    I fell like I've fallen in love with green tea again. I completely forgot that green tea can be roasted and becomes hoji tea, the aroma and flavour. I'm excited to try your recipes with hoji tea!

    I didn’t think it would be this simple to roast teal leaves. Thank you!

    I always thought green tea looses its aroma so much after time that you couldn’t drink anymore. Now I see how I can give it a second and delicious life. Thank you!

    That looks lovely! I am not a big fan of matcha in desserts, but i may like this a lot more, it has a beautiful amber colour! It makes me sad though because i struggle to find matcha foods i enjoy, when i love most teas

    Thank you so much for this great idea. In my teashop they sell Hojicha only once a year as "limited edition" so it is quickly sold out and I want to avoid buying larger quantities for storage (doesn't become better if you keep it too long). So now I bought the cheapest organic Bancha they had and roasted it to 3 different grades to see which one will taste the best. They all were good! Thanks again for this great idea. - now I will never run out of fresh Hojicha again and can also vary the roast-level. Perfect!!

    Wow, very nice!! I have drunk hojicha before but never made it from green tea - I can understand how that would bring out the aroma.. and the hochicha gohan and purin also look very delicious! We will have to try it! Thank you, Satoshi!

    My favorite tea!!!! It’s a tie with Genmai-cha! ☕️ 🍵 💚💚💚💚 Satoshi, does it have to be specific green tea leaves?
    Also, if we don’t have a rice cooker, can we still cook rice in a pot and use the tea instead of water?
    The other recipes are so easy too! I can’t wait to make them.

    Wonderful video, Satoshi! The Hojicha pudding looks so appealing and soothing. Do you think it would work using a non-dairy milk like soy milk or rice milk, or would the flavors of those overtake the roasted flavor of the tea?

    • @tabieatsrecipes4886
      @tabieatsrecipes4886  4 роки тому +1

      I think rice milk might work or even soy milk. Perhaps make sure to intensify the flavors for the Hojicha by using more tea leaves.

    Why boiling why for the tea leaves? It will scold them with this type of tea. Does it not come out super bitter for you?
