Disclaimer: Please be aware that working with hot liquid metals is very dangerous! Do not try this at home if you do not exactly know what you do. I have done a lot of preparation and informed myself before I did my first pour.
If you do so, make sure to wear proper personal protection gear like a full face shield, a respirator, a dusk mask, fire retarding clothing or a leather apron, good protective and heat resistant gloves and leather boots. Make sure to work safe and use proper foundry tools.
Finally enjoy the hobby! - Навчання та стиль
Gotta love some great looking brass bars. I can see why the iron used bronze. Heat and water, good corrosion resistance. Awesome melt 👍
Thanks! Now that you say that, it makes sense to add another metal to the brass for an old iron. Too bad I noticed that too late and it contaminated my regular brass.
That is a huge haul of ingots. Nice. 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Joe! It was basically the last brass I had laying around, hope to score some more brass soon :)
Great looking bars for the stack and the stack is really looking nice 👍
Thanks! The stack is growing steadily, but have to move it to the new shed once that is finished, it is getting too heavy for my floor LOL When I'm back at melting again will add some nice copper bars again to the stack :)
Nice melts, nice pours and marvelous bars. A lot has changed when I was gone.....but I am back now and trying to catch up :)
Good to see you back brother! I am away for a time, too busy building the shed and with my new job :) Hope to be back at it if my shed is done!
I love brass!!! Copper is my favorite though :) it is good to see new vids from you man and I enjoy your tig welding videos also!
Brass and gold look like. How do you know if it is a brass bar or gold bar?
Thanks mate! Yeah copper is my favourit too and I will make some copper bullion in my next melting video, too bad that can take a while as I am pretty busy now with my new job and building of the shed :) Stay tuned, I will be back soon with weekly videos!
Gold does not tarnish and it will way almost double the weight with the same volume, so bars these size (the 900 gram brass bar) will way almost the double. 900 gram brass bar will be exactly the same size as 1700 gram gold bar :) If it where gold I would be a very happy person :) If I ever get 1 million subscribers, I will melt some gold :)

👍 Good luck
Plenty of inngots there! I would never ever melt brass just to make ingots if I was going to re-melt them to make castings, people think they're "cleaning" the metal but really they're boiling the zinc & degrading it.[my opinion] alloy is ok for remelting.
Yeah that is true, but because I do not have a steady supply of brass, I first make some nice sizeable ingots of it for later projects :)
@@Metalstacker Fair enough matey I guess I'm lucky enough to have loads of brass/bronze/alloy & cast iron, people get to know you & are always "dropping off" pot fodder for me especially when I do the odd turning/milling job for them. I built my 1st furnace nearly 50 yrs ago with my Dad. [& burnt a few out along the way!!]
We've done it again, my friend, I did just the same thing a few days ago!
LOL, we think the same mate! Good to hear you made some nice ingots too :) When the shed is built and I am done studying for my new job we should do another collab!
@@Metalstacker I would love to do a collab, just say when you're ready. Also, you won some money art, I need your address.
@@castingtechnology3338 that is great Chris! Thanks al lot mate 🔥 I will send out an email 🔥🔥🔥
Sweet
Thanks!
You should put the heavier metals on the bottom and work your way up to the lightest and then you should display what you make out of the metals.. just a suggestion...
You mean in the safe? I will fill that safe up with copper one day, piece by piece a whole safe filled with copper :)
Well I need that furnace To melt brass cause I’ve been collecting bullets so I can make for casting

What is language? Thanks
We speak Dutch, we ore both from The Netherlands :)

Cool, thanks 👍
Hello greetings from Colorado
Hello there! Hope you enjoyed the video :)
Prefer cooper but Good job :)
Me too mate! When I have the time I will make some awesome copper bullion again :)
Why are you wearing the gas mask?
Because brass is a copper alloy with zinc. Zinc produces toxic fumes while melting (the smoke you can see). It can cause metal fever when inhaling, so better protect myself with a proper gas mask :)
@@Metalstacker
Oh, I see. Thanks
How can you separate cooper from zinc?
Hey iam new su.bscriber here, you have very interesting videos, staying here, i like this themes
Thanks mate! I will upload new video's when my shed has been built, but there are plenty of video's to watch 😁🔥🔥🔥
