youtube by far... aren't you going to make an updated version for that ?
IMO, weapons have a better weight to value ratio than space suits, helmets and packs. Once I get going I only pick them up if there epic or better then what I'm currently using.
Cool game play slack . I was wondering if you are going play far cry 3 again?I love your videos))
Congrats on 25 years on earth!
Proud geezer gamer, aged 67
Yay !!
Nice one. Better late than never. lol
happy late beerday Major !!!
At 21:31, Bethesda introduces the Yo-yo Gun, and demonstrates "walk the dog"... 🙂
Thanks for the heads up. Just voted.
I can't reveal (cyber) the one
that I (punk) voted for.
God bless you, Slack!
Cool beans
I’m curious if you’ve seen the new difficulty settings that Bethesda has shown will be in the next release and if you’re planning to incorporate that into this walkthrough or in a future walkthrough?
I did vote on your community page. After this walkthrough come back to Starfield when they put in their Survival mode. Hopefully when the DLC comes out. They are already adding an Extreme mode soon for us hardcore slackers.
Haunted mission LOL

Ghost Spacer!😱 Lmfao 🤣💀
Sorry, I will be that guy. Nice, four more years
The beta settings have totally changed game. Completely.
Agreed. My Hardcore Survival Mode is now completely redundant. I said it before and I'll say it again, Bethesda means business with this game. Full steam ahead! I f#@king love it!
