My opinion: I took test drive of both Safari and XUV 700 and came up with following: Looks: Safari (looks more like a rugged SUV whereas XUV 700 has sharper look and gives feel more of a MUV) Power: Almost equal. On paper XUV 700 is powered with a 180bhp engine whereas Safari with a 170bhp engine. Both have multiple driving modes. Steering: XUV 700 is really fun and easy to drive as it uses Electronic Steering instead of Hydraulic. Safaris steering gives more feeling of a safer and big SUV. Seat comfort: Safari is leading in this. Also, the 3rd row seats are quite practical for people up to 5’5” height. Features: XUV 700 comes loaded with features. ADAS, Lane assist system, 360 parking camera, attractive infotainment, welcome seat function etc. Out of these 360 Parking and Lane assist felt most practical to me. These are really good to have features but high dependability on electronics worries me a bit. As I was planning to keep my car for next 10 years I couldn’t rely much on large infotainment and more on electronic controls. Malfunctioning of these can burn a hole in your pocket. As I am driving SUVs since last 10 years these didn’t seemed like essential features to me. Mileage: XUV 700 petrol mileage is around 6-7 in city being powered with a heavy engine. Diesel mileage is good but issues with Availability of model. On the other hand, Safari gives 12-13kmpl in city. Waiting period: XUV 700: 1-1.5 years, Safari- 25-30 days Considering all the above mentioned things, I chose to go with Safari ❤️
Good choice and I too booked my safari dark edition xz+ . And it delivered with in 25 days.. and this car is a beast.. with supreme road presence.... I am enjoying it.. it gives a mileage of 10.7 in city and 15 in highway.. .

I wanted to buy 7 seater vehicle. Went to Kia, maruti, tata show rooms. I was shocked to see boot space in safari. How do you manage your luggage there with 7 people?

Excellent review Rachit! I own this car now and have driven 3500 kms. It's class apart! I had driven Fortuner, XUV 700, MG Hector before buying this car and I must say- This car made me and my entire family feel so comfortable & safe. I own other cars too, but after driving this car in City, Highways, Forests, Seashore & Mountains, I can say that I made the right decision. With 7 people in the car fully loaded - I got an average of 18.5 kms per litre while travelling to Goa from Mumbai. The automatic transmission makes me feel as if I'm driving a BMW X1- It's seamless and no lag at all. The following features have attracted me about Tata Safari XZA +: - Supreme Suspensions: I travelled with 7 people - right from a 2 year old kid to 75 year old family member on board - Automatic Gearbox: What a fabulous and well tuned gear box. Effortless driving in city traffic as well - Auto Hold: Love the auto hold function that I have used in City and Mountains both - Music System: Amazing is the word for any music lover like me - Terrain Modes- I have used Rough Road in Forest and never made me feel that I'm not driving a 4x4 vehicle. This car is more capable than any other FWD - Seating Comfort: The best in its segment and even the above ones. Ventilated seats provide so much of comfort in Indian Summers, the second row seats can be adjusted and the last row is so spacious that two people can easily travel. In fact I drove 2000 kms with two adults in the last row - Fuel Efficiency: being a two litre engine, the mileage that I have got in city is 13.5 to 14 km/l and 18.5 on my to Goa from Mumbai SAFARI IS A CAR YOU WILL LOVE IF YOU LOVE TO DRIVE ON ANY TERRAIN. It's not a car for those who believe in buying only by driving test drive vehicles for 5-10 kms, believe in beautification of the car ( beauty parlours are better in that case), evaluate cars based on additional cosmic features and don't have time to explore weekends and go on long drives. I know people who buy cars like this and keep them at the parking. Drive only 5000 to 10,000 kms a year. Say no to tata vehicle for their unprofessional service officials when I have complained about its faulty drive their service personnel suggested me to drive the car in third gear at the speed of 60 kilometres per hour for fifteen kilometres to resolve the issue, this was my first day experience with newly puchased tata safari adventure persona just after having the delivery from showroom.

Yesterday I buy the vehicle Tata Safari, Vehicle Didn’t run properly, Cluster board didn’t on and Music player not working, Over heating (Coolant oil Going to reverse) , Starting trouble 👿 Lots-off problems. Horrible Experience.
Can you do long term review of Tigor. Its been in market since 5 year. You may able to find old buyer who must have piled up 60k+ kms. That will give prospective how car performs in long run. Less than 2 year don`t show true behavior of car.

Two negatives as a harrier owner, Steering feels light at high speed and it also doesn't inspire confidence during high speed bad roads. Also second gear feels clunky.
Back gear camara very bad even maruti suzuki provides better camera quality than this third class car I am owner of this car and this is my experience.
Tata selling cars with slogan vocal for local it is fake claim because they outsourced engine from fiate and gearbox from hundai so how they can claim local.

Don't buy Tata Safari. Bought a XZA+ Adventure Edition. On 5th April 2022 and next day it showed multiple problems. 1. Screen next to Speedometer went blank. 2.Infotainment System went blank. 3. Driving Seat motor was not working, so seat won't adjust. There has been no proper response from Tata Complaint centre. Better buy XUV 500.
1. Can we keep the auto hold always ON when in drive mode? 2. Does keeping auto hold ON always cause any additional transmission heating or other issues? 3. If Auto Hold is ON and we move to Parking mode does the EPB engage automatically?
Sorry to say but I am a bit disappointed with the video. Heading related to a review of the SUV after 15000kms but it was more like a new launch. It should have been a critical review after 15000kms. Any issues, negatives, complains one noticed during this while is what one wants to know. Please make a video on that. Positives we always come to know from the showroom, google etc. Thanks

Hi. Did you get that small dent on the rear hatch fixed? A little above and to the right of the 'SAFARI' logo. I came here to get a low down in the service cost. A little disappointed there but the rest of the video was to the point. Wish I could have waited for the later models and the upgrades.

Iam a BMW X3 owner , I pick safari over xuv bcoz it ticks all the right boxes and value for money too .xuv - less milage ,5seater only

Don't buy Tata Safari.
Bought a XZA+ Adventure Edition. On 5th April 2022 and next day it showed multiple problems.
1. Screen next to Speedometer went blank.
2.Infotainment System went blank.
3. Driving Seat motor was not working, so seat won't adjust.
There has been no proper response from Tata Complaint centre.
Better buy XUV 500.

No you won’t have any issues with auto hold on
Sorry to say but I am a bit disappointed with the video. Heading related to a review of the SUV after 15000kms but it was more like a new launch. It should have been a critical review after 15000kms. Any issues, negatives, complains one noticed during this while is what one wants to know. Please make a video on that. Positives we always come to know from the showroom, google etc.

I came here to get a low down in the service cost. A little disappointed there but the rest of the video was to the point. Wish I could have waited for the later models and the upgrades.
