That is just brilliant content! Thank you so so so much for sharing the files to your 3d markers. You are extremely generous and a shining light in the field of 3D scanning. Please keep up the amazing content. Many thanks from Australia. 🇦🇺🤜🏼🤛🏼🍀😎☮️☮️☮️
To be honest, I just gotten to know you (Payo) through a forum. Good grief, the way you shared your knowledge. Its super duper clear. Presentation could have been better, but what you shared is very practical and so easy to apply for all Raptor users. Keep it up. I just adopted Raptor after using another range of handheld scanners.
The perfect channel for the Raptor I just bought. Thanks for sharing your practical knowledge and cool tricks. It's really very useful. Great, short videos without blah blah - just perfect! Thanks a lot!
Subscribed! Exceptional video. Tons of great info! Too many videos show one thing, but you went through your whole workflow. Not enough videos like this out there. Keep up the awesome work!! 🎉
Great video with lot of good information. Would be interesting to see process from exporting point cloud to cloud compare and perform alignment and optimization from here. Keep up your great videos!
Thank you for the video. I am writing a comment to ask for help. If I delete some of the scan data and then do optimization work, the scan data returns to its original state. What is the reason? Or, if you delete some of the faces after meshing the scan data and then click the mesh button again, this will also be restored to its original state. What is the reason? If I have time, I would like to watch a video on how to use the software in detail. Thank you for always.
I also had this deleting and come back issue with the older version of software. The current one, 3.2.14 doesn't has this issue anymore. It could be that you delete the point cloud by using delete key on the keyboard, try deleting by clicking on the delete icon instead, see if the problem still persists.
@@Payo-TensileCreator Thank you for quick response. One problem is that the version I am currently using is version 3.2.14. ㅠㅠ Is there a solution? Am I the only one with these symptoms?
Great Video thank you! Question, must this printed Markers made in black material or can i use other can i use also other colors? (with the original stickers)
Best practice is not to use polygonal mesh in CAD but to use point cloud instead. Even though, CR Scan software can be exported as OBJ, PLY and STL mesh.
I bought it from here. They're identical (reflectivity) to the one that comes free with the scanner. www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002395431281.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.21c152ce2Qsr4d&gatewayAdapt=glo2tha
It's called 6x10mm marker, I use this size for the target. The smaller one would be 3x6mm, usually I use it for smaller part and stick onto surface directly.
Hi Payo! When cleaning up the scanned object in "Origin" view everything i removed is visible again when moving to other scan can coming back. Do you experience the same? Any solution for this? Because of this topic i do not clean the Origin but only the Point Cloud.
It's like painting with brush, you would see painting stroke; to avoid that, you should scan in X (cross pattern) it'll reduce stroke line significatly.
I've seen some people put markers directly on the object, which I assume can be used for merging, much like with Peel3D scanners. However, I've noticed with Raptor scans, the outline of the marker itself is always present in the scan. In Peel3D it can automatically remove markers from the mesh. Is that possible within Creality Scan?
I hope I can find help with this, I'm trying to scan a bit of complex object but then I do have problem to work with it in fusion360, I know I do have to reduce the facets(triangles) but after I reduce them it for first: hugely loose quality and other thing is it still can't convert the mesh to prismatic, fusion always crashes. Please if anyone can suggest some ideas will be greatly appreciated.
CAD doesn't like polygon mesh. You can import it for scaling/render but don't use it for tracing/reference. Convert the point cloud PLY into LAS, then convert into RCP file with ReCap and open in Fusion360. I never use polygonal mesh in CAD. If you want to use mesh, you'd better go with Blender, 3DsMax, Maya. Those softwares designed to handle millions of meshes.
I'm learning more from your Raptor videos than from Creality. Thank you for posting. I was worried I would have to return it .

And markers downloaded and printed from Sketchfab. Thanks for sharing.
I agree, from the video I realized that Otter is more suitable for me)
Glad I could help

I just ordered my Raptor, which I didn't have done without your videos! Great work and also thanks for the link to the markers! 👍
Glad you like them!
Superb and so good to see the Blender at the end

Ok, I'll do that in a separate video
Set the video speed to 0.75 to negate the really weird speed up on the video.
Wish I could afford one, got lots of stuff to scan for my projects! Thanks for the video!

Marker's color doesn't affect Raptor's blue laser mode, but it would with the NIR (Lesser the contrast with the scanning object's the better)
Great video. What is best software to convert scan files to solid for use in 3d cad?
Best practice is not to use polygonal mesh in CAD but to use point cloud instead. Even though, CR Scan software can be exported as OBJ, PLY and STL mesh.
Thank you for your informative videos.
Where do you buy markers?

Would you mind sharing your laptop specs? You had 40-50fps looked pretty good.

Yes, it does that sometime. Some says pressing delete key make it comes back, you can try delete button instead.
I´m getting a laser pattern on my laser scans. Do you know how to avoid that?
