to Shane C the product voltage by amps DOES NOT give watts, though in reality that is the measure of power that is needed to rate correctly power transformers and it's measured in volt-ampere. this difference is due to alternating current system used for electric appliances all over the world
I believe he omitted to mention something quite important. First: For all equipment working with a motor (ie the KitchenAid mixer) we need to multiply the calculated Watts is 575W by 2.5 or 3 which makes it 1400 to 1700 Watts which is the minimal required to ensure normal work. The reason being that in the start these equipment absorb 2.5 to 3 times more Amperes. Second: Electronic appliances are affected greatly by the difference of frequency from 60 to 50 Hertz. IF you have an oven with digital thermometer, clock etc for example, they will be affected. I am not sure how much, but somehow at least. Please be well informed before you decide.
Hello sir please can you help me choice a good transformer converter for a USA air dryer i neet to import it to Italy for my business, kindly let me know if we can collaborate. Best regards Andrea
Hi there! Thank you for this video and I find it very informative. I'm from the Philippines, I also have a 120 volts kitchen aid stand mixer which my cousin sent me from California. I bought a transformer from online store here in the Philippines but only 2 pins can fit it in. My kitchenaid has 3 prongs. Is it safe to use a 250 volts adapter with 10Amp to 120 volts then plug it to a transformer which has 220 volts power source? Thank you.
I have a query!!.... If the stepdown transformer is a 1000W and the equipment which I'm using is 50W; will the power consumption be a 1000W by the transformer or just the 50W by the equipment? I dont want to pay an air conditioner's worth electricity bill for a small lamp! Please help! :(
will a britich air conditioner 240 volt work off american dryer circut with fuseing down to right amprage and will refrigerater from germany work on 240 volt dryer circut with fuseing down to 20 amps on both legs german is 220 england is 240 is both withen tollerance for american dryer circut with both legs fused acordingly
pretty late for reply. you may buy a step down transformer whose wattage , read wattage is 1.4 times the wattage written on the apparatus. BTW, cost of the convertor would be 3 times the cost of the appratus
Hi on our list page we have a table showing nintendo, xbox and many other devices and how much power they draw. We also have a handy calculator which you can enter the Amps , voltage to determine the total watts consume by your device see www.tortech.com.au/choosingrightstepdown

It's great to see you're supplying little to no feedback to people asking questions in this comment section :/
Is he still alive?🤔

I used a adapter on my gamecube and fucked it. Need to get it fixed and buy and a transformer.
You say the A x the V = the W, but 0.91A x 120V = 109.2W (not 85W) ... I'm confused :(
Will it damage the equipment if we plug 120v 2amp device on 1000W step down converter ?

What kind of transformer would you recommend for a US imported Nintendo Entertainment System and a Super Nintendo?

How much for the 1000w step down converter ?
My product from the US has 125V on its input label. A steering wheel from Logitec. Do you have a transformer that can help with this?
Thanks :)
It will work fine with a 120/110v transformer.

how can i get good electrical current for my equioments
Thanks for this. How could I use a Meat grinder imported from US which has a 110V in India which has a 240V system.
